Cashmere & Wild Fig

Donna Karan Cashmere & Wild Fig- I had my eye on this beauty since its launch in 2024. The bottle aesthetics are lovely, curvy and fit fabulously in your hand. The voluptuous glass artistry and gold magnetic cap complements each other exquisitely. The EDP color, Fig perfection! The opening of this dreamy fragrance slips past you with hardly a notice. If you catch its hasty passing you’ll notice that’s Its mostly soft freesia, bergamot & black pepper popping in to greet you. I detected no rose at all. A soft cashmere fragrance begins to envelop you in delectable wild fig, warm bamboo scent mingling soft with fragrant musky notes and soft cedar. The base has a wee bit of an earthy/natural note to it but not dirty. Cedar and musk mingle and pepper appears ever so faintly in and out as the dry down continues. Such a beautiful parfum. Cashmere & Wild fig becomes mostly a personal skin scent after its full bloom subsides but still provides noticeable sensuous wafts of its beauty as you move through out the day. I suggest overspraying if you don’t want it to be a skin scent. I plan to make this my signature scent. I love her! I’ve not had a signature scent since the early 2000’s decade, I’m back in the fragrance groove, buying and truly enjoying newer fragrances. While I enjoy over 50 bottles of select fragrances, Cashmere & Wild Fig is my most treasured scent today.

This fragrance came as part of a set, and honestly, I didn't think it would be for me. But sometimes the best surprises come from the scents we least expect to love. What started as mild curiosity has blossomed into genuine obsession - I find myself reaching for this bottle more often than my beloved cashmere and palo santo. As someone who typically gravitates toward sweet gourmand scents, I was caught off guard by how much the tart mineral and earthy dirt notes spoke to me. There's something almost therapeutic about wearing this - it transports you to that perfect moment when you've been working in the garden, soil still clinging to your hands, and the air is perfumed with the green sweetness of ripening figs. The composition strikes such a beautiful balance between the raw earthiness of freshly turned soil and the luscious, almost honeyed quality of fig. It's not pretty in a conventional sense, but it's real and grounding in a way that feels both sophisticated and wonderfully unpretentious. Sometimes a fragrance teaches you something new about your own preferences. This one reminded me that there's beauty in scents that capture authentic moments rather than just smelling conventionally beautiful.

I’ve been blind buying a lot of samples lately to broaden my fragrance collection. I received the Donna Karan paper sample (all 4 of her cashmere scents) and absolutely felt in love with Cashmere & Wild Fig which was shocking because every sample I received was a wash before now. I’ve been hunting for new cozy winter fragrance and I love fresh, floral, woody scents (easy to find for spring and summer but wanted cozy for cooler months!). It needed to be outdoorsy but elevated and feminine. Finding such without sweet, gourmand, or vanilla notes can be challenging. Additionally, most “winter” scents without amber/gourmand/sweet notes tend to be straightforward and flat, lacking full body and depth. This fragrance embodies a cold cozy scent without any hints of sweetness, maintaining that fresh nature based scent which is just divine. It immediately reminds me of a cabin in the woods while keeping very elegant &feminine. My original sample lasted over 12 hours on my skin and I knew I needed to order the full bottle right away! This will be my signature scent for the remainder of the cooler months this year.

OK, purchased a decant of this, and it is a creamier/figgy version of D&G Light Blue. So fresh and modern but so ferkin light in terms of sillage and longevity at $150 for the big bottle. In search of dupes for now. === I was just in a department store and saw they had this new line, not a brand I normally pay attention to, until I saw one of them was a fig scent. I made sure to cover my shirt in it, so it could hang in my closet and figify the air, lol. I cannot stop sniffing this. Not a strong fragrance; we shall see if it lasts. A fresh woody floral indeed, with a green note at the top for me. I was never a fan of Cashmere Mist or things with cashmere notes, but I may go back to the store for another dowsing, lol. Is everyone making a fig scent now, or did I just get clued in to this?

