If the original was an ambitious young man in an impeccably tailored suit, the Parfum version is a patriarch who can afford not to follow the rules, but to dictate them. The scent itself is a thick, almost tangible substance. Forget about frivolous sillage. This is a viscous, resinous-woody monolith where amber is elevated to an absolute. The resins here don't just smolder — they melt like liquid gold. The spices are selected with surgical precision: they prickle the senses, preventing the composition from tumbling into a generic oriental, while dark, dense vanilla holds the structure in a vice grip. The base is crafted with defiant, old-school quality — it is monumental, phenomenally long-lasting, and sits on the skin as if carved from stone. In an era where everything is fleeting, D&G hands us eternity. Naturally, such a fragrance colossus demanded matching visual storytelling. Madonna’s appearance in the campaign is more than mere marketing — it’s masterclass casting and a gesture of absolute loyalty to a long-standing friendship. The promotional video resonates with the scent itself: pure, refined eroticism, where two males (one a daring youth, the other a forty-year-old man with a predatory gaze) battle for the pop icon's favor. The symbolism of this battle hits like a sledgehammer. Set to the hypnotic, pulsing rhythm of "Bambola" (the Italian "Doll," which Madonna covers with her trademark bravado), a choice unfolds between fleeting freshness and mature strength. Madonna, a true aesthete, chooses the older man — an aged, potent, concentrated masculinity. She chooses the Parfum version. Sure, knowing her fickle nature, tomorrow she might change her mind and turn back to youth, but today, victory belongs to mature power. This olfactory triumvirate unfolds at the perfect time: Madonna's new 2026 album, which is currently tearing up global charts, could not have arrived at a better moment. The record is an audio imprint of the fragrance itself: equally dense, defiantly dominant, unforgiving of weakness, and taking over space entirely. The One Parfum is defiantly expensive, grandiose, and thoroughbred. The fragrance is a statement for those who aren't afraid to take up the entire room and aren't afraid to dominate. Another masterpiece or pure provocation? Both. And while this amber monster melts your senses, her hypnotic, endlessly echoing chant from the music video tolls in your head like a bell: «...No ragazzo no tu non mi metterai tra le dieci bambole che non ti piacciono più oh no, oh no Tu mi fai girar, tu mi fai girar... poi mi butti giù, poi mi butti giù...»

I have been working my way through a 5ml decant of this and it smells very nice. It definitely has the classic One DNA and has much better performance than the old EDP. Unfortunately, while very pleasant, it lacks a lot of the subtle nuances of the original EDT and EDP. I still really like this and it is more enjoyable than the old ones, but it doesn't have the same kind of depth. I guess the trade off being depth for performance. I could see the comparison in the late stages to Grand Soir, with that rich amber, much more masculine and less lacks the powderiness. Speaking of performance, I get about 7 hours on skin and much longer on clothing. Projection is much better than the old EDP, but it's still not amazing. I get about 3ft/1m projection for the first hour, about 1ft/30cm projection for hours 2-3, and settles to a skin scent for the last 3 hours. I would say it's slightly above average in terms of performance, which is much better than the old EDP which was a bit better than the EDT. This is perfect for the Fall and Winter, early Spring when it's still below room temperature, same with late summer nights. It's still a delicate and intimate fragrance, with 50% more performance than the old EDP. Just like the old formulas, I believe this is unisex, leaning masculine. There is was more of a delicate floral undertone in the older versions that made them a bit more unisex, but I could absolutely see a woman wearing this with no issues. TL,DR: it's beautiful, a bit linear, not as nuanced as the old EDT/EDP, but definitely retains the classic DNA, with much performance, even though overall, the performance is slightly above average. 89/100

I love every negative review because it means one less person who will buy a bottle of this fragrance. I love this SHIT. does it sit close to your skin, sure, is it beastmode projection, nah. But it is so sexy, sultry, and smooth. it really surprised me off the bat with a boost of freshness. what it takes away in spices from the EDP it makes up for it with a much deeper and denser profile. I feel like the EDP flirts with its amber and tobacco, and this Parfum wants to take the amber and tobacco home. It eases you, starts to ramp up and then stops before it gets too crazy or loud. (pause, for everything i just said)... if u put three sprays of this on i think its guarenteed people will be able to smell u for a few hours, which for a night out is all u need. i def would not really wear this in any situation i wasnt doing something romantic. it feels too special to me. i think many snobs will find it too simple and not a beastmode projector, but honestly u dont need complex or beastmode. if u wanna attract a person at the end of the day u wont do it with SWY or Liquid Brun alone. I love this fragrance though and am more than happy to have it as my The One EDP replacement. It feels both like an improvement on the original and even more mass appealing which im a sucker for. Also maybe not on a humid night but id even still wear this in the spring on a really nice date. Prolly not where i live (southern US) but i could see somebody on the east coast or somewhere cooler still being able to pull this off. if its for a nice date id wear this shit whenever. i literally cant stop sniffing myself.

