Just stunning... Got this in a pack of samples from Macy's when I ordered a new bottle of Opium. This isn't something I would normally go ot of my way to test, never mind buy, but... Donna Karan Woman is unlike anything I have, have had or have tried, although to be honest I am not an aficianado of modern fragrances. One word-Addictive!!. Very modern compsition in the use of typically masculine ingredients. I feel sad that the idea of women's fragrance is so limited today. Flowers, fruits and sugar. Reading some of the reviews below really sends that message home, sadly. I think if you think you feel you can wear only so called "femme" frags, you miss out on some individualistic, and yes, very sexy scents that could be just right for you. I say this because although I love florals,the forest, meadow and green woody scents of my chilhood feel close to my heart. I love how Woman's fragrance builds as it unfurls.The strength of character makes this sweet/tart beauty not typical. This is no soft aquatic! The choice of ingredients might be traditionally masculine, however this fragrance is not rough or bracing in the least. The vetiver,citrus and sandlewood mesh very smoothly. Interestingly, the composition is sweet throughout, with an underlying spicy-tartness that develops more character longer it is on the skin. I love how I have applied only one spritz of this, and wow! This baby's strong!! And to discover that this scent behaves the way I want a fragrance to- it amplifies as it reveals its characteristic "fingerprint" on the skin. Spice is nice, and I just love green scents. Sweet and green is a first for me, and I'm loving it!!!I have been wanting to find one that my husband likes, and the sweetness might make this it for me.

Fans of earthy, woody, incense-like fragrances better get this one whilst you can!! I loooooove this perfume and was excited to have tested a perfume that didn't smell like a teenager, candy, a flower shop, or any other stereotypical ultra-femme perfume so ubiquitous in department stores, on female co-workers, and whiffed on public transportation. This is for the woman who DOES NOT LIKE these things and is as complex as her fragrance choices. I must admit it does remind me of the "Raid" fly spray my mother used to fumigate the house with, but once it dries down it's olfactory heaven for me! I am a big aficionada of sandalwoods, vetiver, musks, and anything resinous. It isn't often and not many women's fragrance will have sandalwood and vetiver as dominant notes. I don't detect the orange blossoms outright, but I will guess it is the subtle sweetness which radiates (slightly!) after 3 hours, softening the bold sandalwood and vetiver. I always have to resort to blending essential oils to create my own perfumes. I couldn't stop smelling my wrists and the inside of my shirt hours after applying it at the counter. Donna Karan Woman is a very unique, complicated, and intoxicating fragrance, indeed! I will be sure to rack up on this one...as prissy misses (e.g., the flowery, sweet perfume crowd) will cause this one to be discontinued with their endless whining and complaints.

This is gorgeous, both bottle and juice! It strikes me as sparkly-peppery, dry, and warm. Very unique in women's fragrances. FYI : there is a signature series of gel lotions and body sprays that Bath and Body Works just put out on limited edition and the Black Cosmic Cream smells so much like this perfume that it stopped me in my tracks! Seriously if you love this perfume you NEED that lotion, too! It lasts really long and complements this perfectly. Also the White is vetiver-heavy and bears a strong resemblance to Woman as well. I was shocked. It starts out softly spiced, barely sweet woods. Very smooth- maybe just a bit peppery. This could be worn by the right man but I don't feel I'm wearing a masculine-smelling perfume at all. It is soft in its approach. I would guess the orange blossom and maybe some lily lends the sweetness, and there might be vanilla, but only a touch. It gets a bit smoky and drier, though I still get a layer of spicy. This is close to perfect to me. It is sophisticated, elegant, comfortable like a second skin, and makes me smile at all of its lovely stages. Lasting power is great. Not only that, but now it looks like I own some ancient alien artifact I can display on my dresser. I can see this being a signature scent, especially in cooler months. Love.

