DKNY Women

This is the definition of Sterile and Antibacterial in my opinion, but in the best way possible. DKNY Women smells sharp, razor sharp to be precise, its an abstract mix of being natural and syntheic/urban, in fact I'll go as far as to say what I did in my Paco Rabanne Ultraviolet review; it smells almost "digital". In my head when I smell this, I picture a lab, all glass panels with a load of sunlight coming in and stainless steel lab benches with conical flasks filled with vodka and cuttings of lemon trees and tomato vines inside them, it feels very urban and still feels on trend and modern, Donna Karen really had her finger on the pulse with this one. I don't quite picture New York with this one but I do get the "super urban city during a summer rain storm" vibes with it, reminiscent of the time I was at a bar, sat outside with a friend drinking a vodka with ice when it was hot and it started hammering down with rain, petrichor freshness mixed with the astringent smell of my vodka and the biting cold smell/feel from the ice in the glass. The notes I get from this are predominantly the tomato leaves, orange, lemon and I also get a wet/rain note as well as an unlisted cotton sort of note which actually may be a mixture of the musk and the birch notes, its a perfect crisp t-shirt and jeans type fragrance for both work and casual wear, especially refreshing in the summer heat as well, it makes you feel like you've just stepped out of the shower all day. Longevity is decent; I have the EdP concentration and obviously with this being citrus based it is a tad fleeing but I can get about 6 hours from it with a moderate silage. Why did I not buy this one sooner?!

I have always loved perfume and cologne, remembering scents forever and comparing them to their scent doppelgängers! This scent, DKNY women is my favorite scent-one that can't be compared to! It's only fitting my first review be of my signature scent! Never having found anything close, I am intrigued by the perfume by SHE where six people said it reminds them of this perfume! It is crisp and very strong. I smell grapefruit, a powerful scent I love-that I now know is tomato leaves, and vodka! I love Love, LOVE this scent! I get compliments on it and will continue to since I wear it often! It is not sold at Macy's etc, but I would still buy it on Amazon or Ebay for the price anyway! Perfumia and other perfume boutiques still sell it. It projects and lasts! I love picking up a jacket and smelling that invigorating scent from days before! I wear this so much that my jackets have DKNY as a signature scent too lol!!! :-D Other citrus favs So Fresh Sugar Lemon (like zesty lime margaritas) Sephora I love love/D&G Light Blue. Smell VERY similar and 1st is less than half the cost. I have the version pictured above, the one in the tall frosted glass with the small DKNY letters. I used to wear this back in the early 2000's and picked up another bottle a few years ago and decided to pull it back out of my collection today as it was around 100 degrees today. This fragrance to me is pure summer in a bottle, but not beachy like Replica's Beach Walk, it is straight citrus with an interesting twist which I think comes from the tomato leaf. Whoever is saying this smells like toilet cleaner must have some really good smelling toilet cleaner. I think this is just such a sophisticated take on a fresh fragrance. It is citrusy without being lemon-y and the lasting power for a fresh scent is incredible. I can spray this in the morning and still catch whiffs of this at night. I dont know how it was achieved, but this fragrance truly has an icy coldness to it that even the sound of the atomizer when depressed gives off a cold vibe. This is the farthest from being a cozy scent. It is 100% heat and summer, and the best fragrance to wear when it is sweltering hot outside. I would say this is more of a day time scent, however, I would totally wear this on a hot summer night too. It is just a spectacular and unique take on a citrus scent and I always want to have this in my collection!

