Q by Dolce & Gabbana

The juiciest, most intoxicating grown-up fruit punch. I love it so much. Reading the reviews, I feel very lucky to say that I get heaps of mouthwatering cherry, lemon, and blood orange over dreamy, slightly vanillic florals. The new flanker for 2025 is far less interesting in my opinion—yet another dark, woody cherry in the same vein as TF Lost Cherry. This original showcases cherry while retaining more of the freshness people love in Light Blue and Devotion. (Other people--I can't get into Devotion. Something in it is sharp and sour to my nose.) Now, listen. It’s easy to underestimate the projection and longevity on Q. I first sampled it from a tester in an Ulta, which is always just a scent cacophony and I should have known better. After walking around with it on my wrist for a few minutes, I sprayed a few additional times on my collarbone and arms before leaving the store to trial it in the real world. While I enjoyed my scent bubble all day, two members of my family commented that it was unpleasantly strong. A week later, I was still getting whiffs of it off the seat belt in the car I drove home in. Lesson learned. It’s absolutely delicious and a new favorite, but I will be careful not to overspray it! Edit: This has become my warm-weather signature. It's sweet and bright like a fresh fruit salad is sweet, not like frosting is sweet. This and red lipstick and a great pair of sunnies and I am on my way.

Love ❤️ love ❤️ love!!! Absolutely gorgeous, sexy, sensual, regal! This is so beautiful! I don’t get the light blue comparison, the citrus notes add dimension but in my opinion, in no way are prominent. I wouldn’t consider this powdery either. I don’t jive with powdery scents. This is so stunning in that sexy powerful woman way! It’s fierce! I’d say it could teeter on unisex but this is more of a Boss B——- scent! It is LBD in a bottle! With Rockstud stilettos! The woody and musky notes mixed with the cherry! Chef’s kiss 💋! This is a scent for a woman who is comfortable in a man’s world and rules it! This isn’t a girly girl scent, this is a woman’s scent that knows what she wants! For some reason, Samantha from Sex in the city pops in my head, during the Richard era. I personally find this to be more of a fall/winter scent! I don’t get tropical in the least! It’s beautiful and I can’t wait to wear it! I also purchased Queenstown from Maison Alhambra. I’m not sure if it’s intended to be similar to this or the intense version. I can say, they’re similar but the blood orange note is replaced with more of a tart grapefruit note. Q is much better, smoother and more elegant. Stick to the original on this one!

I blindly bought this perfume, basing my purchase solely on the fact that it was crafted by my beloved Dolce & Gabbana and on the reported notes here on Fragrantica, and I must say that this is a gorgeous perfume!!! The opening of Q is a delicious combination of lemon and jasmine that is amazingly warm and musky on my skin. This perfume is by no means a 'girly' fragrance - I find it incredibly womanly. It possesses a regal, mature quality to it. As it dries down, a cherry scent blossoms and ultimately the cedarwood note follows suit, mixing with the lemon and jasmine to create a beautiful concoction of a citrusy, woody delight. Perhaps it's because I've never owned a perfume that has cedarwood, but I find Q to be wonderfully unique as a result of this note. This perfume is heavenly for a girl like me that loves feminine fragrances with spicy and musky undertones. Despite my adoration, my only complaint is that the longevity is quite weak considering the price point.

Idk if I’m the only weird person out here, but I smell a cactus-citrus? I can’t get cactus out of my mind! I just got a tester from Disneys Italy when I bought Dolce Lily. But MAN!!! This scent of SO FUN!! I’m obsessed with it & I might hop back to Italy & but this one .. I can’t live without it! I hope to lord the big bottle smells just like the tester. Because I’m not getting ANY cherry or orange really.. Maybe that cactus smell I’m getting so vibrantly is the heliotrope & cedar mixed together? It’s just so nice tho! It’s like a cleanish cactus type smell, then it completely changes to an almonds warm down. I keep looking it up on all my resale apps because I’m THAT obsessed! Sadly I’m on vacation, so I can pay $155 here, or be patient and pay $50 on resale! Lol! So I’m weighing these options lol! This and Devotion was really nice too!