I bought samples of perfume last year. I fell in love with two scents from the whole bunch: Alien (which I'm using until now and lead me to other Mugler fragrances) and this Donna Karan Woman. This one doesn't exist in Indonesia. Looked as I might, I can't find it. But it stays in my mind even as I bought other perfumes. I will buy this online soon, as I know Amazon sellers still got this available. Suffice to say, that's how I love this fragrance, like a longing, a thirst I have to quench. It's simple yet elegant, sophisticated, IMHO not at all masculine, deliciously lingering on my skin. I remember I couldn't stop smelling my wrist. Tried to keep myself from using it but alas the small 1ml sample has long gone now. The mix of beautiful orange blossom with Haitian vetiver and sandalwood just absolutely divine. I like it's linear quality. Bravo Donna Karan Woman.

I'm not generally a DK fan and would have passed this one up had not the persistent DK rep keep pushing it on me. You know how they are; the scent is like nothing else and the vetiver is so exclusive, she said. To my surprise, I loved it. The sandalwood smelled spicy on my skin and blended well with the vetiver and orange blossom. It not being too flowery or strong, I think it would be a great, clean smelling scent to wear to work. The rep also said the bottle was made to represent the curve of a woman's back. Try as I might, I don't see that one. At all. For gosh sakes, it does kind of look like some kind of swiffer handle. She also said that the bottle of Cashmere Mist represented the curve of a woman's neck; maybe I can picture that one a little better. Lasting power was very good - about 6 hours. Sillage is moderate, and I get compliments when worn.

I really like this one. First time I saw a perfume only containing these few quite masculine notes, (though there is probably more to it than thas) :-) It is so long ago I had Mystere de Rochas (the one from the 80es), so I can't say for sure, that they are alike. But the instant I sniffed this - bam I saw the image of my old a bit ugly Mystere bottle in front of me. Ugly bottle but lovely strong perfume, that I used up to the very last drop. Had I only known then, that it would later be so difficult to come by... I guess they are not the same, but more like sisters. And when I can scrape the money together, I have to have a bottle of this. This is really something :-)

When I first sprayed the fragrance I thought smells like a man. I was intrigued. Then the scent evolved to more than a manly scent. It became a Spicey, musky scent with a feminine touch. I purchased 2 bottles a 50 ml for $30.00 and 100ml gift set for $40.00 from a wharehouse sale. I think after years of searching and 100's of bottles I've find my signature scent. Update: I have literally been finding an excuse to spray this perfume. The scent lingers nicely on scarfs. Did I mention that the bottle is a work of art?

Gorgeous! Why was this not a big hit? Maybe because it is not mainstream. Woman smells niche to me: out of the ordinary and rather expensive. This Woman holds a lot of vetiver - one of my favourite notes. The sandalwood makes the scent even darker and richer. It feels mystical and alluring and is, I think, rather apt for winter than for summer. The bottle is special, looking like an art-object or a 1960's designer vase. Now I just read that Zaha Hadid designed it. No wonder it is beautiful!

Holy WOOOOWZERS is this smokey! When I first spray this on, it literally smells like im sitting by a camp fire. But for some reason, in this case, it's not negative. I dont think I will buy a whole bottle, but the mystery in DK Woman is very intriguing. I would say the "camp fire" smell does die down a bit to a more incense like feel..but i never really sense any floral notes. If you want to stand out, be different, mysterious...or very outdoorsy and rugged..this is for u!

The instant I sprayed this on, I exclaimed WOW! out loud (to no one other than myself). Amazing first impression - an explosion of citrus, fresh flowers, something like melon? and a definite masculine note. Even still, I found it feminine enough for me to want to wear it and sniff my wrists constantly. I love the depth to this fragrance; I can't wait to see how this dries down. So far I love it. I'm sad to have learned that it's been discontinued.

One of my all time favorites for over a decade now. It is tragic how devoid the world is of a trace of this scent! I'd imagine because twas all purchased on account of how intoxicatingly elegant it is, like a pure gold apple pie on a chilly autumn night. I have 2 bottles, (thank you past me for thinking ahead) though neither is very full. I do hope they re-release before I run out! 10/10

I tried this and I LOVE it....plan on purchasing this pronto. I keep wanting to smell the coat I had on when I tried this. Can't decide between 50ml or 100ml. I had been looking for something "different" along the lines of oriental/incense with a touch of sweetness. It smells like Japanese incense on me and it lasted about 5-6 hours on my skin.

