Velvet Cypress

This is really quite lovely, deserving of D&G's more exclusive Velvet Collection. I would call it unisex leaning masculine, but I am enjoying wearing it as a woman. The cypress/cedar/evergreen backs off after a few minutes, leaving something warm, woody, and sensual behind. It's a pleasant, soft, round, and romantic aromatic. I don't smell citrus; maybe a tiny touch of lemon, but it's not "lemony." I honestly discount bergamot as a note entirely anytime I see it listed because 75% of perfumes have it and I actually smell it about 5% of the time. This one is no different. I have definitely smelled this before, but this iteration is well-blended and very pleasant to wear. It's not a big projector, but I am enjoying smelling it in my personal space. 8/10.

Fresh, clean, not too sharp cypress with a zesty lemon opening. I’m a woman and I layer it with a simple orange blossom fragrance for a more feminine touch. Very good longevity - I can still smell it after a long day.

To me it smells very masculine, dry down smells a bit sour. Nothing special, its quite good, but doesn't project at all (might be a problem with my skin chemistry cuz it doesn't like citrus overall). Is it something you would die for, is it signature worthy, is it special - no, no and no. Pass on this one, I got it as a gift, definitely gonna enjoy it, but seems too expensive to buy again.

Love this one Pure enjoyment from initial blast to dry down, where it becomes a woodsy fresh fragrance, true to its cedar base. Longevity is brilliant (a small spray on my hand remained active the whole day), and the sillage is divine! Like a trail of fresh cedar wood. Quickly became on of my absolute favorite of my collection!

An elegant fresh and clean cypress. A nice green scent for a outside event in the woods or forest Simple one. If you want the best cypress try Acqua Di Parma’s or Bottega Veneta Parco Cypress.
