Cashmere & Tiaré Flower

Donna Karan Cashmere & Tiare 2024 was a blind buy on the notes alone plus D.K's longevity in the fragrance world. Having always been a buyer of the more "clean" perfumes/oils, and use regularly, Rose & Lavender essential oil's I still will explore the perfumes sparking my interest per note's and integrity of the Perfumer etc; to find out which ones do not upset my chemistry does require research...in ingredients and overall reputation of maker/company...one must explore and try them out : ) On my skin the soft unlike suntan lotion vibe Tiare (thankfully) present beautifully as described above "solarly"...then the bit of lemon~ish with Bergamot introduce themselves minus "screech" this is pure yummy love with the woodiness thou subtle with Vetiver are so beautiful... Love the trail silage throughout the day as it "becomes with you"... This also blends like magic with Guerlain's "Petite Le Robe Noir" ( Rose & Cherry notes...) The hub's comments can't help but confirm my love as he states, "wow you always smell amazing but what is this one babe?!" Enough said : ~ ) *Bought through Nordstrom and have already purchased a back up bottle.

Out of the four in this line this one is the most decadent and intoxicating. The more tasteful between Cashmere Palo Santo. I am smelling from the foil samples and it doesn't get much better. Ashoka Flower is listed on the foil samples but not on here so I'm not sure what that smells like. This is a divine musky white floral done so photorealistic and sappy. The first two I tried: Wild Fig and Tunisian Neroli were a let down and lost their zest and floral freshness. This one doesn't compare but would layer criminally well with them. I'm not hit with the Bergamot or Lemon so profusely, nor woodiness. Creamy, silky, but not vanilla. Has lasting power for sure. It's a tad too indulgent for daily wear. Seductive like a gourmand young fragrance but you wouldn't assume it from the bottle. If anything, Palo Santo is stepping overboard to that cloying synthetic vanilla muchness. Tiare is pleasantly refined and gives a cheery welcome like Miss Dior. And allows enough room to breathe free of fruits and greenery. For a sultry jazz singer at a coastal resort.

This smells EXPENSIVE. The opening is quite tropical, but absolutely not like sunscreen. I’d worried it would be a bit redundant in my collection, and the opening does remind me a little bit of Gucci Bloom Profumo. But the dry down is different enough. Absolutely a classy, boss lady scent, with a layer of sexy, bare-skinned summer. I feel like I should be on a yacht; alas, only in my imagination! I got is at about 60% off retail, an absolute steal. The bottle is heavy, and the magnetic lid adds to the luxe feeling.

Absolutely lovely tiare dominant solar, beachy, airy, vacation in the bottle. If you're worried about citruses then don't...they are barely noticeable...pretty strong projection and sillage...aromatic and sweet...this will be a staple in my summer wardrobe...Love!

Very fresh scent but with some weight. It starts clean with citrus then comes the heavier flowers with some depth and a bit creaminess, smoothed out with a very light wood. Super feminine, i imagine this is what someone who has her shit together wears for work.

Nice fragrance indeed. If you are looking for a nice airy, beachy, creamy scent this is it in an elevated style. This is beautiful. It definitely reminds me of gingham glow and soliel blanc(teeny bit). It’s definitely full bottle worthy✌️

Creamy, rich and smooth tiare flower, BUT, again, for me Guerlain did it better (and for cheaper) with their Terracotta, just like Aqua Allegoria Nerolia Vetiver is better than Cashmere & Wild Fig. Just my 2 cents.

Beautiful safe scent for spring

What a sophisticated, soft, elevated scent. This feels like I’m walking through a sunlit field of sweetened white flowers, with a hint of tropical brightness and airiness. It’s not a frolic, though, but a confident stride of ultimate femininity. I’m getting a subtle sunscreen-like, coconutty feel, similar to Sol de Janeiro Rio Radiance. I know there’s no coconut note here, but rather that familiar solar-floral illusion that reads warm, creamy, and vacation-ready. The citrus opening adds brightness and freshness without being sharp or zesty, complementing the sweet, slightly creamy nature of the tiaré flower beautifully. The tiaré stays refined and never gets too carried away. The warm, woody base adds depth and balance, keeping the scent from tipping into anything overly sweet or floral-heavy. It’s elegant, put-together, and memorable. This is the kind of fragrance you wear on a getaway when you want to embody the atmosphere of the destination. The type of scent that makes people run to open doors for you, insist on carrying your groceries, and perhaps even tip their hat as you walk by. You get it. It’s soft, so don’t expect a powerhouse. Longevity is about four hours on me, starting with a semi-moderate projection before quickly becoming intimate and settling closer to the skin after the first hour. I didn’t think I was the floral type, but when it’s done like this... maybe I am!

