DKNY Women Summer 2015

I was waiting for this to come out since DKNY women is my SS (well at least at a site I could purchase from), the first website would only ship to UK residents. Finally I found a site and I am glad I did! This starts out with strong burst of citrus like the original, but intertwined with that is a bite like in men's axe spray instead of the vodka in the original. It settles down into a floral scent, but keeping that powdery kick! Normally I hate powder scents, but it's definitely a man's powder scent vs. the women's baby powdery fluff I hate! I think this is the more feminine cousin of DKNY women. It is more floral than either version I have, but it's still from the "packs a punch" family of DKNY! The DKNY 2012 has a citrus tonic burst with a floral touch, and is another cousin of these two. I am enjoying building up my DKNY Summer Collection, while waiting for the newest addition in 2016!!!

Feeling under the weather, I decide that I really needed to cheer myself up so away to the shops I go! I spot DKNY Summer 2015. The tall, slender and elegant bottle feels really solid and beautifully made! MY first ever bottle from DKNY! I must say that it looks beautiful on the shelf with it's orange and pink grapefruit color along the sides. At first spray I am hit with what is described as Sweet Orange and Grape fruit, but it could very well be Lemon and Grape fruit, either way it smells very bright! An immediate awakening of the senses and I just cant help feel at ease almost in an instant, confident and refreshed! I close my eyes for a brief moment and I see an attractive, care free girl stepping out onto the beach in the Maldives with a sun kissed glow on her skin and wearing no flip flops, her hair still slightly wet from the shower she just indulged in after her one hour after sun cooling treatment at the spa which used certain ingredients with citrus. I imagine she had already been snorkeling in the morning, diving in the afternoon and spa treatment in the early evening and she had just stepped out of her villa again hoping to walk along the beach on to the sunset side of the island before it starts to get dark. She smells like the beautiful summer breeze, the people on the beach still trying to soak up the last rays of the setting Maldivian sun turn their heads as she walks past... not a care in the world. The fat man on the beach she just walked past whose wife was no where to be seen suddenly feels the need to order some refreshing lemonade, or maybe some pink grapefruit sorbet! Something! Anything tropical and refreshing! One hour later, I am unable to pin point the other notes, I can imagine carnation in there, maybe iris! I am unable to comment on the other notes, yet the over all impression is, I think I am in love with this beautiful addition to my collection! I would certainly be turning to it on hot summer days! On days I feel like wearing my over sized white t shirts and shorts! On days I feel absolutely beautiful with minimal effort! On days I feel like I need a rush of energy, on rainy days I want to have bright thoughts! It is Summer in a bottle!

this fragrance is just the essence of dkny, it is refreshingly summer. i sense the iris and grapefruit immediately, although the grape fruit is not overpowering, all the notes blend together to create this beautiful composition, which is DKNY SUMMER 2015.