This is so beautiful, clean and soft - it's elegant and has a unisex, maybe slightly feminine-leaning quality. It's very mineralic and the fig pulls through smooth and ripe as the fragrance progresses. It's somewhat earthy, but not too much. It's really, really clean and natural. The performance is great, I get moderate projection that lasts me throughout the working day without being either too little or too much. In a way, it reminds me of Glossier You Fleur. I'd love to get a full bottle of this!

Velvety soft musky fragrance slightly powdery with just a hint of sweetness and spiciness. Dries down to a beautiful cashmere musky sophisticated scent. I tried this fragrance at department store and was smelling it on my wrist all day, smells so alluring. By the next day I purchased full bottle. If you spray just once or twice and someone just gets a slight hint of this fragrance off of you they are going to love it. If you over spray this perfume you are going to end up people hating you :3

I wanted to find a new perfume that I really loved. I went around the store and smelled what felt like a thousand perfumes, and I disliked most of them. When I was about to leave I saw this perfume and I fell in love with it instantly! It has such a good fig note that I'm obsessed with and it felt almost creamy and soft but still green and fresh on my skin. I ordered it immediately when I got home.

This is a really green fresh and uplifting fig fragrance and I absolutely love it. It's got this fresh after the rain vibe that is pure, spiced so perfectly and just great, really must try in my opinion if you like the clean fresh airy smells. It projects well off me for a few hours where its more mild for a few more before its mostly gone or just a skin scent. Goes a bit farther on fabric.

I love a fig note that smells like coconut & that’s what I get in Cashmere & Wild Fig . This smells exactly like floral street Arizona Bloom minus the initial blast of alcohol & more potent. I love it but I already own Arizona Bloom. This will be on my wishlist until I empty my bottle of AB. I also get the another 13 comparison being that Arizona bloom smells like another 13 with coconut.

a fluffy, smooth fig with a mineral kick to it and a clean musky base. very soothing and expensive smelling, its a scent somewhere between opening something brand new and giving someone rich wearing a clean sweater a hug. i know this is made for women but i find this leans unisex! it’s comforting, gentle, sophisticated, a compliment getter, and universally lovely.

This smells like walking through a high-end department store. It is a woody mineral-y slightly creamy fig without being too green. This is a perfectly balanced fig perfume, its not too floral, nor too sweet. It is fresh while still having some warm to it. A perfect everyday wear! Smells expensive.

Smells heavily of coconut. It’s an easy reach, best suited for the spring or summer months. Smells like a hair care product. Not shampoo or anything soapy but more of a hair butter/cream smell.

It's a nice green fig scent. Like someone below me said, it's a figgy version of D&G Light Blue. Cute, but way overpriced.

This is really interesting one. First, the bottle is gorgeous with magnetic cap. Opening is poweful bright fresh floral, peppery effect fades very quick, when fig and fresh bamboo kicks in it becomes more green but musky notes also coming along which gives a creamy twist, the florals are also highly detectable especially freesia, i dont detect any rose. On drydown its more creamy floral. I also dont detect any earthy notes, it is more airly and bright. I really like the scent but it sits very close to skin, i think the sillage is very low, its a clean airy creamy floral skinscent. The staying power is ok though, 6 hours and its still there. Its very pretty but i was expecting more woody notes. I dont need any other fresh floral scent. I wouldnt mind wearing it if its a gift but i dont think i will be paying a full bottle. Very uplifting and safe. Dont trigger any headache or became cloying. Not groundbreaking but very nice.

I received a sizable sample of Donna Karan "Cashmere Wild Fig" with an expensive full-bottle purchase of Creed "Queen of Silk." While "freshies" are not my usual jam, I of course appreciate the sample...tried the fragrance. Cashmere Wild Fig is a nice surprise, particularly for a designer-brand fragrance. Not quite "niche," CWF is a bright, airy, fresh, fruity, fig-forward fragrance. Citrusy and spicy in the opening, CWF develops into a lovely, floral perfume with definite fig. I'm usually not a fan with fig-forward fragrances. But the fig in CWF is almost ripe with a bit of bite from its green-ness. And the additional bamboo notes add green notes that somehow work. There's rose, there's some freesia. But CWF wears as a woody, slightly floral, well balanced, green fig fragrance. I would think most lovers of fig fragrances will love this!!