I’m not a citrus lover and I hate the bottle and the branding of this perfume. I had PTSD from smelling devotion as one of the worst fragrances ever, so I kind of lost interest as D&G as a house. However I was watching Veronica Says talk about this fragrance on her YouTube channel and how citrus can be a very approachable scent profile for others to smell on you. She had a good point and recommended Q. I went to my local department store to test this and immediately purchased it. This is a lovely citrus scent and dries down into a very addictive lemony woody and some kind of dry vanilla or sweetness note. If you are expecting cherry you will be disappointed, but that’s fine by me as I don’t love cherry forward fragrances. I think this could be a good gift and I’d say blind buy safe Love it 8/10

I've changed my vote from an OK to a Love. I got it in early spring and it was just a "Meh" actually. But it was still cold then. It's well over a 100 degrees in this desert and boy oh boy she is singing to me. Not too long lasting but that's fine because I keep switching up throughout the day anyway. Not overly cherry but just enough and a good cherry too. Not cough syrup at all. I love the fresh, musky aspect of this beauty. I haven't tried many D&Gs but I do love The One. I can't recommend this for everyone but yes to those living in a hot, dry climate. It's truly gorgeous and cooling. UPDATE: It was a sweltering 114 degrees a few days ago and I wore Q. Wow did she ever project... By far, my favorite summer perfume.

I wasn’t too excited for the reviews are mostly negative. But I got this in the mail today and wow, I LOVE IT! This is how I want Light Blue to smell like. It’s sweet, bright, and mature (in an elegant way). I like that even tho it has a cherry note, it doesn’t smell super sweet. My husband detected the cherry upon first sniff and he told me, “wow, a cherry note that doesn’t smell cheap”. So yes, that’s a good thing! I also dislike cherries in perfumes cause they smell too juvenile or sweet-like-candy-trying-too-hard so this is good. I love clean scents, bright, and not super showy screaming scents. I like it light and classy. It’s beautiful on a hot day! Smells like a modern queen! Really matches K. Love it! 🌸

I really did not like this one when I first sprayed my sample, but I couldn’t stop thinking about it... sprayed it a second time and still wasn’t in love, but it definitely started to grow on me the longer I wore it that second day. Today was the third day I tried it and I am actually now in love with it!! I am not sure what changed over the course of trying it out once a month but it is absolutely delicious and I’m obsessed. However, it does sit real close and does not project hardly at all, and it lasts around 4-5 hours which I think is decent. But the smell alone is gorgeous and I will definitely be buying this in a larger size!! I think it would work well in any season :)

Hey I just want to reflect to the opinions that this perfume has no sillage-it has at least an arm lenght becouse I met with this frag first time in a Gym Arena where a woman next to my Husband wear this and I fell in love instantly her smell. It has a beautyfule unusual and unique aura mixed with blood orange, cherry, musk and heliothrope. I don’t get the Light Blue wibe at all, it does not comes to my mind becouse this perfume has more depth. After 3,5 hours I get the brave to ask her what is she whearing? She said it’s the new D&G with the crown. I decided to buy one for myself. Very good and likeable scent!

I’m tickled by all the hate for this and all the love for D&G Devotion. This one has some ‘dirty’ sexy notes that remind me of vintage Dior Eau Sauvage, a men’s fragrance I like to wear. It starts out all bright and citrusy, but thank goodness it has some depth and develops into more of a skin scent — a scent that does not just sit on your skin like a blob of sweet pudding, a candle, or syrup, but melds with your humanness. It’s slightly animalic, and I really like that. But if you don’t like smelling like a warm, clean, sexy human, you might not like this. 😉

I think this is a beautiful perfume! If you like strong perfumes with huge sillage this might not be for you though. This is quite lightweight and works well as an everyday perfume. I smell mostly cherry. Not in an artificial and strong way but more like a real cherry. This is not very sweet. But I don't recommend blind buying it because I can see reviews being very mixed with this one. For me this is a really beautiful and even a bit delicate scent that still has something interesting in it and I really love it.

Honestly I don’t understand negative reviews about this fragrance. To me it’s a very juicy cocktail on a sunny day. Refreshing, happy and bright. Zesty, slightly sweet blood orange with hint of tart cherry. It’s more fruity , feminine and interesting than Light Blue ( which is more linear and lemony to me), they are not the same at all, maybe distant cousins. I can detect some berries, maybe blueberries or red berries. Overall it’s a great spring/ summer scent. Decided to get fb right after first sniff.

Guy here. I don’t understand the hate on this. It smells like armpit? Urine and Celery? What?! 😂 People have to get their noses checked lol. I bought it for my wife for Mothers Day. She loves it and I love it. It’s citrusy and fruity and mixed well. I understand the knock on performance, but just go heavy. It will offend no one. It’s light blue with some grenadine. Sign me up!