Cashmere&Tiare Flower is a beautiful, soft, slightly sweet tiare flower scent with a bit of citrus in the opening and a smooth, warm cashmeran base. I don’t get vetiver out of this scent, nothing truly green or earthy, it’s mostly a tropical, citrusy and soft, velvety scent. For the price, I wish this would be more intense, richer, denser and longer lasting. Unfortunately it’s a scent on the light spectrum without much sillage or longevity. For me it’s an obvious pass, because I find something like Terracotta by Guerlain way superior in performance and far cheaper. And I have quite a few scents that highlight the note of tiare flower already in my collection, so I wouldn’t recommend spending the high price tag Carolina Hererra charges for a bottle Cashmeran &Tiare Flower! There’s better options and cheaper options!

I wish my skin pulled more of the citrus from this but all I get is the tiare flower and base notes. I will try to find a good citrus to layer this with, because as it goes its lacking something for now. I wanted a good tiare flower perfume since I had Live Colorfully by Kate Spade, and thankfully the Donna Karan doesn't have the gardenia and anise notes in it, I always felt those clashed a bit. The "Cashmere &" line is a really lovely set of scents, I sampled them at Nordstrom recently and I liked them all, honestly. Work safe, yes. Blind buy safe? No. I'd give them a try on your skin first and foremost, and not just sample the paper if you're inclined to buy one, I have a feeling these will react with differences in skin chemistry quite a lot. Holy wow this smells good. I realized I had commented on this in Feb and forgot about it. Just rolled into Nordstrom and it's the ONE. Beautiful. Elegant. Top-shelf feel and like a vacation without the tropical fruits, and nuts if you consider coconut as such. Love this. I'd consider this a safe blind buy... EDIT: safe, safe enough to be a bit boring and I ended up decluttering it. I kept my INtense monoi and these two french bottles of Berdoues Monoi & Tiare EDT, and the Berdoues Monoi & Coco. I like the Monoi and Tiare the best of the two, although they are rather similar.

So she is defnitely not beastmode, but she is pretty. I would probably suggest decating this if you're going to be out and about, but if you do not mind a skin scent- this is perfect. It is great for a work environment and actually thrives in the heat... You will continuously get wafts of this throughout the day. It is totally a spring/ summer scent & does give a beach-like vibe. Also- anyone who is comparing this to soleil blanc or terracotta must not own either one! They are not similar in the slightest.

I received a free foil sample of this fragrance. I don't think the foil samples give the true experience of the fragrance, but I did enjoy this scent. It is a generic solar floral. I smell mostly jasmine with a tropical flare from the tiare flower. It reminds me of a lighter version of YSL Libre Flowers & Flame. Although this smells good, I don't think it's very unique.

Smells like a realistic white petals which then turn warm and creamy after 15 minutes. In the deep drydown, some of the creaminess is replaced by a bit of a dry woody scent. I don't find it as strong, bright, or vanillic as Mugler's Alien Godess.

If you're a fan of the general Alien Goddess DNA (I am!), you'll undoubtedly enjoy this perfume as well. It's a tropical, solar floral that's very pretty for summertime wear, although I prefer the more interesting Alien Goddess Intense.

This heavily reminds me of Givenchy's Amarige.

Super cloying to my nose. The opening of this is sharp, synthetic, and syrupy. It dries down into another generic white floral.

The name Cashmere & Tiaré Flower creates a momentarily unsettling image of a body adorned in both a warm goat-wool sweater and Polynesian gardenias. Surely that must have at least been considered during the marketing meeting. Where would one ever wear both at once - other than here, as this perfume? Unfortunately, the warm woody softness of the cashmeran and very light vetiver, undoes the distinctive island tropicality of the tiaré note. Thereby making this fragrance only a decent, but not particular inspiring, take on the woody white floral genre at its most basic. This is probably serving some customers' needs perfectly, ...but for the rest of us, this just isn't something to get excited about.

Cashmere and Tiare Flower by Donna Karan 4/5 Beautiful opening. This is what I wanted Soilel Neige by Tom Ford to be. It's an island scent without the coconut or sunscreen notes. It's elegant without trying to hard. It would be a perfect office scent because it's feminine, unique, and not offensive at all. Become a skin scent after a minute. Received a foil sample from Donna Karan. Wore at home. Would purchase a decant to see how the performance is a with a proper spray.

Light, sweet, tropical scent. A diluted version of Terracotta, perfect for summer. No coconut, but I wonder if it has a tiny little touch of Vanilla (at least to my nose, because It is not mentioned in the notes pyramid) or if all the sweetness comes from the Tiare. Short longevity on my skin.

Got a sample of this and it's absolutely full- bottle worthy! It's put-together and a little creamy, sexy and perfect for wearing during the daytime in cooler weather. I get straightforward citrus, tiare, woodsy notes. The bottle looks beautiful, too! Soft projection, medium lasting power.

Fairly linear, not groundbreaking, but still a superior white floral fragrance. The tiare flower in this, unlike in many other fragrances, does not come across as cheap, thick, and sticky. It is airy and natural with some subtle green nuances. Citrus is barely there.

This is my second favorite out of the 4 from the collection of 2024! Soooo gorgeous omg! 💞
