DKNY Women Summer 2019

I seem to have a knack at finding these DKNY Women perfumes. I've had good luck with the previous two so when I found this one I figured it was worth chancing a blind buy. The bottle, like the other two I have, is risky business on an unsecured surface. It's very tall with a small base. It can fall if you don't have it in a stable spot. The colour of this version was kind of Miami Vice, 80's pastel, summery. When you smell it, it's exactly the right packaging colour-scheme. It is very summer appropriate, a bit young and edgy with those rhubarb-citrusy-woody accords. And when I say edgy, think of 80's edge. So it's kind of an innocent, safe and "too cool" edge. I quite like it. It opens with super-citrus notes. That rhubarb is right out in front, adding a sour and almost balsam-like scent to the opening. After it settles in, you get the floral and woody notes taking over. It doesn't last terribly long but then it is an EDT concentration. Great summer scent, fresh and light. It's inoffensive enough to go anywhere but still has just a little difference from the everyday to make it interesting.

I bought this in TK Maxx for £19.99 for 100mls. I wear it to work, as its fresh, light, clean and non-offensive. A perfect day time scent. Its crisp, not powdery, and not 'soapy' It reminds me of being caught in a rain shower on holiday. My colleagues say "Oh you smell nice" when I walk in the office, its good to get compliments! This is not a particularly remarkable or memorable fragrance, I wouldn't wear it for a special occasion or a date night, but for a go-to everyday fragrance when you're just going about your day, it fine.

Gorgeous bottle! I have the 2017 edition, the scent is nothing special. Wish I could have this to put on my shelf instead, it is way prettier :)