I fell in love when I spritzed it in Ulta, it was a light lemon cherry scent that was fresh and not heavy, and ended up getting a perfume sampler bag with this in it, and I wore that for a bit to make sure I loved it. I finally got a bottle and I hated it, it smelled like lemon soap. I'm hoping that I'll like it again after it gets a little oxidized.

I love love that fresh, elevating classy and playful summer scent! It definitely carries the Light Blue vibes but it is a perfect alternative to it if you feel something new. The lemon is definitely there but blended a very beautiful way with the rest of the notes. I honestly can not smell cherry at all. It is definitely not boring scent to me!

Very green opening on my skin. Beautiful drydown. Immaculate final drydown, leaving an addictive scent behind on clothes or whatever it touches. I can't smell any of the individual notes listed and, based on the composition, I can't figure out how this smells so green but I still really enjoy this fragrance.

Every comment I read on this perfume is very negative but I love this perfume. I sampled in the store and was instantly in love. It was very very tart and fruity on me in the best way. Just a very strong tart fruity yummy scent. I love it and will be purchasing it very soon.

I was able to test this and I wanted to buy it so bad. Definitely reminds me of Light Blue but with way more lemon. But the scent disappeared so fast I couldn’t believe how poor the longevity of it is! It’s such a nice fresh scent! Very disappointing:(

I really like this. Fresh flowery scent with a strong sweet redcurrant note vibing through it all. This scent make me feel happy and motivated . I only got a tester , but hopefully one day I Dan buy a big bottle.

I love the scent which smells exactly like Jergens Cherry Almond lotion but it does not last at all on me. It gives fresh, just out of the shower clean vibes. Too bad it doesn’t last longer.

At first I was not to keen on it but then , something comes out in the dry down that is so beautiful, it’s a fresh clean smell that just gets better as it dries Down ❤️

The opening is juicy orange very fresh and soft after a while I can detecte the cherry note and something kinda almondy, it's a safe blind buy for summer ☀️ love it

Bright juicy cherry lollipop. This surprised me, it’s such a juicy fun scent. If you like a powdery base with juicy fruity notes, you’ll love this 🍒

Great sillage? Are you kidding me? Perhaps, for a minute and a half and then it's gone completely. It's a lovely scent, but not worth that cash.

This smells so fresh. My first ever full bottle of perfume. It's tart when you first spray it and then settles into sort of sweet warm smell.

I Get most of the cherry note and some vanilla.Very nice .Much better then TF lost cherry.😉

*Editing to add: I ran out of my samples and decided I couldn't live without it. There's just something about it! So now I have the huge bottle and like I said before, it acts more like a body spray and that's the way I treat it. A very expensive body spray. It does last forever on clothes, just not on skin.* Smelled this in store before reading any reviews and fell in love and bought the big bottle. Unfortunately, I realized how quickly it fades to a barely there skin scent. The sales associate was kind enough to let me take some samples home with my purchase and I used it for a few days but found myself reapplying every few hours. I consider this to be a super expensive designer body spray. It really is beautiful. The opening is so yummy and made me feel so happy and light. Citrus cherry right at the top and it is freaking delightful. Mature in all the right ways while not being old. But that all goes away in about an hour and the scent that I’m obsessed with sniffing reduces to a musky cologne on my skin with no real depth to it. I’m not kidding, I’m so sad because I want that initial spray smell to last forever. I took the bottle back for a return but kept my samples and often spray my wrists to see if anything changes, but it’s hopeless. I might just buy it just because I really do love the opening and I’ll just deal with having to re spray.

Ahhh! I thought I wasn't going to like this much, glad to be wrong! 😝 At first spritz this really is underwhelming, because admittedly this is very "been there done that". It's incredibly similar in tone to Light Blue throughout the wear length, but especially in the opening minutes. Yet...maybe it's not fair to say as much? I personally love the opening of Light Blue, so this is actually good to my nose? Yet, when it settles it begins to depart from LB, and I cannot believe it... It's a cherry I don't hate 😳 If anyone knows me they know that I really struggle with cherry, and I'm not enjoying fragrance trends lately that feature the note. Yet, *this* is light enough and contains a nearly green quality about it that totally cuts the sweetness, and it's unbelievably tolerable! In fact, I really enjoy it. The rest of this is quite understandable and familiar (it's impossible not to compare it to LB), but it's so pleasant that I honestly don't mind. It's just citrus, a dash of unsweetened cherry, and that iconic cedar with clean musk. 👌 Is it overpriced. Yes. Would I grab this if it came down in price? Also yes. If you're hoping for more cherry though, I think you'll be disappointed. In fact, I suspect a good many people will be. But I'm not 😅 If you're wary of cherry, give Q a wearing! Hehe...

