The One Gold For Men

Actually this fragrance deserves more like and respect. Nowadays there are lots of ambroxan and bubblegummy scents and dg gold is an example of courage. It is not important how many notes listed in the breakdown only thing you need to know this is a gorgeous ginger scent. The role of the other notes are just to support the main character ginger. Some likes impressing people with loud and strong fragrance regardless of the others' tastes and likes. However some stand out with their intelligence and intellectualness. If you are self confident and already believing in yourself, this is your signature scent. Very manly and sexy, close to the skin but very effective and dense in its impact area. Believe or not ,somebody would secretly put their nose on jacket or coat that you took off. Oh man just try it out.

The One EDP Gold is an exquisite, masculine fragrance. It settles into your skin like a crimson aura, almost like a burgundy-toned aurora borealis that stays with you throughout the day. I understand the hate it gets, it’s like wearing a crisp, tucked-in white shirt, if you are ugly it falls flat, but if you aren't, you become the center of attention. Rest assured, this is a wonderful fragrance. Don’t base your personality on the “uniqueness” of what you wear, but on the overall impression you project. It’s excellent for autumn and mild days, with a discreet sillage, lasting around six hours on skin and over eight hours on fabric.

I really like this one. It's definitely not mediocre and i certainly prefer it over the middle-eastern influenced fragrances. Perhaps it's because I have lived in some of the Gulf countries, but I just don't find those interesting, nor fascinating in the least. They are a novelty at best. This one comes on with a slight bubble gum beginning, somewhat like Halloween Man, then mellows out. I don't get much of the original The One DNA, but I do get spices - which I like. It's certainly a safe office scent. This one will get much wear. Ignore the YouTube reviewers and try it for yourself.

Quite nice despite the negative reviews. This site is great for a quick reference but ultimately, your skin will tell you what you need to know. This projects nicely on me. It's basically a day time version of the EDP and EDT with better performance....on my skin. Either way it's a versatile, every day fragrance that isn't redundant or offensive.

Beautiful spicy, powdery, masculine blood orange that lasts 8hs+ on my skin( that is a black hole for long lasting fragrances, meaning the most potent extrait de parfum disappear almost immediately), projection is pretty good for about 2 hours but I’m also an over sprayer. Over all a solid informal date summer fragrance for the price.

Unrelated to the original. It has a winter holiday gingerbread spicy cookie vibe. It's unique and doesn't remind of anything else in particular. Regardless of any similarity with anything, or the lack of it, it's a very nice fragrance, but should have been released as a new standalone piece. The same goes for the Intense flanker.

7/10 Scent = 3/3 Performance = 1/3 Wearability = 3/3 Value = 0/1 (no special point for the value, it is okey) This smells like a flowerpot, which is not a bad thing. It is extremely soothing and addictive to smell. However, the projection is bad. But the fragrance itself is beautiful. I can get The One DNA dry-down.

Great smell, weak performance... smells awesome for the first couple of hours, then almost nothing... I can still smell eros on the 9ther wrist from a day amd a shower ago, while this stuff is go e from three hours ago.... great smell while it lasts though... but even then not much projection...

I love this fragrance. Probably my favourite buy in 2021. I get nothing but a cherry note. Smells exactly like a sour cherry fruit juice from Turkey. I think the hate really comes from fragrance snobbery. This is a mass pleaser fragrance, the general public will love this.

As i am wearing it today, i just want to add: The One Gold is the freshie of the line. Good for office and daytime errands. The performance is moderate at best. Spray skin and shirt liberally to get decent sillage. Nice smelling, mass appealing and won't offend anyone.

Quite nice. The blood orange note is given extension with unlisted orange blossom for the duration of the fragrance. Its that orange blossom note that pushes it into generic territory but it is a step above. Fresh, citric, floral, ambery, spicy.

The blast of ginger at the start hits really good. Performance is there and what surprised me is that I thought it was going to be just a spinoff of the K DNA but its very different in that it's so manly. Im talking almost Old spice manly. 👍

I smelled this at the Macy's fragrance counter and immediately had to have it. I give it a 9/10. I get a fresh woody/pine note in the opening. I agree with others that this smells NOTHING like The One EDP, but it should be it's own line.

Nothing to do with The One edp,intense and edt. This is more fresh in the opening and more woody in the dry down. The dry down has some similarities with Sauvage Elixir. Good projection for the first 2 hours and good longevity

This is just sooooo good. my dad had a sample from this just laying around and then i got it from him and it was just amazing, it is just wonderfull, it is defenitaly worth it to try 9/10

very nice starts very citrusy aromatic with the blood orange and sage, but the blood orange settles more warm and spicy alongside other spices, then dries down quite soapy

Nice and soapy clean scent, easy to wear, office safe. It's pretty simple, and lasts probably 2-3 hrs, VERY similar to their "K" D&G, same bitter citrus, and sage.

Underrated. Not a ground breaking release, but a worthy flanker. It smells really good and mass appealing. The performance is moderate, and surprisingly versatile.

On my skin this is just gorgeous. Sublime, long lasting scent. It's very comforting. One of the best purchases of the year.

