DKNY Be Delicious Coconuts About Summer

After seeing @emilixxy’s review about this smelling almost exactly like Love, Beauty, and Planet’s Coconut Mimosa Hair care (which I use religiously and is my favorite scent from their line) ... I HAD TO BUY IT! I just got it today and OH MY LORDDD!! It smells almost exactly like it, but in a perfume bottle with more florals and a bit muskier. 😭 I’m so excited to use this on my hair wash days so I can smell like this from head to toe. I have never owned any other DKNY fragrances but after this flanker, I’ve been eyeing other ones that may be up my alley! This is fresh and relaxing, but the opening is my absolute FAVORITE with the beautiful sweet coconut coming out and the sparkling magnolia which then dries down into magnolia and musk, and the sweet coconut turns into the coconut flesh and skin! 🥥 Nowadays it’s so hard to find a nice creamy coconut that does not smell like sun tan lotion and this is JUST that. This is giving more like sweet cocoa butter on the dry down. If this sounds like your cup of tea, id purchase this! 💅🏼 This is so delicious and fresh and will definitely be looking to order a backup because this was limited addition. Perfect for summer, hair wash day, and everyday!! Its giving clean gyal aesthetic. 🫧

I’ve been itching to leave a review for this scent. Easily the best eau de toilette I’ve experienced in a very long time. I don’t usually blind buy but I saw this at my local TJ maxx for like $20. I love the classic “Be Delicious” and after looking up the notes on here, I knew I had to risk it. I’ve been wearing it every day since. It starts off with a minty, cucumber fresh note that I surprisingly don’t see listed in the notes. It’s not unpleasant but not what I expected or wanted so it almost left me disappointed, BUT it very quickly progresses and turns into a beautiful, light and creamy coconut scent that’s absolutely worth it. This is definitely a coconut heavy perfume, but not in an awfully warm or gourmand way. Think tropical seaside, not an overly sweet dessert. For an eau de toilette, the performance is quite impressive. I can smell it on me several hours in, sometimes even at the very end of the day. A great every-day, wear it on a whim kind of perfume. Oof it’s dangerous when a blind buy is successful... makes me want to risk it again.

This fragrance has undoubtedly become my absolute favorite at the moment. It lingers close to the skin without projecting much when applied sparingly. However on the few occasions when I've basically drenched myself in it, I received compliments from classmates across the room. The scent exudes a refreshing quality, as several others have also acknowledged—a vibrant, green coconut note takes precedence, steering clear of the heavier, creamy coconut aroma. It also seems to have floral notes, which I usually steer clear of as they - to me - give off an old lady smell. However, this fragrance boasts a delicate floral undertone that remains in the background, almost unnoticeable. This makes the fragrance feel very youthful. Alongside the freshness, there's also a peppery note that adds an edge. Undoubtedly, this fragrance has a cleanliness to it without a soapy smell. I can certainly agree that it's perfect for the summer season, as it's like a vacation or a luxurious spa in a bottle. For me personally though, it's a wonderful everyday fragrance.

This is such a pretty fragrance but not in a pink, bubble-gummy, dressy, lipstick way. More a free spirited, glowing, natural vibe. There are other notes omitted here like jasmine sambac and benzoin. A raw coconut that has a little of the top sliced off with coconut water and flesh inside. The coconut water is infused with torn jasmine and magnolia petals, generous sprinkles of sugar for sweetness (apple?) and drops of synthetic musks then given a couple of stirs to make this concoction that a beach goddess perfumes herself with. I also get thinly sliced, dewy pears that’s a little honeyed. I imagine this to be a the scent of a beach goddess from a tropical island who loves to sunbathe on the sand but instantly hides when she spots humans. The scent trail she leaves behind has them bamboozled because of how great the air smells. Warm, moderately sweet, watery but not milky and very illuminating.

I blind bought this, and with the lukewarm reviews, I didn't have high expectations. Sprayed it on my hand before going grocery shopping, and up close it had the same green apple DNA of Be Delicious with the tiniest touch of coconut. Walking to the store, however, I kept getting wafts of delicious coconut. No apple, just stunning, beautiful, airy coconut. This is not a creamy coconut - it's light and fresh and enhanced beautifully by the subtle floral notes - and eventually the musk. I'm apprehensive about musk, but here it's just so, so pleasant. This is the perfect summer scent - so happy that I got it. Sillage is pretty amazing for an eau de toilette in the beginning, but it's not long lasting. It'll give you 2-3 hours of bliss, and then you probably need to reapply.