skin test, hot day. this fragrance is bright and rounded, it has a very sheer feel, the cherry is gentle and not fruity per se, slightly eraser like if anything, the lemon is very gentle, i actually wouldn't call this a citrus scent as i know it. the lemon here is like lemon essence in cooking. thee is however a gentle citric (not acidic) and light wood back drop - this could be aromatics, again i wouldn't call this an aromatic though. could be uinsex if you like, though for most women it would be fine, it stays longer on fabric than skin. ive had about 3 hours, its still present, its clean, very gentle rounded citrus and cherry with delicate branches of aromatic bushes i the backdrop - not green, not heavily so, it takes it out of fruity territory. some people have mentioned urine - not for me, and others note cleaning product - well, not really - not the common ones anyhow, maybe a very high end light one if anything.. otherwise no, not a cleaning product. i also note the Lightblue comparison, for me its a no. possibly very distant same family, not the same scent though. LB is far more lemony woody twisted amazing.. the scent itself is quite lovely, i wonder if this one is better layered with some Iso e super??

I do love this perfume, but it is true that it’s not very long-lasting/has a weak projection on my skin. I’ve been complimented on it by people (among others, DPR Ian??? yes that actually happened), so I guess it IS detectable to the nose of others, but I can barely smell it on myself after just a few minutes. I find that it sits beautifully on textiles though, and spraying it on clothes makes it last longer and it makes the scent come out differently. Instead of the screamy lemon notes when you spray it and the faint woody drydown, I feel like the notes that kinda disappear on my skin have a chance to blend when sprayed on clothing. So maybe that’s something to try if you feel like this perfume doesn’t last for you!

The deep syrupy Cherry found in ‘Q parfum’ has been my unexpected fixation of the month. Somehow as a cherry lover the line has slipped under my nose, literally. The OG one here is much less Cherry focused, but it’s nearly as interesting. This reminds me of a Cherry’d up Issey Miyake offering. Refreshing and clean but uniquely accented by the fruity notes. Fresh Cherry fragrances usually dont work for me as they come off like cheap hair care products, but this is just very well done. To my nose this really could be a unisex fragrance. Unfortunately most men (likely insecure ones) will be lost to the feminine/queen marketing, and miss out on this fun lil gem. 🤩

This is like the fall/winter version of Light Blue. It's a bit less aquatic, a bit more woody. For the person (like me) who is obsessed with aquatic citruses in the summer and wants something similar for the colder months. Personally I like to switch gears completely when the seasons change (to gourmand vanilla & sandalwood), but not everyone does. 'Q' is a sister to Light Blue, same light citrus effervescent feel, but wrapped in a warm blanket of cherry & cedar. Still stays close to the skin and doesn't project much, which is how many people love to wear fragrance. Definitely work and office friendly.

This is surprisingly nice! It’s very fruity but in an elegant and mature way. It’s sweet and has great sillage but is not sickening, even in summer. It smells sensual and sexy. My husband really likes it and he is not a big perfume fan. On my skin, the blood orange dominates but i can smell a bit of the heliotrope too and the mix is really interesting. I don’t even mind the cherry here, which is a note i usually don’t like. This scent definitely has personality. I imagine a very sensual and feminine woman wearing it, the likes of Monica Belluci. Great choice for date nights. 9/10.

Q is unusual combination of cherry and lemon, that creates a unique and fresh scent. Modern fragrance that is in line with recent fragrance releases. It does require frequent reapplication throughout the day. The scent is versatile and suitable for wearing in any setting, including the office. I have used a sample of this fragrance every day for a week and have found it to be an enjoyable scent that I would consider wearing again. However, as someone who already owns many fresh and fruity fragrances, I will not personally invest in a full bottle of Q for now.

Q smells too good to fade so quickly, and for there to be zero silage. I’ve had to reapply multiple times to continue to smell it on myself which typically is not a problem for me. After like 2 hours, I have to press my nose against my wrist to still smell it. Yikes! For these reasons, it definitely isn’t worth the price. Q does smell good, though. The cedar is the perfect finish; I think this is where the slightly spicy note comes from. I can also smell the lemon and blood orange throughout the entire wear. It just doesn’t last long enough.