This perfume is a masterpiece. It was my high school perfume back in the early 2000’s. I have tons of memories and life changes tied to this bottle of perfume. It smells bittersweet, refreshing, laundry like. It wakes you up and makes you want to do things. This is not feminine, motherly, sexy or even businesslike. NO. This is the coolest woman in all Manhattan, walking around in a small black dress, dark sunglasses, a nude bag and a trench coat. Hair to the window and a strong coffee in her hand. This is cool. Call it the spirit of the new millennium in a bottle. The simplicity of the 90s meets with the futuristic style of the 2000s. In other words: It’s a true symbol for the year in which it came out. People are free to love or hate. I personally LOVE ❤️ 💕 this :) Probably best after 20 years of age (I wore it in high school and I think that didn’t sit well with some. My peers thought it was aggressive (as more sweet perfumes were popular among teens at the time). I would also say this goes well across all seasons, maybe just not for summer (shocker) I find the heat and the sweat takes away from its beauty. Also, I find some men tend to dislike this. Do I care? No. I love men but I won’t give this up for any of you lol me and DKNY Women are a package deal :)

Normally clean and/or green scents doesn’t like me and vice versa.. this is the one exception. This.. doesnt smell like anything else. I can think of no other perfume that I’ve come across that resembles this. I dont really care too much for a lot fancy gibberish when describing scents but this scent, IMO, really IS crisp. Crisp and cool. Like a glass of zesty ice chips sitting in the shade off a juniper tree.. or whatever - now there’s a description ;-D. Anyhoozies. I think this perfume is one of those “love it or hate it” fragrances and in that case I understand why. It’s not a constant in my collection but it IS a constant re-appear in my collection. Every once in a while I’ll miss it and will pick it up. That way it has been a part of my “catalogue”, if you will, since my late teens (39 yrs now) and I do hope that it doesnt get discontinued. Despite the longterm.. friendship.. I’ve had with DKNY I STILL get a little bit surprised every time I re-smell it. It’s quite the tricky little nose-twister this one - which is one of the things I adore about this perfume. It’s truly unique and interesting and always keep me returning for a little aroma-shock-therapy.

It is summer where I live and I decided to pull this out again. I have the bottle that comes in that pretty holographic packaging and the bottle is frosted, says 'DKNY' on the lid and 'Women' on the bottle itself, just as the one pictured here. There is a newer formula that has DKNY in large letters that take up the whole bottle. I believe my current bottle is the same formula that was in 1999 and the early 2000's when I first discovered it because it smells exactly as it did then and the lasting power is unbelievable. I've heard the reformulation in new packaging has been watered down, but what's new? Women is bright and the most energizing fragrance I have ever worn. I don't pay attention to the negative reviews because I know how great it is for me. It's my go-to on extremely hot days and for the gym. Smells like a glass of something sparking and cold, mostly citrus dominated which comes across as grapefruit to me. Tomato leaf adds a bite of bitterness and the woods balance it well. Cassis gives a nice green touch. Unique and fresh and a long time love.

I love (adore) this fragrance. It opens with juicy mandarin and tomato leaf (together it ́s little bitter), than I smell lily and birch. Lasting power is incredible and sillage also. There ́s what I imagine :D:D It ́s cold like ice, green like you ́re in very big city and all around are people but you have some place in nature where you can hide, it ́s daring like a girl who wants to bring attention, it ́s sexy like a woman who is herself and don ́t care about what somebody says, it ́s kind of insolent scent,it ́s just a fragrance with big personality. I think this is one of these scents which somebody adore or somebody hate. Nothing in between it. It ́s like a New York, for that city you must have a big personality and be confident, New York lives his life and is just yourself, that ́s why people love it there. It ́s unusual that ́s maybe why people don ́t like it, it ́s unique and it really describes NYC and the energy you can feel all around.I hope this won ́t be reformulated. Masterpiece! Thumbs up to DKNY house. Works pretty good even in winter.

