Cashmere & Tunisian Neroli

What a fantastic fragrance! I had no idea this even existed until someone posted it in our fragrance group. I’m currently obsessed with neroli and you know how that is, I want to try them all. I’m so glad I tried this one because it is such a wonderful “dressed up” neroli but still has that nice, crisp neroli sharpness that I crave but it feels a little more formal in a way than the average neroli cologne style fragrances that tend to feel more casual to me. It is neroli/bergamot centered and has an almost champagne quality about it plus some woodiness in the base so it’s a combination of light freshness with a slightly smoky woodiness. I don’t get *any* cigarette smell at all, I can’t stand the smell of cigarettes, so please don’t let that scare you away. We all smell things differently though but I don’t get anything like that at all. It’s also extremely long lasting on me and has quite prominent sillage and unlike half the perfumes on the market today I do not go anosmic to it. I think the people who think this doesn’t last long are probably going noseblind. This perfume is bordering on monstrous in a way but without being obnoxious or having that scratchy feel that some of the stronger neroli perfumes seem to get. I think it leans feminine but it could totally be worn by men also. It’s just not as unisex as the 4711 type neroli scents and has a little touch of glamorousness that gives it a more femme feel. Absolutely terrific fragrance if you love neroli...or fresh or sparkling fragrances...but with a bit of woodsiness and glamour.

Blind buy because I ADORED Cashmere and Vanilla Essence, and Cashmere and Palo Santo! My mind is not made up yet about the Fig version. This Tunisian Neroli is really nice but not an immediate love like the other two. I am reminded of Neroli Portofino and of 4711- but this one has a woody undertone and it makes me think of a really nice hotel lobby or a luxurious soap. I wore it today in the miserable 90° Indiana heat, and it was absolutely gorgeous, radiating a fresh citrusy aura for me! Very glad to have my $70 secondhand bottle, I am going to have to get the Tiare one so my collection will be complete!

It smells like green tea and incense on me. No citrus or floral notes. The smell reminds me of the Buddhist temples in Taiwan I visited decades ago. Calm, peaceful, serene. It's lovely.

This reads as a citrusy slightly sweet white floral. I am surprised so many other reviews mention smoky notes. That may be how the woody note is coming across to some, but not me. It took about an hour after wearing on skin for me to notice any scent bubble, so I think it may need to warm up a skin. Pretty casual everyday or office-wear fragrance in the hot weather months.

The opening smells like cigarettes. Thankfully, it doesn’t last long. This fragrance is gorgeous. It dries down to a very light, fresh, slightly soapy, green fragrance. Smells like the kind of fragrance you can only get while vacationing. It’s unique but still isn’t offensive. Definitely my favorite of the cashmere collection, I might buy a full bottle.

Definitely opens with a blast of bitter citrus, and interestingly I get a small dose of unlit incense and tea leaves. It quickly settles down on skin to reveal big white floral middle notes of a very green jasmine and neroli flower, with hints of honey. The floral is clean and light, Mediterranean inspired. I love how it evolves on skin.

This lasted about 2 hours on skin, 5 hours on clothes. The bergamot is pretty strong. It makes the neroli sharper and I guess fresh. But it's not the typical fresh. It's strong because of the cashmere wood. But don't expect a lot out of this of you blind by.

I smelled this collection today I and loved 2 of them and went back and forth and this one was the winner so I had to take it home

Smells very much like a pool day in the beginning of Summer. Very fresh. A pretty floral base.

This is not a sweet, uber white floral Neroli frag. This has a dense smoke, incense and soap admixture. Neroli is lovely and fresh but smells menthol-y and herbaceous beside bergamot and cedar. Astringent. I too am smelling from foil samples and am puzzled by this one. Yuzu is not listed here but it is on the card. I can see why everyone is saying cigarettes, but more like cigars, imo. I'm gonna go out on a limb and deem this a cologne because of the cedar. It has more projection than Wild Fig but that is much more pleasant and feminine with less projection. Mineral smelling but not floral. For a very mature individual.

Smells of a a more natural feeling neroli. It is mostly fresh white florals, still with a green edge. Brightened by citrus pith. For a while, I got a clean, white musk that easily could have gone overwhelming but died down. I’m not a fan of neroli, so this is obviously not one for me. In terms of neroli fragrances, this is not groundbreaking.

I received this as a free foil sample from Donna Karan. In complete fairness, I don't think foil samples really allow you to appreciate the entire fragrance. All I get is a light neroli blossom scent. It reads a bit like honeysuckle flowers to me. It smells okay, but this sample does not make me want to purchase a larger size.

Wow, I got a strong nail varnish smell upon first spritz, but that quickly dissipates. What remains is something cute at most, but honestly, for the price point I'd rather get Guerlain's Aqua Allegoria Nerolia Vetiver, which imo is way better, too.

I don’t want to offend anyone, but this smells like old cigarettes to me. Pass.

If Cashmere & Tunisian Neroli was literally only composed of the white floral greenery of neroli and cashmeran's deconstructed wood, it might very well, still be an intriguingly nuanced aromatic-floral wood fragrance, ...but more fortunately, the two titular notes don't have to bear that responsibility alone. The two other listed notes of bergamot and cedar both contribute positively to this fragrance, by adding complexity to its aromatics and florality, while also deepening and enlivening the woody base. The result is a light woody aromatic of unusual aspect. Its understated intrigue is surely well-appreciated by a self-chosen subset of Donna Karan's target demographic.

Cashmere and Tunisian Neroli by Donna Karan 2/5 Opening smells like cigarettes to me but fades within a minute to a faint skin scent. Not getting much from this scent at all. Barely smell it after five minutes. I usually like neroli and bergamot type perfumes, but this is a miss for me. Received a foil sample from Donna Karan. Wore at home. Not a purchase for me.

Smells Smokey? Not sure why maybe it’s the green notes that amplify it. Thankfully I didn’t get a headache when smelling this perfume, but not my cup of tea!

Very green, Neroli heavy. Somewhat lasting on the skin. Not crazy long. It’s not groundbreaking but i like it.

It smells like the drydown of Tom Ford Neroli Portofino.