My local base exchange had this and because I loved the bottle, I went ahead and sprayed this on my arm (I’m also a big fig fan). The first hour or so I got an intense blast green fig leaf and citrus but man on man, the dry down is pretty good. I, unfortunately, am one of the few that Le Labo’s Another 13 smells like Saran Wrap on, but this smells almost suede-like. I don’t get any coconut but wish I did. Overall, this is a smooth fig for someone who wants something more musky and grounded than bright and green.

Initially, this fragrance smells of green fig and peppery citrus. It leans masculine, smelling of men’s deodorant or body wash. There’s a tangy and lightly floral thing going on in the background that feels like it is trying to convey ocean water. Over time, the green fig turns more creamy fig and the scent becomes more unisex. Deep in the drydown, it unexpectedly goes juicier with more projection? I started enjoying it at this point. I still think I’d prefer it in a body wash.

It's okay. Wonderfully blended and delicately powdered. I'm getting a Miss Dior vibe a little. You can't avoid the pleasantness of Freesia and Rose with the kick of fig and musky aromatic bergamot. A dash of pepper to silken like cashmere. But these florals hardly last on skin, no projection whatsoever. The base is cedar and green you'd think it was more citrus. I get the nuance of bamboo and after a while I smell geranium. Some powdered tang, no heady woods. A juice cleanse.

I fell in love when I smelled it in the store and bought it. Now I’m getting predominantly musk and cedar on my wrist. I’m searching for the fig and pepper notes. I hope it will marinate a little on the shelf, otherwise it will be going back. :(

This is more unisex than I expected. It starts very fig forward and becomes a soft, green, musky fragrance that still retains a hint of sweet fig. This perfume feels like eating fresh figs while wearing freshly laundered cotton pajamas.

Green, bright and fairly unisex. Reminds me of a softer Estée Lauder Oasis Dawn. I like it a lot!

It's a nice scent. Too bad it didn't last as long as i expected.

I just don't think I have to right nose for this fragrance - to me, it's so mineralic I can't really find the other notes other people are talking about. I pick up its 'character' in that it feels fresh and sophisticated, which probably makes this very inoffensive, but I don't particularly want to walk around smelling like a wet stone. In my opinion, absolutely middle of the road unisex - anybody could wear this and smell clean and professional. Definitely a good frag, just not for me!

This is ok. I don't love it. This has a lovely sharp floral opening. I LOVE bergamot in my fragrances.. But, there is this slight "sour cheese" note right behind it. Luckily that doesn't last too long. I then get the green, tonic bamboo note. It's bright and really fresh, and works well with the top note florals. When it settles on my skin, the dry down is woodsy, and musky, and pleasant. If I could just remove that bit in the opening....

This was migraine inducing. Bought a sample thinking I would love it and splurge for a big bottle, but it has that sickening chemical smell that just doesn't mesh well into my skin. I think I'm done with fig smells. Want to love them but my skin chemistry doesn't mesh. It's still a lovely scent on paper !

Earthy and fresh. Light and pleasant. I wouldn’t pay the price for it again though.

I had high hopes for this one. I really liked it on paper - a creamy fig. But on skin, the creaminess was not there. It was just fig. I'm not enough of a fig fan for that. This one is a pass for me. It's number 3 of 4 from the discovery set for me.

Sampled 2 from the Cashmere Collection, Cashmere & Tunisian Neroli and Cashmere & Wild Fig. Loved Neroli, hated Wild Fig. The Wild Fig has THAT CHEMICAL in it. The one I can't detect on cloth, that turns horrible on my skin and won't come off no matter how many times I scrub it, unless I take the Downthread Hand Sanitizer to it (which basically just covers it but that will do.)