To me, DKNY Women is a great focus/energy scent. It's just amazing. Fresh, green earthy, zesty. This gives me that laser-focus feeling. Not only a summer citrus for me. Great rainy scent; blends perfectly with the smell of rain. It begins with this cool, herby-citrus edge. After that, it relaxes, but still keeps an edge. That's it's character. The smell of dirt/earth helps it stay grounded. The orange is prominent and so refreshing mixed in with that (tomato leaf) green earthy smell. Then it gets softer, more clean soft flowers tiptoe in, but the initial character of the opening is still there. Yes, As it relaxes it gets a clean laundry vibe. The laundry of THE MOST INTERESTING WOMAN IN THE WORLD! I am delighted that I found this. Its special. It's a happy green energy smell- can't help but love it. Longevity is very good on me-just gets softer after 3-4 hours but still whispering with a soft, pretty dry down. Try this if you like earthy, quirky, citrus, crisp, laundry/clean scents!

Just purchased it online. My old time favorite. I started using it because of my young modern mom, she used to love and I sometimes took it from her cabinet and use it. And here I am, 10 dkny bottles later... This perfume is... clean. I always get stopped and asked what the hell am I wearing. Modern, fresh, light, very simplistic, refreshing.. If I imagine a woman wearing it, it's a young 25 lady in neutral (white, black, nude) smart monochromatic outfit - oversized high quality blazer and matching color pants, minimal jewelry, sleek hairstyle, little make up, and black sunglasses. That's how I would describe this perfume. It is nice to wear in both winter and summer,I wouldn't wear it in the evening. The most powerful note I can feel is bitterness and mandarin orange which I love, I also feel like there has always been lime, but maybe it's just my nose. Overall 10/10. Love it, it will always have a special place in my heart

DKNY Women has been my summer signature for the past few years. Just a few sprays creates a cool, crisp bubble to guard against sweltering hot, humid days. The tall, angular bottle looks like a modern skyscraper, and yes, the scent inside reminds me of a cool, shaded urban rooftop garden. It is citrus without sourness, aromatic green leafyness without an overly herbal or vegetal funk. The vodka note is prominent and adds a modern edge. I have LOVED this perfume. It's so refreshing, and has helped me survive the worst heat and humidity. Alas, I have to admit that both of my back-up bottles are now starting to turn. The top notes are off, and there's a subtle "old-LILY" undertone, much like EL Pleasures smells when it turns. So here I will say farewell, and enjoy the last few good mls I have left. It's a sad day.

I absolutely love this fragrance. Smells like fresh squeezed orange juice, lemons and ice water( if water had a smell)....I mean this in the best possible way..lol. It is extremely fresh smelling. There is a slight green effervescence to it as well...maybe that is the tomato leaf and vodka? Idk, but this is just sooo refreshing, CRISP, and bright. Almost sterile. It does not last very long or project very far but for the prices you can find this at these days I dont mind. I originally bought a 50ml but loved it so much I'm already halfway through in only 1 month. I just purchased the full 100ml as a back up. If you like clean crisp citrus you will probably enjoy this. I see myself wearing this the most on really hot days this summer.

I don’t know if I’d call it my signature scent......but it’s pretty darn close. I’ve been wearing this since it was first released in Australia around 2000 -2001, rotating it in and out of my collection over the years. I was living in Darwin when I first got it, tropical climate hot and humid and you don’t need winter clothes. So because of this weather you’re always clammy as you go about your day, wearing this made me feel confident, fresh and clean. I also received compliments while wearing it, so I feel the fragrance was perfect for the climate and certainly done its job. My other go to fragrances that have a similar effect on me are Dolce & Gabbana Light Blue and Versace Dillon Blue.

I had no clue this perfume has been around for so many years!!! I happened to just see the fragrance mist on a shelf in the Ulta at Target and it was only $18 I think so I tried it and was shocked! It's SO GOOD! It was like an immediate mood boost which is weird because it does say it's "Energizing", LOL. I guess it does what it says! I love how fresh, green and slightly sweet it is. It also layers with basically anything!!! If the actual perfume smells the same, I'm getting it and making my signature spring scent! I love the tomato note and for those who smell cilantro... I DO NOT get it... I HATE cilantro. I despise cilantro - like gag inducing hate so if this was in here, I'd know it!

