The most prominent notes are missing here. Iris is dominant in the opening, and then there’s a lot of rose, given some depth by oud, and a lovely subtle patchouli and creamy sandalwood underneath. The resins (Elemi and labdanum) are faintly glowing in the background, just adding a bit of warmth without making themselves known individually. These notes I pick up on are all on the brand website (as are some others also missing on fragrantica), and I’m certain I smelled the right perfume, as I sampled it in store and took home a sample made straight from the brand tester as well. I see these completely erratic note pyramids more and more often on here for newer perfumes from smaller houses - what is happening?

This scent (with too long and weird name, marketing people, what have you been smoking? a normal non-French speaking person would never remember it!!) is a typical amber/resinous scent. I've smelled hundreds of these, i don't wear any of this type, but the closes would be Baudelarie by Byredo (which I think is discontinued now). Leaning masculine for my taste. This is not a passant, the person must have clicked on a wrong scent!

With these notes, I love it. My notes! The oud does lean masculine, and if I were to buy this genre (I have and had so many already) I would chose one without a strong oud but, I do love this. Resinous, smoky, spicy. I do prefer a slightly more labdanum heaviness and woodchip undertones (rather than the oud), but love it nonetheless. Second testing: smells very makeup bag - powdery even.