I have decided to make this my signature scent! Very creamy orange blossom with a darkness that some might read as masculine but to me this is feminine with an edge. The bottle is gorgeous. When I wear this I feel like myself but even better! Glad this isn't so popular making it that much more unique as my signature fragrance.

Classy, great opening... Few notes but still very complex and interesting perfume that call to my senses. Orange flowers Vetiver & Sandalwood. Femininity with a masculine vibe. This perfume surprized me and is perfectly blended. Femininity, with orange blossoms , greens, and with vetiver to give it a slight masculine vibe. The best I've tried in a long time ! But really, there must be notes lacking the description... Love this!!!

A beautiful womanly perfume. Gorgeous. Very very elegant and deep and alluring. I feel completely loved and adored in it, and my husband feels the same (about me!)!!!! The bottle is exquisite!

Got myself a sample and was so curious about this scent that as soon as I got it I sprayed on a paper card to see how it smelled (I had some other perfume on and didn't want to spray this over the other one) and I liked it... a lot. Until the next day when I sprayed it on my skin. Four words: nothing woman-ly about this. Didn't like the smell at all and wouldn't purchase a bottle. Update: sorry Donna Karan Woman for the previous negative comment. After trying this again for a full day I have to say I actually like it. What a strange, curious and gorgeous scent. I cant really explain what it is but this is so different ftom anything in my collection and it grew on me. First time I tried it I put this on before going to bed so I never gave it a chance to develop but today I sprayed it on my skin at 9 am and it just kept getting better and better. I like unique, non standard scents and this is no diffrent. Definitely not your average girlish, fruity flowery scent but rather mysterious, grown up, maybe a bit masculine and yet beautiful. Gotta have some "balls" to pull this one off!!! Update: still have some samples left and wore this today again (6/27), a warm but breezy day in NY. Oh boy, this is just wonderful, the more i wear it the more i like it. Definitely not your average joe but the woman next door. I might get a full bottle once i run out of my samples. Will probably work well in the fall as well. By the way, very long lasting with a medium sillage.

First off, let me say that I am not a bottle person but OH MY GOD, this bottle is f-ing amazing. Secondly, I'd like to say that this fragrance really embodies the difference between a "Donna Karan" and a "DKNY" fragrance. I think that me and Donna Karan are like, fragrance soul sisters 'cause we both just love WOOD and MUSK. It seems this must be the real black sheep of the Donna Karan fragrance family because although I recall seeing it on the counter at Bloomingdales when it first came out, it very quickly disappeared. I also see that only 78 people own this fragrance. Super weird for a well known designer especially when this perfume has only been out for 2 years and, to my knowledge, has not officially been discontinued. Woman is earthy, murky and green. There is something to this fragrance that smells like the bitter skin of a cucumber. This, I've gathered, is the Haitian vetiver. As for sandalwood, I can't say I'm really picking it up, but perhaps it's what mellows out the bitter, rooty, grassy vibe from the vetiver as Woman dries down. I catch a tiny waft of orange blossom here and there, but I don't know if I would have identified it as orange blossom without referencing the notes list. It's just a hint of "something else". Entirely unisex and definitely unexpected for something offered on a department store counter. It actually strongly reminds me of Six Scents Incense Into the Sea (listed as Incense by the Sea on Fragrantica).

When I was a fragrance model, Donna Karan was one of the companies I worked for. I was so pleased & happy when this scent hit the market. It is a very nice & different take on vetiver which is usually a heavy note. Here it is done in a contrast way, surely it is there but not in a very earthy type way. There is a floral note in there possibly the orange flower which gives the vetiver that contrast appeal. A few things DK messed up with this fragrance. The name.. Woman... Not very creative & not smart. I say that to say this smells VERY UNISEX! Almost completely masculine. This was such a hard sale for me because when women smelled it, the first thing that came out of their mouths was IS THIS A MENS COLOGNE? Yes marketing was all wrong on this one. The name should be changed & called something completely different & it should have been marketed UNISEX at the very least! I believe it would have had MUCH better success on the market. It is beautifully done & sexy. A night fragrance with longevity at least 8+ hours on me & projection is high! Leaves a nice scent trail & it does lure compliments.. If you want to stand out & smell different than the crowd, this is a nice one for sure.