I'm very curious if some of these reviews panning the performance and/or scent profile actually tried the new formula of the EDP instead of the Parfum, because a lot of the critical reviews are along the same lines as the ones for the new EDP. I have owned bottle(s) of almost every single release from this line at one point or another, the exception being the One Sport, but it sounds like I didn't miss much. The EDT was my original signature scent, replaced by the EDP. As I got more serious into collecting, that changed. I am very excited to try this one and I have a 5ml decant sitting at my house waiting for me to get home from work today. I will leave my initial thoughts below and update with a review after a few wears. Update 1: Just put on the first few sprays, so far it's really good! This is what I imagined the original One EDP should have been. Great projection, beautifully balanced, definitely has that classic One DNA. The opening definitely isn't as bright as the originals, although they weren't super bright either. I get the comparisons to Royal Night, it definitely seems closer to that than the others, minus the pear, sandalwood and cardamom. The tobacco is also weak which was completely absent in RN. I will update again in a few days when I have more time with it.

The opening immediately smells amazing! It’s warm and sweet, with a nice light spice. I actually thought it was cinnamon at first, but looking at the notes it's apparently nutmeg. I’m glad it doesn't give off any "Christmas candle" vibes though. The orange is barely there for me, and the black pepper is really soft and not harsh at all, which I prefer. It’s super smooth and reminds me a lot of The One for Men EDP, just warmer and a bit darker. Hopefully the performance is better on this one because the EDP is a huge favorite of mine! At around the 15 minute mark, this scent really opens up. You get an almost vanilla-like sweetness where the amber and tobacco blend together. The tobacco is really smooth and gentle, not harsh, smoky, or bitter at all. The amber feels thick, rich, and syrupy, giving it a heavy, resinous feel. Behind all that thick sweetness, I get a light green, almost floral vibe in the background. Even though there are no florals listed, the clary sage and patchouli work together to create that illusion. It does a great job cutting through the sweetness so the scent doesn't get too heavy or cloying. Overall just an amazing, comforting scent.

I just applied the the original EDP on my left hand and the new Parfum on my right. The opening of the new Parfum reminds me of Grand Soir by MFK. The amber really pops, especially when you compare it to the EDP. The new Parfum is less bright overall. The grapefruit and ginger in the EDP are probably what give it that extra brightness. So far, this doesn’t seem like an amped-up version of the EDP, but rather a newly updated take on the original EDT. On its own, it’s a very nice fragrance. As it goes further into the mid there are traces of the original that push through the amber, including the tobacco. But when comparing it to the original EDP, this new parfum comes across denser and sweeter. For what it’s worth, I sprayed the original EDT, original EDP, the newly updated EDP, and the new Parfum on four test strips and had different women at Macy’s smell each one and pick their favorites. In most cases, the original EDT ranked first, with the Parfum coming in second.

I’ve got to say... I like this more every single day I wear it. This is exactly how a more refined and mature The One should smell. It still has that familiar DNA, but it feels smoother and more grown up. The opening has a slight freshness to it — nothing loud — just enough to lift it before it settles into that warm amber and spice combo. And that’s the part I really enjoy. Once it dries down, the amber and spices just hang around all day in the best way. It’s warm, masculine, and easy to wear. Not overpowering. Not trying too hard. Just confident. What I really like is catching little wafts of it late in the day — even during a workout. There’s something satisfying about still smelling that warm amber on yourself hours later. Performance has been solid for me, and the best part is you don’t need to go heavy. A few sprays is plenty. For me, this feels like The One grew up — cleaner, smoother, more refined. Really enjoying this one.

I just bought this yesterday and wore it all day. First, this IS a more deep and rich version of the iconic fragrance. I feel like this is a mix of the EDP and Royal Night. Now imagine those 2 fragrances mixed minus the sharpness of Royal Night - this one is very smooth and has an added ambery tone, especially in the dry-down, but you get it throughout. I do not get good performance from the EDT or EDP. I did get 8 hours with this fragrance on skin & on clothing I got more than 12 hrs with arms length projection. This fragrance does maintain the primary DNA of The One line - you know throughout the life of the fragrance that this is a flanker of The One. Yes, the price is inflated, but that’s just life these days for a retail priced designer - especially a Parfum. As a life long fan of The One - this IS “the one” I’ve been waiting for.

This one has grown on me. It went from okey to good to love. If you are like me and think that dark, sweet and dense perfumes are too heavy and cloying - you might like this one. Perfumse like Haldan, Ojan and bottled abslolu are way to heavy for me, but this one actually works for me. The tobaco is amped up from the edp and the added labdinum patchouli and nutmeg makes it, darker than the edp, but not too dark. It's a perfect parum version. The only issue I have is the performance. It is very weak, actually it's weaker than my edp. I will let it macerate for a month or two and see if it gets better. But the edp is still my number one.

