Cashmere & Rose Absolu

Gorgeous woody rose brightened up by the raspberry and mandarin. I love it, but I have so many Rose fragrances, it would be redundant in my collection. I may still end up with a bottle in the future.

I loved this immediately! I liked the dry down but wish it held more of the top notes.

I finally got to smell this today at Macy's. They're so sick of me because I'm there like every weekend and I never buy anything. Same with Sephora and Ulta. I know I'm on their last nerve but testers are there to test and that's what I'm going to do. This smells very much like Impadia and Guidance to me. I don't think I'd be able to tell them apart. I don't like Impadia or Guidance so I'm not feeling this one either although it's not as pickle-y as the other two It's also not as potent as Impadia/Guidance but it still has some projection and lasting power. I feel like you don't need to own both because that is how similar they are. This, Impadia and Guidance all smell the exact same to me. The new Coach Gold though?? I need a bottle of that. It's damn good.

Smelled this at Macys today and it kept reminding me of a scent. at first it made me think of oud satin mood the rose note. It was when I got to my car and kept smelling it and realized this is Amouage Guidance 46! It’s a beautiful scent for the price and last forever I sprayed it at the store around 3pm and 5 hours later it still smells on my arm like I just sprayed it! If your looking for the same vibes as Guidance 46 or oud satin mood it’s worth it for the price

It's basically rose with musk. It's on the brighter side though cuz of the fruit. The musk almost smells more on the incense side, but it's not dark. Its expensive for what it is honestly. It's probably cuz its new. This is worth waiting. No need to rush to buy it. I didn't realize that when I bought it, cuz the other ones in the collection are less. Good smell though.

Not like Guidance or Guidance 46 (thank god). It strikes somewhere between Fenty’s perfume and Lancome Idole Power. And yes, there is some resemblance to Impadia. Very pretty rose. The rose lingers for a while and the base has a bit of sweetness and spice. Good scent. I have to retest to see if I need it since I have a lot of rose scents already.

Agreeable. Not earth shattering. And people will buy it. I bought one of their samples online. It's plenty rosy but has just enough amber not to be a straight up boring and/or reeking tea rose. So far it's lasted about 3 hours on my skin, and isn't fading much, so that's agreeable. It's a fairly serious scent, for women over 25; they won't be marketing this stuff to teenagers, but in no way is it a femme fatale scent. If the price point ever goes substantially under full retail, I'll consider buying a full bottle. I've never followed the Donna Karan line, and haven't even smelled any of her scents in stores for at least 20 years. This is the only one I've ever liked. Has the line gotten better? Edit: Here I am nearly 4 months later. Probably right after my review above, my test sample fell on the floor and rolled under a chair, and I just found it this afternoon. New assessment: It's way too sweet for me. I changed my rating down to OK, no way will I buy a bottle. It's not just like every other rose fragrance though, but it's firmly n the so what area.

I was so excited for this. The note read beautifully. However, this is just straight up rose. No other notes come out. I’m disappointed.

Phewww this had me scrubbing my hand with dish soap and a scrub daddy. Made me sick to my stomach and gave me a headache. This type of rose is just not for me - Impadia had the same effect on me. Happy for everyone who loves it 😭

Ok so I finally have this and have been giving it several wears to gage how I feel about it. Today I pulled out a sample of the original Delina for a comparison. DK🌹 is more sweet for sure, and definitely more amber. I prefer it. I've never been a huge fan of the original Delina but I do like Rosee and Exclusif. But I feel like DK🌹is slightly redundant. This isn't a brand new breakthrough rose. Rose is my favorite perfume note so of course I had to get it! I do enjoy this! To me it's traditional rose (think rose oil) heavyyyyyy on the warm amber, and some woody sandalwood..... and some mild farm fresh sweetness from the real raspberries and mandarin. I feel like this would be good year around. If you love amber and rose I think that you'll enjoy it..but I think it's just as much heavy amber as it is rose 🌹!! 💕 Update: this scent is a beast and lasts foreverrrrrr. It's even better than when I first got it. Love to layer it with the other DK Vanilla Essence together! Mmmm!!!

Donna Karan's Cashmere & Rose Absolu is mostly a pleasurably choreographed pas a deux between the notes of sandalwood and rose. Interestingly, even at the start, sandalwood is able to fully hold its own with the rich rose absolu. For the likely many who desire such a becoming pairing as rose et santal, this perfume must be a godsend. This is indeed my own favourite from Karan's Cashmere Collection, ...though I have yet to try Cashmere & Wild Fig. Yes, the word 'Cashmere' in the name implies cashmeran, but as expected, that aroma chemical plays only a subtle supporting role in the background, as do the mild basenotes of musk and amber. The two listed fruit notes are only slightly and ephemerally noticeable.

I’m not a big rose fan, and to my nose this leans pretty heavy on the rose. It’s still a nice fragrance though and reminds me of Guidance in the air. Great projection and longevity.

This is a beauty although it does smell like impadia which I also love. Ahh well, I’m keeping it and I don’t care how redundant 🤷🏽♀️.

This smells like a good quality rose oil. Doesn't feel like a perfume.