Call it less sophisticated, call it juvenile; but what you can't call The One Gold is a bad scent. This one, wow.

it does not smell like The One OG and Edp version, but it smells really good, fresh and masculine, woody.

I don't know why the rating is so low, but the smell is really wonderful, perfect for summer evenings 🌇

Layer it with Emporio Armani Stronger With You Intensely, absolutley fantastic scent

If you're expecting another "The One" flanker to smell similar to original in the series you'll be disappointed. If you're expecting longevity where 6 hours is not enough you'll be disappointed too but to be fair it's a citrus based fragrance which most won't have the greatest longevity to begin with. The scent is sweet, fruity mostly from the blood orange, it's aromatic, A youthful fragrance that can shine in the day time, summer or spring. There's depth to it.This would be a great fragrance for a beginner starting out their collection when this hits discounter websites. There's nothing I dislike about it. No oud, no overwhelming amount of spice or certain notes that would create a headache juice. No florals, it doesn't smell out dated at all.I would not use this for date night or anywhere fancy. Clubbing you may be able to get away with this if you over spray to cut through all the people who bathed in sauvage, le male and one million on the dance floor. longevity - from a first use. I'd say reapply this every 6 hours. I'm at around the 8 to 9 hours mark with 5 sprays from my sample bottle. Safe to say I didn't bathe in it and I'm down to very faint whiffs of it at that 8 to 9 hour mark. It's not the weakest fragrance you'll ever buy. I'd reapply this every 6 hours If you do get this you'll certainly have to over spray this. I like this more than a lot of the overpriced niche fragrance samples most snobs would pretend to prefer fragrancebuy used to send me around the holidays during larger orders. back to the fragrance is it unique? No. But not everything we own has to be is it easy to wear? absolutely, it'll be harder to find reasons not to wear this would I buy a full bottle of this? Not currently At the end of the day I like it, not love it. Right now winter or not when I'm writing this I just feel it doesn't fit in with my collection right now where I'd need it. If it was under $40 I could see myself with this as brands mean nothing to me. Plus the bottle is eye catching. If you're into fragrances such as the original paco rabanne invictus (EDT). However made more masculine. Usually I love grapefruit but I welcome the change with the blood orange. Perhaps a brighter/sweeter and slightly more complex version of the top and middle notes of rasasi fattan without the grassiness from the vetiver. White lacoste edt or acqua di gio or one of the many creed milisime imperial clones out there (ed hardy - love and luck or sean jean - unforgivable) you'll like this. I really don't get the Pure XS or Dior Sauvage EDP comparisons though as I've owned and used both quite a lot. If anything as I used to be a big fan of Paco Rabanne before EVERYTHING was sugary sweet unisex leaning feminine mens fragrances it's like a more day time version of Paco Rabanne - Black XS from 2005. Which is like 1/3rd the price from discounters for a current formulation of it.

#753 in my "Tour de fragrance" There are so many scents like this. Hard to say what this smells like when it smells like a hundred other scents. Citrusy, gingery, . Tommy Hilfiger "Now", YSL "Homme Ultime", YSL "La Nuit de L'Homme Bleu Electrique", Azzaro "Wanted", Creed "Aventus Absolu", Mancera "Cedrat Boise", Acqua di Parma "Colonia Intensa", Burberrry "Brit for Men", Herrera "Bad Boy Cobalt" Armaf "Ventana Marine". Nothing unique about any of those scents. They're all fine scents, though mostly mediocre performers, as citrus freshies tend to be. Don't get me wrong, this is a nice warm weather scent, good for casual or office wear. Car pool, elevator, any environment. Deserves a little better rating than it's got. It's likeable, but it's just not unique in any way. If you don't have something like this it's a good enough choice, though for something like this I don't see the point of spending a lot of money. For me, citrus freshies are something to throw on in the summer before leaving for work, the beach, after the gym, whatever. I keep something like a Tommy Bahama, Nautica or Orginal Penguin in the car for that purpose. Something which costs around $20. Unless you just gotta have this pretty gold bottle.

100ml for 50€ (on a sale)??? Must be a scam, and no way to test it? Nowhere else on a shelf? So i bought it, my second blind buy ever. The One Gold, does something good in its own way. With its woody notes not to overkill, being subtle in its projectory, you get a mix of a fresh yet masculine perfume. I wore it only in Fall and winter for now, since even tho it has fresh notes, it could be to much for a "warm" day. Try it on spring nights it could be a good call. Even tho its not projecting as much as The One EDP, it still got noticed on me and made people ask what scent I was wearing. Its good for daily use, regarding office, school or going out with friends. I personally would not use it for special occasions, if you want to stand out, since I think there are better alternatives. Was it blind buy safe? meh, its a lil unique in its own way, try it before you buy!