I love this perfume but I could never, ever wear it. It belongs completely to my best friend. This is her signature scent and she rarely wears anything else. Such a beautiful fresh and citrus-y smell, something in the background reminds me of the discontinued Les Belles De Ricci Liberty Fizz. It's such a fresh, clean and summery fragrance, it lights up a room. It cuts straight through darker and murkier scents and whenever I smell it, it reminds me of my friend and all the silly fun evenings we've ever had. This is perfect for any age, I don't think anyone can go wrong with such a clean and sparkling citrus.

Years ago my neighbor came by to visit, I was all of 22 years old, she was 50 something, my windows were open. I caught a whiff of her perfume and almost fell over! The only way to describe it was intoxicating!!!!!!!!!!! I asked what it was and (after saving up) went to Dillard’s and bought my own bottle!!!!! To me it smelled “salty” and I can’t say the saltiness was a chemistry thing because it smelled that way on her AND on me!!!!!! I wore it faithfully for years. Seeing our age difference I would classify it as ageless. Very unique smell. Truly unforgettable

This is my mom signature, she loves it I love it, I love giving to her as a birthday present and she is aways ecstatic to get it! This is great, chic and vibrant won’t ever assault your senses, is ice needles sharp, juicy and citrusy without being obvious punch lemon or soapy, the tomato flower is my guess of what makes it unique... never found anything that could replace it or top it. Don’t let the 1999 fool you this is crisp NY! Far from the big apples scents from DK. Modern still in 2020 it will never smell granny or vintage.

I am so confused! In about 2000 I found this DKNY for women scent and absolutely fell in love with it. But now I smell what is marketed as the same fragrance and it's totally different to the one I liked before. Obviously I know our palettes change over the years, but I really don't think this is the issue. Can you still buy the 1999-2001 fragrance? All the newer, similarly-named-and-boxed fragrances I have come across are much more masculine than I remember the original being. Can anyone clear this up for me please? =(

This has been my sumner go-to fragrance since I was 19 years old..and I’m 42 now 😁 If you like citrus and clean-sheet perfumes, this is a banger! And unlike many from ‘back in the day’, it can still be worn today and smell lovely and modern. Theres no tomato leaf smell in this- just a sharp, sweet lemon and champaigne like opening, followed by clean and strong, slightly floral qualities. And one more thing- these old perfumes laaaaaaast, they outperform all the new designer releases that they serve us these days.

I decluttered a hand full of Perfumes and a friend wanted a trade. This was one I picked out of her declutter stash immediately. Very fresh, clean uplifting citrus scent! Reminds me of a lemoncilo cocktail. I love this! It's a hot weather freshie. I will be layering this with strawberry soda(bbw) lemon pound cake(bbw)etc. This was just what I needed in my collection; will work beautifully with my warmer gourmonds for summer.

First off, I love the bottle. It's tall, slim and handy. I'm a totes lady, so I can just throw this in my bag. Next, the scent is so fresh and spicy (in a cool way), youthful and vibrant. It lives up to its name "Energizing". It smells wonderful on my clothes. It lasts about half a day on my skin, but I don't mind spritzing this all day. I want to spray this on every hour if I can :). Great for everyday use!

i bought today after i tested in åhlens and i must say that take my breath away ,its so much fresh crispy smell like now i coming put from shover !very unique,cold ,like ice queen ,great for sumer but actualy alldays allways .i fell the mandarin orange ,tomato leaf and lilly ,than the rest of the notes absolutly great longlasting eccseptoinal perfume

One of my favourites. When I first sprayed it I waited and thought, hmmm just a fresh lemony grassy scent, well ok...but then as it was drying down some unexplainable notes came and charmed me to the point I fell in love with this hidden treasure. Very special composition, develops great on my skin, really feel fresh and energized after wearing it.