I tried Dolce & Gabbana The One for Men Parfum in the store and immediately fell in love with the smell. It’s a beautiful, deep, and rich fragrance. Right from the opening you get a fresh spicy . The dry down is where this fragrance really shines tobacco, amber, and woody notes give it a classy, masculine depth. At first I wasn’t sure about the longevity, so I tested it on my wrist. After almost 8 hours it was still noticeable, which really impressed me. That was enough to convince me the next day this beauty was in my collection. For me, it’s an easy 10/10. Rich, elegant, and perfect for cooler evenings.. date night

If you don’t want to buy this for yourself, buy it for your girlfriend, wife or loved one. I will start by saying-- Probably not a safe blind buy for YOU. But definitely a safe blind spray in favor of your girlfriend, wife or loved one. Dolce & Gabbana basically took one of the most sophisticated designer DNAs ever created (The One) and made it darker, deeper and more mature. The spicy orange opening, resinous labdanum heart and warm tobacco base create a fragrance that feels elegant, masculine and incredibly seductive without trying too hard. This version feels less “playboy” and more “grown man with presence”.

This is the best version of The One, no doubt. Certainly has the same DNA, but they took it to a whole new level. Someone said it was linear, but I feel like the notes are just blended so much better. The base notes of amber and slightly sweet tobacco are perfect and they stay with you all day. While I loved the EDP, this new Parfum makes that look almost basic somehow. Also, I have Grand Soir, and while it is ambery, too, it is not similar to The One scent profile. They both stand equally tall in the same zip code but far enough apart with very different views.

This thing is amazing. The note breakdown describes it well. It starts with a little citrusy freshness and spicyness. It's a bit acidic from the orange at the start. Then, the amber starts showing more and more until the dry down. I noticed the tobacco in the mid till the dry down as well. It is not very sweet or offensive but it is strong. Perfect for dates, nights out, or even in the office because it is not very strong. I only sprayed it once on my hand so I cannot judge the longevity yet, but it hanged there for 6 hours easily.

The noise, the rant of some is unbelievable. Relax people, it is a good release. For everyone expecting Amouage concentration and the price of Nautica, this is not that. This is a modern, flanker of The One... why so much negativity?! It's good, not great because great takes time and many wearings... people rush to conclusions and that's not fair to many products and brands. Longevity: 8 hrs on skin, 12+ clothes. Sillage: arm's length 3-4hrs than closer. Will I repurchase? Absolutely yes. 15 sprays, 12 hrs later I could feel it.

Heavenly night time scent, I still don't understand how they couldn't manage to amp up the performance issues with this Parfum version. It produces no sillage whatsoever regardless of number of sprays. I have a D&G K Parfum, that fragrance in my experience fills a room when sprayed, so the case is not that D&G aren't capable of producing projecting and long lasting scents, which is why I don't understand the lackluster performance on this It's a slight improvement over the EDP but truly feels like 10% better

From the bottle, this smells like one of the most attractive men's fragrances ever created. Rich, smooth amber in best way imaginable. Unfortunately, sprayed out the bottle onto skin and clothing, it transforms and goes a bit too powdery. Performance is abysmal. The newer EdP is an airier version of this, which keeps the attractive qualities of scent better. But, it also has abysmal performance. Probably not worth buying, though it is a unique scent profile. If I had to recommend one, it would be the EdP.

This one performs very well for me. The amber is thick, and the black pepper and citrus add just enough masculine edge to this to not make it cloying. I can definitely smell it twelve hours later. I’m a big fan. I like the original EDP, and I see some similarities, but not many. This doesn’t just feel like a denser, longer lasting version of the EDP. It feels almost like an intense, darker take on the DNA. It’s not exactly what I was hoping for, but I think it’s great in its own right. 8.1/10 for me.

Honestly perfect. If you are a fan of the OG EDP this fixes all issues. It keeps the DNA, but at the same time makes it last longer. Sillage is not fantastic, but The One was never about sillage. In terms of scent, the only differences I can find is that it’s very slightly sweeter in the opening, but to anyone around you I don’t think this would be a problem. Not wearable only in very high heat. Also you can go noseblind to it in the mid so be aware of that. My all-time favorite scent profile.

A flanker worth the hype. This is hands down the best version of this fragrance, although the two early iterations were nice as well. This one is just a nicer fragrance overall, especially for someone who’s in adulthood, but not on niche level perfumery yet. It’s a good blend of designer sensibility with a classic refinement. I’m not anti designer, it’s just not my first place to look for fragrances, that being said, when this hits discounters I would strongly recommend it.

Great stuff. probably my favourite designer release of 2026 thus far. I would say on par with the original EDP, but this one actually performs. The EDP, while certainly an amber-dominant scent, I feel the parfum emphasizes it more instead of the Tobacco + Cardamom. But it's a sweeter, amberwoody kinda amber. In the direction of grand soir, but I wouldn't say they are very similar.
