Candy Rush

Longevity: In milan heat, I get around 10 hours with strong projection, transitioning to more of a skin scent between hours 11–14. Sillage: Very good. It leaves a noticeable scent trail. Gender: it is feminine leaning, but more unisex than something like Bianco Latte. Occation: It's a little too bold and gourmand for a formal work environment (for men imo). But works for everything else. Price: good value if you can buy in store. At €260 for 90ml, with 10% tax-free, it's genuinely good value given the longevity and sillage. But i see from other comments that it cost 500€ which i would never pay for a fragrance. Smell: Wonderful and addictive, and clearly distinct from Paper and Skin. In simple terms, it smells similar to cotton candy, but it's not sickly sweet in the slightest. As a man, some feminine fragrances can be so sweet they're overwhelming, but this is nothing like that. I haven't tried LDBS so I can't draw that comparison, but for me this felt genuinely unique. I've never encountered anything quite like it. With a 32% oil concentration, it radiates beautifully off the skin and earns every bit of its longevity. A 10/10 true headturner that I'd 100% recommend to both men and women as long as you're buying it in store at the right price. No perfume is worth €500 in my opinion. Candy Rush is Love, Don't Be Shy on steroids. Even after a shower, I could still smell it. The performance is incredible. If you're a fan of the Love, Don't Be Shy DNA, this one is beautiful and definitely worth experiencing. I don't really understand the comparisons to Scarlet Sands. Maybe they're fourth cousins once removed, but to my nose, the resemblance is minimal.

I never thought I wanted my perfume to smell of marshmallows, but apparently I do! Love this. Fluffy, light, cloudy marshmallows. Soft. Not juvenile, not too gourmand.

WAY better than LDBS, I'm OBSESSED; one spray lasted 9 hours on my wrist. I absolutely will be picking this up in Paris.

Agreeing with daehyma336 I’m no stranger to buying fragrances overseas and paying tariffs but this one was extra large, $170 due to it being aluminum vs a more expensive perfume I bought a month ago in a glass bottle that I paid $50 in duties for. That coupled with the $80 shipping and tax made this an over $500 fragrance and judging it from that perspective, no it’s not worth it but it is a really pretty fragrance. I just it got an hour ago so I’m going to wear it on skin running errands today as right now I’ve only just sprayed it on a test strip, so I want to give it a good wear test before I give it a proper full review but it’s definitely pretty and strong performing I believe from the test strip alone. On paper it definitely has similarities to LDBS and Oriana more to the LDBS side imo as Oriana gives more of a laundry detergent vibe to me (in a good way) but I don’t get that from Candy Rush, but yes like a better version of LDBS with tweaks like I do smell the iris. Seems like an easy reach, sweet, pretty girl, compliment getting type of scent with way better performance than the latter perfumes I mentioned but I will update my review after actually wearing it on skin. Update: Wore it to run errands and also to the gym and now wearing it again to bed. I did get a compliment while I was out. It’s easy to like and a familiar dna. I still feel like it’s like LDBS but after wearing it on skin I notice the differences. Candy Rush is less sickly syrupy sweet, still floral but is more marshmallow heavy and more musky, slightly soapy even. It’s really pretty. The ambroxan in the first spray was a little much for me honestly but it subsided really quickly and blended in well to where it didn’t bother me at all. As someone who hates ambroxan heavy scents I’m glad it didn’t overwhelm. Wearing it to bed atm I didn’t smell the ambroxan much at all after I sprayed it, I think maybe the fragrance settled a bit after traveling. Either way it doesn’t overwhelm the composition so that’s nice. This is a strong fragrance just like I thought it would be considering how much it filled my room just from the test strip. It’s much stronger than LDBD, Oriana or any I’ve tried in this category including Zucchero Neroli which has decent performance. As someone who’s never really jived fully with LDBS simply because I find that it’s too cloying and doesn’t perform well at all, this is perfect for me! However if you would have told me I’d be paying over $500 for this in the end I probably wouldn’t have bought it, it’s pretty but not unique enough to warrant the cost. Price aside, it’s a beautiful scent that revisits a familiar DNA and makes it better both in composition and performance and I’m happy to have it in my collection.

Meh... I’ve smelled this again and again... Not to rain on this parade because Candy Rush is indeed a beautiful fragrance where the notes scream quality for sure. But... I’m not a fan of Oriana and I hate LDBS (the original). For some reason, I thought Candy Rush would be more iris and marshmallow forward. Instead, I get an overwhelming amount of orange blossom and ambroxan with no sweetness and no musks to speak of...I suppose I should blame my own skin? Ugh 😑 And at the price I forked out for this, it’s safe to say I’m not thrilled by it...my own fault, of course, for blind buying it. When will I ever learn??😂😂 Edit: I have to add that the longevity on this one is phenomenal!! 12+ hours on my skin and it will linger on my clothes until I put them in the wash!! Another Edit: I decluttered it 😬😬

Neah fam..i don't like this, does not hold a candle to LDBS. I am bummed and glad at the same time. Bummed because Patrice Revillard is my fav perfumer, but glad I was patient enough to wait for a decant to be available. I can't imagine paying $500 usd for this lmaooooooooo. Well we all know from the whole Swatch saga that 90% of people have no patience lol. But at the same time I can't complain because without ya'll I would not be able to get a sample lol. It's not bad though, let me set it straight. It just slightly sweet with an annoying musk lingering in the background. Barely smell any florals. This is very much not what I am used to from Patrice.

This was a disappointment for me. I should’ve trusted my instincts and not fallen for the hype. To me it smells medicinal and dusty and cheap. I don’t know what else to say.

This fragrance definitely shares some of the opening DNA of Love, Don't Be Shy, with that familiar marshmallow-neroli sweetness. However, it quickly comes into its own during the drydown, evolving into an airy, dry but sweet sandalwood. What I enjoy most about Candy Rush is how it manages to be sweet without getting too syrupy, sticky or cloying like other fragrances that share the LDBS profile. This also has a ton of lift to it with the ambroxan, so this would make a great layering pair with other florals. Overall, this is a solid release for anyone looking for a sweet marshmallow fragrance centered around dry sandalwood rather than gourmand heaviness.

It’s Oriana or LDBS and between the cost AND the duties we are hit with to get it here to the states, I really cannot stress enough to tell you to not do it. It is entirely too costly to justify when it’s not that different. The fragrance is beautiful. Perfection. But, ultimately, it cost me $528. $300 bottle, shipping and tax $83, duties and fees $170. I realize that this should be a review about the fragrance. But I’m just warning you that it’s costly currently to get it here. But I did rate it based on the fragrance to be fair.

Unfortunately this fragrance is just not for me. I should have known, considering something in both LDBS and Oriana didn't sit right with me either. This fragrance is similar to LDBS, but not so syrupy sweet, which I do like. There is definitely a stronger presence of the iris, ambroxan, and musk than LDBS. If you know you love the Sintra, LDBS, Oriana profile and are looking for something a little less tooth achingly sweet, this would be something to get your nose on.

Personally I love this! Does it remind you of LDBS, yes kinda initially but it takes an entirely different direction after the initial top notes wear off. You get a musky ambroxan style marshmallow that continues to float in the air. To my nose it reads dusty kinda like vanilla powder does but with marshmallow. This will be great in the heat i think. It more reminds me of Ella K Orchid K.

The scent is exactly what you should expect from the notes, in the best way possible. Way more refined and complex than LDBS with pronounced tonka and iris accords in the drydown.