I didn't see an iron. It looked elegant and enticing enough to get a sample though. I actually liked it because I had been looking for an incense-like fragrance for women for some time. It didn't seem masculine at all. Most men's perfumes tend to assault the nose with the sandal wood and citrus notes and something else which makes them so obnoxious (referring to the perfume not the man). But alas this is no Dreaming in Portofino- I would not wear it to work even though it is more gender neutral a scent, and the notes are much less complex and interesting, which can also be said of the nostalgic associations I get from it... for example, churches, cathedrals, other places of worship, pilgrimages, etc. Edit: I don't know what orange blossom smells like, unfortunately (?), the top note at the skin smells to me like watermelon candy - but subdued. It's excellent. I think it might be my new signature fragrance... except that it doesn't have the lasting power of Armani Code, sillage of Aquolina. (Good thing?)

Being a gourmand lover I never imagined that I'd like such a scent as this. Having never tried a vetiver scent I am surprised to find I like the note on my skin. Its fresh, clean & earthy with woody undertones. Feminine with a masculine edge, this is a sexy adult woman's scent not a soft, sweet, girly fragrance. Thinking of investing in a full size bottle. Longevity is about 6 hours with medium sillage. I do love the unique Donna Karan bottles. They remind me of an artist's gallery at the New York Met. Chic!

I just want to say the bottle matches the fragrance perfectly... sleek, classy, and unisex. A comforting scent for me, as my mom actually wore this quite a bit when it first came out. The vetiver and sandalwood balance out the floral notes well and make the scent more unisex...definitely recommend trying to find it on second hand websites (since it’s discontinued), if you think this will match your vibe. Surprised I didn’t see much hype about this.

I find this very feminine but not like pink sugary insipid feminine...this is creamy bright sharp and classic. Could be worn in professional or casual settings. The vetiver is most prominent to be with the orange blossom giving it a green fresh edge. If u cant find this i suggest klein beauty to be in a similar vein. Beauty is sharper and yes they have completely different notes but i find they have a similar feel

Love it, wanna bathe in it, super interested in getting this in soap form as I think that is where it would shine. Really disappointed to see it's discontinued, although that seems to be a pattern in the perfume industry (good quality perfume? bye bye). I agree with previous reviews, this smells niche and it smells high quality. Clean, soft, soapy. Very cozy and comfortable. Unisex and modern. It's lovely! 7.5/10

Tried this at Nordstrom's today. Smelled a little too heavy on the sandalwood on paper, but the vetiver really comes out on my skin. There's a slight smoky edge to it that actually comes across as masculine - though I love unisex scents. Just not what I expected from the name. Wouldn't buy it but it's interesting.

Dropped the largest size of this bottle on my bare left foot last night, from a height. I don't recommend it. Smells like rich, fuzzy, warm candied watermelon, neroli and vetiver. A weird as all hell perfume. When I first got it, I loved it. Waned. Thought it was weird and one dimensional. Enjoyed it again. Momentarily. Don't care for it too much, in mind's eye. Though craving it slightly, so mayhaps it's not all that blasé. Might actually apply it later. Can't sleep though, on account of my sore left foot. 🙄 I can recall that it sticks like glue. It has tenacity. A good signature, given that it's pretty unique in today's climate, works well with only light application. 🍉🍬🪵💐

The opening is incredible; like "WHOA! SEXY." incredible. There's a raw, earthy dampness to it. I'm thinking it's some interplay of the sandalwood and vetiver. I catch similarities to Keiko Mecheri's use of sandalwood in Bois de Santal; it's very sensuous to me. And then, while I'm reveling in how sexy this scent feels, the orange blossom comes in and cleans it right up. It's, admittedly, a very nicely done transition. However, the soapy clean floral of the drydown isn't very interesting to me. Wafts off the skin for about 4 hours and can still be smelled at the skin for another 3.

