Smoky Mountain

I AM SO GLAD THIS IS FINALLY HERE!!! So there are 2 versions of Smoky Mountain! The EDT & EDP. This bottle pictured is the EDP. The edt we got first months and months ago - it’s a softer more tonka and amber musk scent. Clean. Fresh. Very appealing. I got a good 4-6 hours and lots of compliments. I really don’t think I was going to be a fan and I shocked myself at how much I adored it. Flash forward to HSN having the EDP come out and I got that just recently! The EDP in the same size bottle as her first scent - this AMPS up Smoky Mountains tonka bean amber and black currant comes to play along with musk patchouli and more florals. The EDP is GORGEOUS. The edt can just layer for 10+ longevity and the EDP shines shines shines! Compliments GALORE. This perfume is a star. Everyone asked me “wow what is that?!” And of course when you say DOLLY everyone wants it! Who doesn’t adore her. This is a WINNER. 10/10 and next to Early Morning Breeze - this is the knockout winner!

Ok I see members are saying the notes listed above are incorrect but get lots of pear in this perfume so I don’t know. I had a sample size of this and loved it so much I had to get a bottle (I didn’t even bother to look up the notes). This totally reminds me of Ariana Grande God is a Woman perfume!!! Smoky Mountain is like the grown up version of it lol lots of pear,musk,vanilla,black currant,fir.....wearable year round too!!! Longevity and sillage are both moderate on me.

This is my favorite of Queen Dolly’s perfume collection and I’m fairly certain the scent used in the bathroom soap at Dollywood as this is exactly how it smells. Wish I could buy all body products in this scent like lotion and body wash as I really love the scent and think layering would enhance the performance and longevity. This is a very cozy smell. Definitely will live in my collection for as long as they make it.

This is such a fantastic perfume. I didn’t know what to make of it at first, but I kept finding myself going back for another sniff. There’s no lavender mentioned in the notes but somehow the combination of notes gives a similar vibe -a modern sugary, woody, lightly fruity, iced lavender. It even pairs well when you layer it with lavender body products. It’s awesome for spring and fall.

I've only experienced the body spray, as of right now, so these are my thoughts regarding that. It's a sweet, low key soft floral with hints of the best type of powder. For a body spray this performs well! I don't need the perfume really but I want it to just see what the differences are between these two versions of this scent. What a wonderful find!

I'm in a nostalgia purchase phase. Smokey Mountain is almost generic, but even though grass or hay notes aren't listed, there's something that reads that way to me. It's lovely. It's well-blended, but you can pick up almost everything except the patchouli and tonka. It was a satisfactory blind buy. (And Dolly is a lovely human).

It would make sense the notes above are incorrect, but that leaves me to wonder what I am smelling, because this did smell like black currant to me. Maybe more like the leaf? Definitely musky. Could be some iris, and a little patchouli? I like it very much. Woody and sexy.

I'm confused because according the official Dolly website, theres both an EDT & EDP and they BOTH feature notes of Tiger Orchid, Tonka and Cashmere Woods. These Fragrantica notes are reportedly wrong because they are just the Scent From Above notes. I got the EDT and I think it opens super sweet. Almost gourmand. Like a marshmallow-y bubblegum that reminds me of the opening Armani My Way. Almost TOO sweet, and you think "Oh no, I've made a mistake." It's also a little 'wet' almost aquatic or ozonic for a moment. Like something reminiscent of a 'blue' men's cologne. But it quickly tapers off to a dry, powdery, almost papery white floral. The tiniest bit indolic, like a single jasmine or narcissus flower petal was thrown into the mix. But still sweet and smooth, dare I say, a bit waxy like an aldehyde or a soap. My husband remarked "Wow, it almost smells mature... but at the same time, it smells young!" Then I get a nice tonka and creamy woody dry down that might suggest musk, or even something nutty. It's over all very safe, yet different than anything else I own. It's also somehow unisex. Yes, it is sweet, but I imagine a man could pull this off, particularly if he favors slightly sweet woody fragrances. It's not overtly floral. It's just soft and cozy. But it gives me that same 'tweak' in the back of my nose that reminds me of Ariana Grande REM.

