The One Gold Limited Edition

I bought this today and somehow it doesn't seem quite as heavy/vanilla nor does it have the same projection or silage as the original. I contacted D&G and yes it is the same just different bottle. I will use the bottle as a bedroom ornament when empty.Projection & silage are unbelievably poor had I not of purchased it in a large department store I would believe it to be fake!

I own all of the limited edition bottles from the Dolce & Gabbana The One Gold line. The point deduction here goes to the bottle itself. The finish on the Gold version feels relatively cheap and tends to peel over time. This version feels more mature than the original. The opening centers on the sweetness of ripe plum, with a slightly liqueur soaked fruit quality. There is also a touch of pink pepper adding a gentle spice. Overall, it smells denser and heavier than the original The One. The biggest change in Gold is the replacement of the original’s soft white floral atmosphere with a combination of plum, rose, and patchouli. Once the rose emerges in the heart, the fragrance becomes noticeably more mature. The ripe plum remains present, so the early heart has the impression of a dark fruit accord supporting the rose. There are other white florals in the background, but the rose is clearly the dominant floral note, carrying a rounded, slightly sweet, and sophisticated character. Patchouli plays an important role here. It prevents the fragrance from becoming overly sweet and adds a woody layer to the drydown. What finally remains on the skin is a warm woody blend of plum and rose. Both longevity and projection are strong.

I have used many perfumes with lily and amber notes...Sad about this perfume as it seems to be a copy of a classic fragrance and not, itself, a classic :( Likable but leaves me wanting something more...

The bottle is stunning and nice to look at. However, that's pretty much it for me. I tried it on in the store and it smelled fruity and creamy which is why i bought it. I tried it at home after a shower (I used unscented body wash and mild lotion after) just to get a clear idea of what it's like. The opening has the fruity citrusy bit, which is great but then it dries down and mixes up with the musk. I don't get much vanilla at all and its just a citrusy musky moss on my skin. Edit: I wore it for an entire day at work and it has amazing longevity. It also showed its creamy gourmand-ish notes on me during the second or third wear. This is a great option if you want a mature powdery scent with hints of sweetness. It's as classy as the bottle.

This is supposed to be the same formula as the original The One, but I find this one more easy to wear, Its not as loud and in your face as The One, here I also detect more Plum. I like this one far better then The One. A scent for fall/winter. Denna ska visst vara exakt samma som The One men jag finner denna lättare att bära. Den är inte lika uppkäftigt och kraftig som The One, och här hittar jag även mer Plommon-not. Jag gillar denna varianten mycket mer än The One. en höst/vinterdoft i mitt tycke.

I only smelled the original from a sample a while ago. Today I put this on for the first time. As far as I remember they smell the same. It makes me think of delicious sweet fruit juice. The powdery note makes it even more yummy, a BIG like for me.

I haven't smelled the original yet - since I cant seem to find it, I tried out this one. This is a very sweet vanilla on my skin. I cannot detect the other notes. It lasted a very long time though.

If you would like to know my oppinion The parfume smelle sjust like the package... Luxuriouse and stijvol I don't know what that word in english is, but it's lovely trust me

Isn ́t it just a collectors bottle? That ppl will buy just for the bottle and the same scent?

I contacted D&G this is the same scent, just a different bottle!!!