Actually quite enjoy this, so much so that I'm on my second bottle, which rarely happens with any blindly bought fragrance. It's a specific kind of fragrance, perfect for really warm summer days when you just want to smell like a fresh, coconutty breeze, but I wouldn't wear it in colder weather, as it's just not the vibe for this fragrance. It smells really similar to the Skin & Vanilla body spray from Clean, which I also happened to love. Airy coconut with a skin-like and soft feeling thanks to the musk. Great performance as well. 4.5/5

I had to write this review, this is my first dkny delicious flanker and I am loving it. Smells like light fresh coconut and a hint of citrus, the dry down is musky and a wave of magnolia. It has surprising staying power for an edt. It’s a perfect summer scent, not too heavy as some coconut scents can be. I am a fan of terracotta by guerlain which is more coconut cream and this is more coconut fresh. It’s uplifting and wonderful. You won’t be disappointed, it’s also at a reasonable price point.

I'm never not in the mood for this perfume. It has an aquatic, refreshing coconut water scent that feels incredibly clean. It's my go to after the gym or when I'm running errands but still want to smell fresh. I wish the projection & longevity was stronger, but I still can't help reaching for it. I just find myself reapplying every four to five hours or so, especially during the summer. There's something about it that's just so effortless, refreshing.

I wanted a perfume that smells like sun screen and summer and this is exactly that. Smells fresh and clean. My only issue was I didn’t think it lasted that long, but i think this was just me getting used to the smell as i’ve had a few people tell me how good i smell about five hours after spraying! Also so well priced and affordable in terms of perfumes. This is has been my go to daily perfume since I got it :)

Top 8 dumb reach. Summer never ends in Florida so I’m still fucking with coconuts. Very impressive longevity and silage for a TJ Maxx red sticker buy. It’s a beautifully blended coconut. The magnolia is more of a solar note here than floral. Not too juvenile. A few sprays on clothes is a heavenly, creamy, summery musk.

This is such a beautiful coconut fragrance. It smells just like summer at the beach. It’s quite refreshing compared to other summer coconut fragrances and it’s not too sweet or cloying at all! This is one of the best fragrances DKNY have released in years and I hope they keep it in their permanent collection!

I love this perfume, had it in 2021 when it was first released and thought it was a limited product. So happy I found it again in a Duty Free store. It is a perfect summer fragrance if you are a coconut lover. Smells like a creamy coconut while on holiday with your friends.

Coconut conditioner. Smells similar to Coconut fizz, this seems to be a touch sweeter and not as fresh/ cucumber-y. Sadly I missed out on when Coconut fizz was available for a reasonable price so this will work for me :) found at TJ Maxx. I love cheap thrills!

Now this is a fresh one! I love the topnote, it's so vivacious and makes me feel happy. And def a coconut scent,.very enjoyable, lasting power is average. Every day, office safe scent. Let the spring come in!

Finally hot enough to enjoy this one again. It's so different from my other coconut fragrances. It's like sweet coconut water with chunks of the meat. Refreshing and not too thick for the heat.

Fabulous, if you like to smell of summer on the beach then this is for you, it’s the closest fragrance I have found that smells like my favourite smell of summer, hawian tropic😁 gorgeous!

I am getting zero coconut. I smell a VERY fresh, clean scent reminiscent of lime on cucumbers, green apples, and also a margarita complete with salt on the rim or a mojito without the mint, quite aquatic. Also Windex but it's not actually Windex, it's a matter of the freshness and lime sharpness creating a cleaner-like vibe but it's better than actual Windex. Maybe? I had to check and make sure I was sent the correct scent and not the Lime Mojito version. No, it's the correct bottle. I'm sad! I was looking forward to a fresh coconut, a coconut shampoo conditioner kind of scent. I'm hoping as it dries down, the coconut will show up. Or maybe once my bottle breathes a little, it will be there. I'll update if that becomes the case. If I had been in the market for a fresh margarita kind of vibe, I'd be so pleased, but I'm currently coconut obsessed, so my disappointment is massive. It's an okay fragrance. I like shampoo-ey fragrances - I adore Golden Delicious! - so I don't hate it, but unless that coconut shows up, I don't know that I will ever wear this. It's too fresh with not enough charm; maybe in summer it will be more appealing. EDIT: I see my mistake. I blind bought this off the Fragrantica notes, which was silly. I usually do more research than that. Here are the complete notes. I am not a basil fan, I find it off-putting and sharp. So that explains that. I will say that finally in the drydown there is a mild green coconut water and that's quite nice but it's a skin scent now. I don't know that the opening to mid is worth enduring just for faint coconut water. Edit 2: I take it all back. It's a verrrry nice, fresh and yummy coconut drink, refreshing, unique. If the entire scent was the drydown with projection, I'd be thrilled. The more I wear it, the more I like it. It reminds me of the style of the Aqua Allegoria line. ♥️ Sillage is weak, but it does stay, I sprayed my wrist in the afternoon and it was still faintly there the next morning. It has arrived, and I am a bit surprised. First of all I love the bottle it screams take me along to your summer destination, the wooden lid and greenish/turquoise juice inside is simplistic and luxurious at the same time. The juice inside took me a bit by surprise, this is a very fresh scent, it has slight bitter lemony beginning.There is a slight coconut sweetness, but I don’t find it as strong the reviews led me to believe . I would never describe this as creamy, far from it, I would say slightly aquatic and musky. Now my only concern with this scent, is wether the coconut will wear off, and you are only left with the musk? Personally I suspect think this needs really hot weather to show off its beauty. But my first impression is that this is perfect for those really hot days, were you feel the need to smell fresh and clean, added with a touch of coconut.