I'm not really a fan of Dolly Parton per se, but I've heard alot of good reviews about her fragrances so I really want to try her perfumes for myself, however her fragrances are hard to find here in Australia. So I had to buy her Smokey Mountain fragrance online from FragranceNet. This was a complete blind buy for me since I had not tested any of her fragrances before I ordered this. I really like the smell of this fragrance, it's a lovely fruity floral fragrance, I love all the notes in this especially the notes of jasmine and peony and mandarin and it smells so nice on my skin. I also love the beautiful look of the bottle especially the butterfly lid. However, as much as I love the smell of this fragrance, it does not last on my skin, sadly it only lasted about 2 hours on my skin, so I'm very disappointed with the poor performance of this fragrance on my skin. This fragrance was also expensive on FragranceNet, I really hoped that this would be a good fragrance for me to wear and keep, but I'm not sure if I would keep it. Like I said I love the smell of this fragrance, but the poor performance on my skin is very disappointing.

I've had this for a couple of years now and the more I wear it, the more I like it. You know how for some fragrances with mint, eucalyptus, or citrus smell cool? Well this one smells warm. But not a warm that you need to wear in the winter - it's fitting that this collection is called the "front porch collection" because this is reminiscent of stepping out onto your front porch in the summer, maybe it's morning or evening and the air is cool and brisk, but the warmth of the sun can still be felt. It feels like that. It's sweet, but not saccharine. The base notes seem to be present throughout the entire wear, and I get around 6 hours of this. It really is a wonderful fragrance, and I cannot think of another perfume that it reminds me of.

This smells like a woodsy Gorgeous Magnolia and I love it! I am astounded how this can smell so differently to everyone. I LOVE this, it smells so beautifully floral with a subtle woodsy note. This smells like if Gorgeous Magnolia was mixed with an expensive woodsy fragrance that would be sprayed on you by someone at Maceys and before you know it, you’re in love and it’s a PDM fragrance. 🫠 I definitely get the citrus notes, especially in the open. That tonka bean and fir though, they might as well be an illusion. The fragrance pyramid is ridiculously full and I feel like half of those notes aren’t even there. What you do get is a beautiful floral magnolia fragrance, with a strong woodsy opening and subtle citrus undertones.

I have the EDT. Musky, white floral, a little spicy and a little woody. Fresh. Slightly sweet. I live in the southwest, mostly surrounded my desert, but i live near the forested mountains. it's still cold but everything is starting to bloom. it's that in between of winter and spring. this smelled so close what it smelled like this morning. it's very pretty. smells like spring blooming in the mountains. the dry down is a little sweet and smells so good on skin. very light so you'd have to spray quite a bit but it's good. something in this is slightly reminiscent of vs bombshell seduction (which is unique for vs.) Unisex.

Frag-heads please answer me this: what is the note/accord that is in this and Ariana Grande’s GIAW that smells like hay??!! Is it the sandalwood? HAY?! Don’t get me wrong - this is lovely. It smells so similar to GIAW, but I get less of that ‘rolling in the hay’ note. A very easy, very pleasant scent. I’ll likely wear this most in the fall... because of the hay smell.

Smoky Mountain - It's a very safe scent for a blind buy. It can smell a little generic as far as celebrity fragrances go. It starts off powdery, fruity and sweet. Sillage is quite weak, but at least you probably won't offend the Karens & Kevins at work. The dry down is powdery and floral.

I got a bottle for $18 on clearance at Walmart, and I'm going to return it. I'm not liking it very much. It's woody, but not in a way I enjoy. One of the comments said it was similar to Libre, when I skimmed the comments while in the store trying to decide to buy it without being able to smell it that comment helped me decide to get it. Well, now that I've spritzed it and word it for two hours I can say there is not much similarity to Libre or it's flankers. I have Libre, and one or two flankers, and this isn't as rich or lasting as those, and really smells nothing like them. To me, this isn't even worth the marked down $18, so it's going back.