So this is going to sound crazy but after the whole day having this on my hand it literally smells like baccarat rouge 🤣🫣 I think it is that cherry that gives me that exact vibe . As I hate BR I will definitely stay away from this . At first I could clearly smell light blue dna and I liked it . But this dry down is na-a ! Edit : oh and now I read a comment below saying that at the end of the day it smells like dentist office well that makes sense as a lot of people say BR smells like hospital 🤣. Ok so Iam not crazy

Yep, like most people noticed, it's just a reinterpretation of Light Blue, but with that Sour Cherry bitter sweet "fruit seed" note they keep using in the latest releases for women, like Very Good Girl Glam for instance. Could be considered a "sexy cherry" flanker of Light Blue. Those who expected something new from D&G will be disappointed. I've also noticed that late in the drydown phase it turns very powdery, like a Cherry Violet accord or something, probably because of the Heliotrope.

The performance of this one is better than of Light Blue (any). So, even if it's not beast mode, it's better than the old D&G, which doesn't get much negative reviews. My point is, if this one gets complaints about the performance and scent, the soft and basic Light Blue should have its brains bashed in, but it's still appreciated today for what it is. So, praising that one and criticizing this one makes zero sense, if you ask me.

It reminds me city gardens scent in London. To me the dry out seems like towards male tones. In the same time is a very light and subtle. when I sniff it ... it also takes me to Chicago Boystown on Halsted and Belmont and boys meeting for a drink, date wear that scent on. It has a lovely citruses covered with dairy queen ice creams. ... Its like a walk after the rain . . . when sun awakes behind silver clouds. .. . .

Sparkling pink lemonade with boutique marischino cherry on top. I've been reaching for this every morning as I get ready since getting it in a gift set for Christmas. Surprising I love dry vanillas, esp in winter... but this is soooo nice and juicy and feminine with a touch of sweetness that isn't sugary or gourmand. I feel fresh and clean as it lasts for about 3 hours at work and is pleasant and unoffensive.

The lemon and cherry are very noticeable, while the jasmine quietly makes its presence known in the background. This is a true summer fragrance. It feels completely different from most of the perfumes I've tried so far, and once again Dolce & Gabbana didn't disappoint. If you're wondering who I imagine wearing this perfume: Maggie Murdock from Love and Other Drugs and Lucy Whitmore from 50 First Dates. ☀️🍒

I think this is absolutely chic. When I first smelled it in store I could pick up the cedar and citrus strongly, but couldn't really discern much cherry or floral until I read the notes. It does smell kind of masculine and punchy at times, and I get the detergent and aftershave comparisons haha but it's really nice and refreshing. I'd call it unisex, though feminine leaning. Smells kind of 90s!

I read all the reviews here. Also, I'm not a huge D&G fan and never wanted to own any of their fragrances. But this it special. It's a soft subtle scent. Nothing crazy but very well done. The opening reminded me of Dior Escale a Potofino. Then some sweet soft fruitiness came in and I was hooked. Ignore the haters and give it a try. Do not blind buy bc it's pricy.

This is my husband’s favorite fragrance on me. We first smelled it at the airport, I tested it and bought it as soon as we got home. A beautiful citrusy cherry, it’s quite sweet and light once it dries down. The longevity is the only downside, it last maybe 3 hours in my skin. The intense version is more cherry forward, that one lasts a bit longer. 🍒 🍋 ✨

There’s nothing really wrong with this fragrance. However, it’s a bit underwhelming. It doesn’t really project much, and it barely lasts three hours on my skin. It would be nice for work or the gym, and probably an outdoor event. It would be safe to get a teenage girl as a gift because it is pretty, but not strong and definitely not overly mature.

This is "Light Blue: the Remix" - lemon, jasmine, musk and an addition of fruitiness from the cherry. To me, this is the same woman as LB but she's gone inland for a camping trip. It's a cute frag and not as astringent as LB, so if that was a miss this might be a hit :) For me, it's not FBW but it is one I'm glad I got my nose on.

I tested it on paper today, I couldn’t know what I was smelling rather than the citrus notes. But after 6 hours now, the scent is still projecting and it evolved to a pretty aroma. It’s fresh, young, acquatic or Ozonic, at least to my nose. I coudn’t remember what it remind me of, but it’s a sporty, active happy fragrant.