Got this today. Aquatic and cucumber-like opening, slightly floral coconut. Has a bit of waxy scent to it, opening is a bit salty but salt clears quickly. Quite light, pleasant! It reminds me A LOT of SDJ Rio Radiance, but this lasts longer, Rio Radiance disappears from me in an hour max. I'm not sure if this was reformulated or something, but I don't find the coconut in this creamy or buttery at all. I'll wear this in the summer for sure. I only wish I got bigger bottle because this one will be gone soon, needs to be reapplied in about 3 hours.

I'm hardly a fan of the Delicious line, yet blind bought this one. I was happy to find out it has nothing to do with its siblings. No overly sweet, pretending-to-be-fresh, juvenile juice. CAS is just a nice, light, coconut scent. The first few seconds are scary and remind bitter rubbing alcohol. Then the coconut comes out. It's light, it's creamy, it's pleasant and close to the skin. I can smell some faint florals in the background but this is mostly the coconut's show. Very nice beachy scent and a big like for me.

It's okay.... pleasant coconut scent. But I have to say, it smells cheap to me..and incomplete, like something should be in there, but isn't. It disappears off my skin pretty quickly but lasts longer on clothes. Smells like a BBW body mist. But the one good thing is, it's not gooey sweet. It's a bit on the fresher side. The bottle is very cute, with a wooden type cap. The bottom line for me is, it's not anything I would ever buy again. But, I don't mind it and will finish it off and move on. 5/10 overall.

i used to collect DKNY apples. i stopped long time ago as they kept bringing out weak uninspiring shit but this sounds promising - coconut is a fashionable note now and as far as i can remeber the first time ever in a DKNY apple - it was about time!🌴 the bottle is original after a long time something new with the wooden design so all in all this apple sound primising. maybe i will expand my apples collection again. 🍎🍏 hoepfully the coconutty note is not gonna be too strong and cheap smelling 👌

wow! so many compliments from all - this is an universal well perceived fragrance. A young man (approximately age 5 or 6) in the elevator - told his mom that I smell like summer. I'm assuming his mom lavishes him in a coconut scented suntan lotion at the beach. But I agree, this definitely smells like summer. Easy to wear & smells good ~ Lasts a moderate amount of time on me - longer on my clothes.

Imagine fresh, sweet, concentrated coconut milk, infused with summery, zesty florals. That is Coconuts About Summer. There is something so juicy about this fragrance and I can't help but think of real coconuts. I find it well-blended, impressively lasting (especially for an EdT) and quite good value for its price. Coconut lovers, you must try this one!

I love coconut but hate Magnolia, so I was scared of this but grabbed it anyhow. It’s perfect! A lovely coconut, not a sweet screechy sunscreen coconut. The light florals make this cozy, even for a floral hater like myself. Beautiful, delicate, great hot weather scent and work appropriate. Plus the wood top is so cute!

My dad gave me this perfume and even thought I'm not a huge tropical scent person, I actually enjoy it. Its very coconutty and sweet, but in a floral way that (contrary to many comments here) isn't very artificial to me. Its perfect for summer and it is long lasting. If you like coconut, then you'll probably like it.

The opening is a very bright citrusy lime then the dry down is where most of the coconut shines through. I agree sillage and projection are moderate but have to do quite a few good sprays for that. I say for the price it’s a decent summer fragrance that wont break the bank.