I mostly bought the perfume because it’s Dolly and the packaging was cute. I can’t really pick out distinct notes in this one, it’s a very one dimensional sweet, sugary smell to me. It’s the complete opposite of anything I wear, I was hoping to get something with woody notes coming through. Instead it’s like a more bearable version of the Ariana Grande perfumes, sugar sweet but without the “mall” smell. The bottle does look very cute on my vanity though.

It's ok. It is a woody floral. Opens like any other cheap-ish generic blah. Dry down after maybe 30-60 min is nice. I got it for a really cheap price or I might be a little sad. Bottle is cute with the butterfly top (plastic but nice). This was lame. I de-cluttered this one, but hey, Hail Dolly, she's awesome!

The opening is powdery. The dry down gets a little floral with some powder notes. Idk if this is for me. Reminds me of Twilight body spray by PDC.

I tried a few of Dolly's scents mainly because the packaging is cute. This is the only one I dislike. I got the set of edt and body mist and there's no difference in performance between them. I can't pick out any real notes other than something like sour grape or grape scented magic markers. It smells like the bath and body aisle at the dollar store. It also reminds me of one of the Playboy perfumes that came out around 2010 and that's a big ick factor.

I'm reviewing the edt. I think it's really interesting that all of Dolly's scents seem to leave people with vastly different impressions- so much so that I ended up having to blind buy most of them because I had zero idea what to expect. Anyway Smoky Mountain EDT is a syrupy spicy scent with a prominent cola or ginger type accord. It's warm and a bit tangy which makes me think some bergamot could be figuring into the top notes. I'm immediately reminded of scents like Escada's Celebrate N.O.W, Origins Ginger Essence, or Bath & Body Works Forever Red Vanilla Rum. Though it's not a dupe of any of those, it falls in the same category. This scent reads light and fizzy despite it's sweet, syrupy warmth, so I think it would suit Autumn best, though I'm wearing it for the first time in summer and it works in moderate heat as well. There's a slight woodiness to the sweetness that edges it slightly out of gourmand territory, but the fizzy soda pop type notes are such that you can conjure the image easily if you want - you still won't smell like you spilled a drink on yourself. For what it's worth, I don't really feel those things others have detected here: no real florals, fruits, patchouli, lavender, cashmere or tonka, so if those are usually deal breakers for you, don't write this one off necessarily. I've layered Smokey Mountain with vanilla and also citrus and it was delightful layered, but it's very nice on its own and not a dupe of anything I know of.

It's a very pretty scent! Smokey Mountain is a sweet woody watery scent that is very versatile. It can be worn to work, on a date, to lunch and relaxing around the house. Inoffensive. Like a soft vanilla cashmere. If you like perfumes such as BBW Snowflakes & Cashmere, Burberry Brit edt, Versace Vanitas edp, Victoria's Secret Cashmere Woods, then you might like Miss Dolly's Smokey Mountain. I bought the gift set that has a 50 ml edt and 240 ml body mist for $25. The faceted butterfly crystal lid and pale purple liquid is nice too. Love it! 🦋 🦋 🦋 🦋

*Very* woody. Starts off with a dry woody almost orange/mandarin smell. I can tell the main player here is the “Tiger orchid” accord which is a fantasy accord...meaning they can pretty much play around with the notes and it can be pretty much anything. Dry, woody, floral orchid, with a warm vanilla. I smelled this inside a Cavender’s and it is pretty fitting for the whole western wear aesthetic. It’s sassy, sultry, and simple.

I bought the set of 4 body sprays and This one is definitely my favorite, then I bought a gift set of just this fragrance at walmart and I really just love this Scent. perfect for anytime. But I don't know Why lavender is not listed in the notes. This to me is a very sweet deep lavender with more going on hard to describe. Leans a little gourmand to my nose. Very warm just Love.

The notes listed on this page are wrong. Beautiful perfume. Reminds me of a weaker ysl Libre ..it smells more expensive than it is..it's lovely .has a unisex masculine vibe to me

This is a very nice scent that lasts. It's earthy, musky and sweet. I'll report back when I get more acquainted with it.

Sorry this isn't a review, haven't tried it but I feel I need this in my life 😊🙏 the bottle is gorgeous.

Definitely smoky and musky, like a sweet Christmas tree scent.