Beautiful fresh blood orange and ginger opening gives way to a light sage and slightly cinnamon geranium/cardamom heart, base notes stick around for hours, adding some light amber with light patchouli. I'm not really getting much more than a whisper of vetiver. It's an interesting creation, but much like Gentlemen, it doesn't really fit in with the rest of The One for Men lineup. I prefer The One Grey which is a decent warm weather flanker with true roots to the OG The One. Longevity is decent enough at around 5 hours, soft projection in the first hour and a half. It's not reinventing the wheel, but it's pleasant. Smells like something a more distinguished gentleman than myself would wear. I have a 99% full 100ml I received as a gift that I would be willing to trade or sell for cheap. PM me if you are interested.

Smells very similar to other mens fragrances but it smells very good. I see some people say it smells similar to Montblanc Legend Red so I'm gonna assume it's similar to most 'red' mens' fragrances. Since I don't have Legend Red on hand (it's at my bf's place) I'm usually not a fan of super sweet men's fragrances but this one isn't super sweet and the drydown isn't too powdery like some super old fashioned scents of the olden days. It's a pretty safe wear and smells pleasant. If you don't have any other mens' spicy and sweet fragrances, then I'd say buy it if you want.

Not my type of fragrance at all and I love it. I generally hate freshies but I find this extremely pleasant. Excellent blend, definitely clean and bright and mass appealing but it isn't nearly as generic and familiar as most are claiming. My guess is that most people are disappointed it isn't a deeper/richer/more intense version of the EDP, it's an ENTIRELY different profile than the original One DNA and they mad. Gets way more hate than makes any sense. Get your nose on it and be objective before you buy it and ragereview that it isn't what you thought it would be

I feel like D&G are trying to pull a Dior Sauvage Elixir in a sense that they've seemed to almost entirely shift the direction of the original DNA & made them sickly saccharine sweet in '21. As someone who doesn't care for either The One or Sauvage lines, I'm really liking this The One Gold. It's almost got a Spicebomb sweetness but less exotic, more fruity, flowery fun & playful. From all the negative reviews it seems to be getting, I'll be keeping my eye out for a discounted bottle of this rather than paying full retail price.

Je n'étais pas convaincu par ce nouveau flanker, je commence à l'apprécier pleinement au bout d'un an. Ses facettes agrumes et vétiver se font ressentir en majorité, avec un coté sucré doux et une pointe de gingembre. Le fond est typiquement masculin, de la chaleur de l'ambre comme dans The One original, un peu de poussière pour compléter cela. En bref un parfum frais-chaud à sentir pour le plaisir, pas le meilleur à porter par contre, difficile d'égaler The One for men.

I sort of like this one. More so than the original but then again, I wasn't a fan of the original. Just being honest. The blood orange and bergamot make for a very interesting opening and I like that a lot. Drydown is a bit boring in my opinion. Not bad, but I feel like this kind of drydown has been done so many times already. A solid fragrance for office work days during the fall. That's how I would use this.

Very mass appealing date night scent. Sweet ginger gourmand, the slight citrus and cardamom add yum factor. It's not overly heavy, so I think it's versatile. Leans masculine, this is more what I expect "the one" to smell like. I had the original edt and sold my mostly full bottle. This is the best I've smelled in the line up. Nothing super standouts about it , solid 8/10

This fragrance is definitely not a fresh or summer scent. I honestly don’t understand why it’s been marketed that way. It’s actually quite heavy and feels much more suitable for winter or colder seasons. To me, it somewhat resembles fragrances like Dunhill Desire Red and scents in that style, even XS. anyway the scent is good but performance is weak

It smells really good. Blood orange and ginger in the opening. Dries down to wood and cardamom on me. Sweet but yet masculine. The performance is a issue. It doesn’t last long and I have to overspray to get any kind of performance longer than 2 hours. Its a shame it doesn’t last. If it was sticking a longer time on skin, I would rate it higher.

The blood orange and ginger work so well. The sage works pretty well with that and the geranium gives it some energy. I think the amber is what's keeping me from not loving it, it's not quite meshing with me. For those that it does work with, it is a great all around fragrance. Wear it anywhere any time. Not strong projection.

Unlike The One Eau de Parfum for men, this one’s opening is permeated with blood orange, so much so that there was no semblance to the original at all. Only when it gets closer to the dry down does The One dna appear. Quite likable and easy to use if you like the sharp citrus opening.

Don't understand the hate on this. I think it's a very pleasant smelling spring/summer freshie...I think the marketing people got the name wrong...it should be called The One eau fraiche or The One summer edition or something similar. Anyways I like it a lot.

Unique scent for sure. A bit of The One DNA, and something like a gold citrus candy thing going on. It smells masculine and sophisticated. It is refined, but has a synthetic amber chemical that may be a bit much. I like it, but it is not The One for me.

I just tried it today for the first time and really liked it. Soapy, citrusy, gingery. Reminds me of LV L'Immensite and Immagination. Not sure why all the hate. If this was an LV release, everyone would be praising it. Performance seems weak, though.

Its ok, nothing special. top notes disappear fast along with the dry down and become an oriental spice scent which is all that's left in your sillage. for me i cant wait until its finished so i can replace it for something less mediocre

This is a pleasant scent but it's a little too light. To me it's like a lighter Boss Bottled. It's nice but I wish it was stronger.