This perfume is a green coconut smell, it smells like fresh green tropical leaves with zingy coconut floral. Very different from the creamy coconut perfumes I usually go for. Worth a try, won't be for everyone. Got it for a great price down to £25 ish.

Trying this in December. it's shampooey on skin at first, but after 20 minutes I'm getting a natural coconut water-coconut shell smell on clothes. I'll test it in warmer weather and update. 6/15/25 edit: Yeah, it's a natural, woody coconut. Not sweet.

The smell is good but the longevity and sillage is too weak. It is almost gone in 2 hours. After you could only smell the faint fresh floral coconut and it becomes a skinscent. Good for crazy hot summer days. Wish that it lasted longer.

Smells like bounty initially, honestly borderline headache inducing, then settles into a more musky coconut smell. I like it a lot! I can see this being perfect for summer although I’ve been wearing it in the fall/winter.

Not a synthetic type of coconut but a creamy realistic coconut. Lasts a long time. Most coconut fragrances don’t last. Has the be delicious dna so if you like then be delicious line, you probably will like this one.

not a bad performer for a fresh summer scent. the coconut is pretty prominent and fresh and stays for hours on my skin. I don't love the opening but it keeps getting better after the first few minutes

This smell like coconut but also a green creamy patchouli

Like a meal from the drive-thru; one should not expect filet mignon when ordering hamburger. And so it is with DKNY Be Delicious Coconuts About Summer (*good lord the name alone ;). For me this has a hint of coconut but a very synthetic version. I'm not a perfume snob and have several favorite cheapies but this one just doesn't come close to what it's notes pyramid claims its trying to be. I've tried layering it with other tropicals I have and they simply cover this entirely so, really, what's the point? I equate this with hoping for In-N-Out and someone brings you an Impossible Burger. It's just not the same - not even close.

you get what you’d expect from this perfume. it’s a generic, sweet girly summertime coconut fun fragrance. if that’s what you’re after then you’ll love this. it has great longevity, especially on clothes. my mum got me a bottle of it as a duty-free gift so for that reason it’ll remain in my collection, even though i never reach for it because it’s just not me. all i get from it is an extremely sweet, heavy coconut smell. that typical ‘tropical’, lotion-like coconut. it’s verging on being head-ache inducing to me. it would be a nice, fitting fragrance for an adolescent girl on a family seaside summer holiday.

I had high hopes for this because I love coconut! This was a blind buy for me as there were no testers but it was on sale - thankfully I can return it! On me, this smelled like Sol de Janeiro's Coco Cabana. There was a nuttiness that I picked up but based on the notes I shouldn't. The Coco Cabana, on me, starts out as a very gourmand fragrance that eventually turns tropical. This DKNY never turned tropical on me. So this is a hard pass. I will stick with my CK Eternity Summer scents!

Very much a skin scent! I find it a nice skin scent almost. There’s nothing to it could barely get the coconut note and not the type of coconut you would imagine either. I ended up decluttering it and selling it. I actually could finish it if I wanted to, but I have far too much to manage this. Very very meehhh!

This smells less coconutty than i expected. Definitely has the classic Be Delicious DNA and unfortunately the smell is all about that with a tiny hint of coconut which i can only get from the bottle and in the drydown after many hours. The first two hours is BD with pickles and then it becomes a skin scent.

I did like this, but there is something that you can smell as the day goes on that becomes very overwhelming. The initial smell is a lovely vanilla coconut but it turns almost sickly? I really wanted to like this but am not sure I do

This one is not as tropical and sweet as the name suggests. On me it is mostly fresh, almost a bit sour, with a hint of tea.

Let me start: I have never. Ever. Smelled coconut scented anything, ANYTHING, that I didn’t like. From lotion to bubble tea to room sprays and candles. I love coconut. This almost ruined coconut for me. For a week straight every coconut smell was haunted by memories of this. I don’t know what went wrong. I had high hopes! I’m also a huge fan of the original be delicious, it came out when I was 9 and I had my first bottle for Christmas the next year. At first, you get a hint of that in there. Then it is completely overtaken by the most awful and unique rotten garbage stinkbug odor that just smells like... indescribably bad. And it took me a week to be able to smell my daily body lotion because it is coconut oil scented. I wanted to love this. Everything told me I should love this. I even liked it when I first sprayed it. But I will NEVER risk even sniffing it again, so I won’t give my friends the bottle. Big miss from such a great line.