This isn't bad! It's pretty cozy, but modern at the same time. I think if this was put out by a more popular brand, it would be a popular hit. It's faintly woody and soapy, giving a sophisticated clean smell. Unisex, leaning masculine. Not something I would reach for often, but good to have as an option. 6/10

What a surprise. The concept of "woman" has been linked for so long with flowers and and candy and Chanel no 5 (though not all at the same time!), that I simply assumed that DKNY WOMAN was going to be some sort of quintessentially feminine perfume. No, not at all. Far from it, in fact! To my nose, WOMAN is completely androgynous. I won't say that it's masculine, but it's certainly not feminine. Primarily the scent is that of wood--or its aromachemical surrogates. To be honest, upon application this fragrance elicited memories in my mind of all sorts of recent mainstream launches which feature a very strong base apparently drawn from the same vat as Le Labo ANOTHER 13. I don't like that base, so unsurprisingly, WOMAN does not appeal very much to me. For those who enjoy that base, well, here you go, another ANOTHER 13 can now be had at your local department store! The big mystery to my mind is: why call this WOMAN? Seems like a bad marketing tack, given the nature of this woody, unfeminine, postmodern perfume.

Well this little number is quite the paradox, isn't it? It's simply called "Woman" and yet, it's the most masculine-smelling perfume made for women I have smelled since the original Opium. That being said though, I find Woman is much more pleasant than Opium in that it does have a tinge of orange blossom in the undertone. This one is not for me, but if you are looking for a nice bold and complex perfume that will be different from what we usually smell in women's fragrances, this one is for you!

I want to love this fragrance so much, but to me it smells just like a light version of Secretions Magnifique, minus the floral undertones! I have a suspicion that it's something in the vetiver/sandalwood combo. I'm sure that to someone who has never smelled EM, it's a lovely, sophisticated scent. But as such a dead ringer for a perfume designed to smell of semen, I just can't get over the association and try to rate it less subjectively.

This fragrance celebrates the manly and free-spirited side of a woman. It is rather chypre and aromatic, and has a very bold opening on your skin especially if dabbed on. This scent invigorates me and its green notes make it best suited for an active daytime kind of occasion. For women 25 plus in the springtime. You have to be in the mood for this fragrance- it is not for the shy of heart.

Yes, it DOES look like an iron :D Sad thing about it that there's nothing unique in the scent, and I think we can expect "Woman Floral", "Woman Sensuelle" or any other to be released soon, like it is with "Delicious"... It's so easy for them to launch a "New" when all you have to do is change a color of a bottle and few chemicals in the liquid.

I thought I would love this fragrance based on the accord of woody, but I'm beginning to think I am not a fan of sandalwood. The sandalwood combined with the vetiver in this just gives it too much of a deep vibe for me, if that makes sense. It would be lovely for other people who like stronger fragrances and love sandalwood.

This is like floral soap with some incense in it, there is something "old" about too, not sure what. I can absolutely see how someone else might like this, i'm just not into woody scents at all .. I LOVE the bottle though, but that's not enough to make me go get a big one.

I tried a sample of DK Woman edp without a clue as to the type of fragrance or the notes. The initial note was something I didn't like, a slap sharp of aldehyde: it disappeared quickly. The second time I tried this scent, there was no irritating top note at all: this was a brand new sample. Then comes a beautiful note of orange blossom or lily backed by an aromatic note that seems slightly citrusy, woody yet fresh. If this is the vetiver, I love it. The image that pops into my head is A Midsummer's Night Dream, with Titiania and her court of fairies. Not the giggly Disney kind of fairies, but elegant, alluring, yet mysterious and other worldly. There is no mustiness, and there's some rich fruitiness that I suspect are notes not listed in the description. I would never have tried this scent because it was described as woody and aromatic, and I don't judge fragrances as 'male' or 'female'. I want a something different and unique, and this definitely is that in a very satisfying way. The middle notes continue to expand, with some tingly sensation in my nose which I would guess is the aromatic element. The sweet floral is subdued, and a full, soft only slightly powdery aromatic stays down to the end. I absolutely enjoyed this and am seriously considering a full bottle. The only small note I miss is a little touch of a citrus or something green to add some intrigue and complexity to the final drydown. This is lovely and warm; I feel it is a welcoming, enfolding scent with good sillage and medium longevity. I have to qualify this by stating my skin absorbs fragrance very quickly and longevity is always a problem except with the 80's type sillage monsters. If you have normal skin, this scent should have very good sillage and longevity.