This perfume smells divine on me. Never thought that the scent of tomato leaf and oranges can work so well together. Yes, it's an unusual but such an amazing summer fragrance:fresh and fruity, BUT nothing like the typical fruity Escada scents nor L'eau Par Kenzo kind of fresh. Simply beautiful. I will definitely wear this next summer

I love this perfume for its slight weirdness. It’s uniquely refreshing to my senses- like telling me “wake up!” And gets softer and more pleasant over time while still holding on to that wakey edge if that makes sense! Clean, crisp, and even a little warm. Sunny in a green earthy garden sort of way. Citrus at its best in my opinion!

THIS. It is such a clean scent. I cannot pick up any of the notes listed, as for me this just smells like you have took a bubble bath with palmolive or dove foam and after that you covered yourself in dove bodylotion. It ́s absolutely clean, fresh, straight out of the bath tub. I love, love, love this scent.

At first when tried this one at the store I thought it was nice, but a few months later, I changed my mind, it was totally different. I mean, I like citrus and tomato leaves but this combo with the flowers and patchouli is too sharp, too strong for me and it definitely wakes my allergies up. Sorry not a fan!

I bought this because of its unusual notes and comments about the smell. It performs well in 41 degrees Middle East temps and 17 degrees Middle East air conditioned environments. I love it. Edit: Layered this with a sample of Molecule 02. Molecule 02 on the bottom and Women on top. Wow, only more to love.

I love the freshness of the opening and if continued all the entire performance like that it would be one of my favorites, the problem to me is the base notes that smell more masculine because it has suede or leather so I use a dupe that doesn't have such a strong base notes. However it holds up well.

This is the ultimate "kick-butt" summer perfume - crisp, cold (in a good way), clean but edgy and fun. Perfect for an office environment as it commands respect but is inoffensive. I would definitely wear it out on a summer night - its actually quite sexy and will make heads turn - no nonsense!

it is by far my most beloved fragrance; since 2001 l have in my collection and once and awhile l change to another perfume in order to keep my nose accurate; otherwise l would constantly wear this fragrance. For me, it is more than a nice perfume, it has a positive therapeutic effect.

I've been using this perfume for about 9 years now. I had other perfumes using, but only one bootle. But THIS is my signature fragrance. :) It's fresh, smells very unique and clean. It's like the rain in the city on a summer evening... I love it and I always gets compliments! :)

This perfume is for me absolutely great, it's my signature! I bought it at the end of 90ties and since then i love it. It's like a refreshing shower in hot days, very clean, light and sparkling. Citruses, vodka, tomato leafs, what a great combination!

The fact that I like this scent is strange - mostly I choose the more floral perfumes / eau de toilettes. But this is fresh, and I smell tomato plant in it. I love the smell of a tomato plant. I was very sorry to see the bottle empty one day.

Does anyone know if this is discontinued? I can't seem to find it anywhere. I'm seeing the Energizing version but not this original. I wore this when I was 19 and 20, so I would like to have a bottle for olfactory memory trips.

Absolutely LOVE this perfume and get comments all the time! There is nothing quite like it. This perfume has stood the test of time. It will never go out of date and I will keep repurchasing!

I love love love this perfume, and I normally prefer sweeter, floral scents. My only problem is that I seem to be having a hard time finding it in stores!! I love the clean, citrusy scent.

No matter if my wife uses Creed Aventus For Her, Coco Chanel, Ylang in Gold of Micallef, or Mon Guerlain, this is the best scent that she uses. Love it, would buy DKNY Women for ever.

It's like stepping in out of the rain,sharp,aromatic green and spicy,I love it!! Can be worn day or night and the longevity and sillage is long!!

I love this, light and fruity to my nose - sweet oranges. Unfortunately it needs overspraying and even then fades very quickly.

Cannot get enough of this, so energising for work. I don't care if it doesn't appeal to everyone, I am dousing myself in this.

Mostly forgotten but it is one of the best citrusy clean scents ever. Strong alcohol scent fades quickly and citrusses rise.