Longevity is poor. Do not last at all. I will never purchase this again. It’s very very LIGHT!! Lovely smell I hate you don’t smell after a few hours

When I first sampled this line in the store, I was captivated by Cashmere & Palo Santo and intrigued by Cashmere & Tiare. Cashmere & Wild Fig smelled clean but weak compared to the others. Then Cashmere & Vanille came along and it was one of the best new perfumes I had smelled in a long time. I got the best deal on the discovery set Black Friday 2025. All this to say that I am wearing Cashmere & Wild Fig just 10 days from Christmas in sub-zero temps and it's beautiful. All four remaining perfumes from this line are gorgeous among current releases. What to say about Cashmere & Wild Fig? In all honesty, I'm not sure I know what fig smells like. It's not a note I have learned during my perfume journey. I smell something that I also smell in Versace Versense, and I think that's fig. Cashmere & Wild Fig goes on with that fig note and something I generally perceive as a little citrusy. It has a floral feel overall. It's a colder perfume. It feels clean without verging on astringent or laundry product musk. Like all perfumes from this line, it simply comes across as higher quality than so much of what's popular today. You could wear this to church, to work, to the country club. Wear it anywhere it's appropriate to be both fresh and polished. This perfume definitely lends itself to light-colored clothing. As I write this review about 8 hours after application, I smell that citrusy or salty note on my clothes. It's not masculine, just fresh. I can't wait to wear this in warmer weather, if my travel spray lasts until then!

A very pretty, pleasant scent. This leans floral-forward on my skin, with a soft, slightly fruity undertone as it dries down. The opening feels crisp and spicy, with a fresh, slightly bitter edge that reflects the black pepper, citrus, and floral blend. The fig here isn’t sugary to me. It’s green and clean, with just enough sweetness to keep it balanced. As it settles, the fragrance softens and becomes calming and personal. This sits very close to the skin, making it especially well-suited for quiet, intimate settings. Though it’s on the softer side, the mix of green fig, black pepper, and florals adds dimension, keeping it intriguing and preventing it from feeling one-note. While it isn’t my top pick from the Cashmere collection, it’s still very pretty, and I appreciate it for what it is: a comforting scent with personality that works beautifully when you want something subtle, with just a hint of spark.

Bergamot and fig, you can smell the fig leaf sap. It is sharp, and interesting in the first minutes, peppery and sweet, but it changes and gets a lot more green and spicy, with something similar to cloves! I don't know about the metallic notes but the drydown has a strong Cedar note, and the spiciness of something similar to cloves or even nutmeg. I don't think this is a blind buy safe scent. I am happy with my sample but I won't purchase a full bottle.

I bought this Wild Fig one, the Tunisian Neroli one and the Palo Santo one and this is the only one I haven’t decluttered. I really like the fresh, salty mineraly musky dry down after the initial fig and I’m looking forward to using it a lot in the summer. The longevity is also really good as well. Smells almost beachy in a really clean fresh way.

I don’t like coconut notes in philosykos and found it cloying, so this is such a gem for those looking for a good feminine fig without the creamy lactonic coconut. The dry down also reminds me of ulrich lang’s nandan road but with fig because of their strong cedar base. So imagine if Philosykos had a baby with Nandan.

Cashmere and Wild Fig by Donna Karan 3/5 Very fig opening, similar to Philosykos by Diptyque. Then the coconut starts to shine through. Became a skin scent after a minute, but could be the foil packet. Received a foil sample from Donna Karan. Wore at home. Would not purchase.

All i have to say is oh my god... this is the most amazing smelling perfume EVER!!! it’s musky, has the perfect amount of sweetness, mossy, & slightly floral. Very sexy and rich smelling.

Predominantly juicy, fruity fig, but I also detect the pepper. Not overwhelming, it provides a nice balance. Dries down a bit musky. On my skin this is hardly green or woody.

On me, this is white flowers, citrus, and wood. I can't pick up the fig in it, which is a bummer. Still on the hunt for my perfect fig fragrance!

This smells identical to DS&Durga's Debaser, so if you want an affordable version of that, this is her.

I do like this one. Unisex. Very fig forward. Not overly sweet.