After an intense shopping trip to Nordstrom's yesterday, I came home with a bottle of Chanel Coco Noir which I had pre-ordered and a large sample of this-Donna Karan Woman. The Noir disappeared after about 5 hours and I couldn't wait to try this out for a test spin. I think it's lovely! Unfortunately, the Noir gave me a splitting headache, so testing it wasn't fun. But this fragrance is much softer IMO and I love the bottle. The comparison of the bottle to a Swiffer mop handle brought a chuckle-but I find it beautiful-almost like a modern sculpture. I don't care for Cashmere Mist, so I was reluctant to purchase a bottle until I had tested this at least twice. We'll see how it develops as the evening progresses. It's so much fun to come home with samples and "play" with them. First I spritz and let it dry for a bit-sniffing every five minutes or so checking out the different notes and after a few hours-I do my research on this great site and see what other fragranistas are saying. My olfactories have aged, so I don't detect the different notes as easily as I once did, so I'm sometimes very surprised to read the descriptions of the fragrances I'm testing. It's all great fun-part of the joy of fragrance. I didn't have the luxury of doing this when I was raising my three boys-there was always something else going on and I seemed to be constantly washing my hands. But now, in retirement, I'm able to lay around and sniff! Such luxury! I also do not find a chemical edge to this scent. Very nice, very nice indeed! Certainly worth a trip for a sample. Will I purchase a bottle? It depends on longevity and dry-down. So far I love it. We shall see.

"Woman fragrance carries a positive message from the designer to women to feel good about themselves no matter what". I can definitely see a self-assured woman wearing this scent even though it is not in-your-face "powerful" regarding notes or projection. It instantly reminds me of a type of city gal who would manage a modern art gallery and live in a minimalist loft in which she would teach art classes on the side. She's structured and knowledgeable, but she's also approachable. If I were to sniff this with my eyes closed I would have guessed it was geared for a male, or at least for unisex use, even though it's not quite like any popular ozonic, citrusy, spicy, modern male fragrances in particular. Sweet or "cozy" scent lovers will have a tricky time trying to snuggle up to Donna Karan Woman... On me, vetiver and sandalwood stay true from start to finish. Vetiver adds and element of citrus and faint smoke/earth to the composition. "Artsy." The sandalwood, while rich, isn't "milky". It does a nice job of smoothing out an otherwise sharp, woody composition, though. I wish my skin pulled more orange blossom, as I detect none. After 4 hours this is completely gone from my skin. All in all, an interesting fragrance!

After reading all the reviews on here, my curiosity got the best of me so I snagged a bottle on eBay for a reasonable price. This is interesting but I'm not sure if I like it enough to put it in my rotation. First off, this is definitely unisex and it smells niche and expensive. It reminds me of how a freshly washed white cotton T shirt smells coming out of the dryer. This is clean, soft, light and faintly woody and faintly soapy. Longevity and projection is very good. As a women's fragrance, it's really unique and maybe it was ahead of its time (it is now discontinued so it was not a success when launched). The dry down to me is a dead wringer for Dior Sauvage, so I understand how some call this masculine. As a guy I can easily wear this, but its just not my type of fragrance, but I'm not a fan of Dior Sauvage either. I respect this scent more than I actually like it, but I understand the cult following this one has as the same time. As a fragrance affectionado WOMAN gets my kudos for originality.

Update to my previous comments: Although this is a lovely fragrance, I will not be purchasing. It lasted about 2 hours on me and I made the mistake of spraying it in the same room as my husband. He got up and left the room, commenting on that "acrid" smell. Well, I can't very well purchase a fragrance that clears the room. Personally-I still like it, despite what his opinion is, but I just can't buy everything, and I did get a splitting headache the afternoon I used it. Whether or not the perfume gave me the headache-I can't say for sure. But there are too many negatives for me to purchase. Too bad, the bottle would have really looked good with my collection! But it is worth a try, perhaps others will have better luck with it than I did!

I went to Nordstrom's to sniff this one out. One spray and this pungent note immediatley assailed my senses. Was it the sandalwood? I love sandalwood, but for some reason, I had a really hard time loving this one,even after it dried down.There is a really strong note in fragrances like this that just dominates..I wish my nose were more sophisticated so I could name it.I have worn the orginal Donna Karan (loved it), Chaos (loved) and Tom Ford's Black Violet (heavy stuff)AND Black Cashmere (ok), so I love the spicy, darker scents, but Woman clung to me tighter than a codependent ex-boyfriend. Have to give it a thumbs down.

I had high hopes for this, but was disappointed in the end. It starts of really interesting and not at all like the candy/fruit/flower bombs popular now. The opening is citrus, woody, possibly a bit of vanilla. After an hour all I smell is wood, as if I rubbed my skin with freshly cut oak. Strange and much more masculine than I expected. After 2 hours the wood is gone and all that remains is a generic sweet-ish scent on my skin. Nothing left of the perfume on my clothes at all. Oh well... at least I didn't buy a bottle - I received a carded spray sample in a random sample mix purchased on EBay.

This fragrance is very unique albeit masculine for a women's scent. From the initial first spray it screams unisex woodsy refinement . This scent is definitely not for the average everyday scentualist. A man can can for sure pull this off without a second though. Quite expensive online for whatnot is but found a cheap bottle on ebay for 24.99. Definitely give this a whirl of you like earthy musky woodsy unisex scents which lean more masculine. A very good creation and departure from the usual Fruitchouli scents of today

I have a small sample bottle of this. Not really paying attention, I went to apply thinking it was a rollerball. Needless to say, more than half of the bottle went running down my arm. So really, this is not a fair review of how it would normally be applied, but after being soaked in this scent, I find that it is *extremely* masculine. Vetiver to the max. I agree with thatsmr2usir, "...this smells VERY UNISEX! Almost completely masculine." Men would be quite comfortable wearing "DK Woman"

I guess it should be considered "unisex," but the composition is strange. There is a somewhat watery texture, but it's also a bit green, a bit woody, etc. I think it may be a bit too blended for my tastes, and I find it more interesting than pleasant, though it's not outright unpleasant. It's the kind of scent that I'll probably have to wear a few times before I'll know if it can be enjoyed or not. UPDATE: The drydown reminds me of a smoother, less "masculine" X-Centric by Dunhill.

I purchased a FB of DK Woman on Ebay, it is amazing. This bottle would better illustrate Alien; it's twisted and beautiful. I have been looking for a unique stand out scent, and this is it. The middle notes are rich and dense, and I don't see how this is could be considered not a female scent as anyone could wear it if it appeals to you. I have Pink Sugar and I love that too, so if you have diverse tastes in fragrance give this a try.

What a lovely sophisticated scent. It isn't the usual for a woman's scent and that's what makes it so intriguing. I love woody scents myself so this was a definite buy for me -- creamy sandalwood with smoky vetiver on top. Beautiful representations of the notes. I don't get the orange blossom, woody all the way through. I suppose it might be masculine but if you like woody scents you owe it to yourself to at least give it a sniff.

Yeah, not a fan of the bottle! However, this was a great blind buy, based off of your reviews (thank you!) and the notes listed. At first spray, there is a slight burst of citrus (orange blossom) and within minutes it calms down warmly to an almost incensed masculine dry down. I'm enjoying this scent and recommend it to all who like the woody type, unisex fragrances. I think it's very similar to Ellen Tracy by Ellen Tracy.
