For a similar DNA done more punchy way way before, look for Kenzo Power (Olivier Polge) for men. The violet, nondescript florals, cardamom and possible nutmeg (though not listed) are spot on, creating a similar profile. This same profile reminds me of the very first Zara fragrance I owned back in the days, Zara Man 2000 (Alberto Morillas). This is a refined, not-in-your-face scent which I like due to positive associations, and even objectively speaking I think it's a classy formula and will surely test it further with a sample. Oh and not sure what those "bad longevity/performance" reviews are about, are you all using nostril-terrorizing florals and woody ambers? This has perfectly acceptable tenacity and longevity on both paper and skin, if you spray this perfume 2-3 times, I'm pretty sure I will smell it on you for at least 8 hours. What have expectations come to in these times...

I think this beauty is underrated. It is hard to describe, other than it's a beautiful combination of soft florals with a touch of spice, juicy citrus and very soft creamy base. I could pick up the citruses, soft spice, narcissus without even looking at the notes. Thought there are other soft florals but they are well blended. Very versatile, you can wear it to the office or on a date, and pretty much all year round. It is not a beast mode fragrance and doesn't last forever, but I don't get nose blind and it does stay with me for a few good hours. For the price I wouldn't mind having to refresh it throughout the day, especially that it is not headache inducing or overpowering upon spraying.

i absolutely adore this fragrance. i've tried this and sur tes levres and adored both, but this is definitely my favorite. it's a smooth, powdery floral that i think can work for both men and women. almost has elements of some blue fragrances in the opening with the grapefruit note, but it's embedded in these luscious, beautiful flowers. dries down so well, with a woody floral base that's iris heavy but not overly powdery or harsh. the iris certainly doesn't dominate in the way that it does in more masculine florals, and it makes for a lovely, sensual fragrance that i cannot stop smelling. unfortunately, the performance is a bit poor, but that's really my only gripe.

Delicate and comforting, easy and enjoyable to wear. The citrus is mildly sweet with no sharpness and the florals are subtle and well balanced. I reach for this whenever I just want something comfortable and calming and have been using it year round. Also I love the ergonomic design of the bottle and the heavy magnetic lid - very nice to use. Edited to add I’m finding this has good longevity on me, especially for an EDT. One of my favourites now.

I am not a floral perfume person but in real life I love lilac so I wanted to try this one. I also found the clementine to be an interesting addition & I love musk & sandalwood. Overall this is a really pretty scent for sure. Not cloying. It does have a soapy clean vibe & felt like a good after shower or before bed scent. You couldn’t offend anyone with this scent. I wouldn’t purchase for the cost because the longevity is lacking but enjoyed using up my sample.

Grapefruit splash, but backed by woody iris/lilac, (wish there was more iris & lilac is so penetrating) & cedar. The musk is almost soapy: think Maya .Maja Myrurgia. It's comforting, clean, & the only element that gives a bit of exotic flavour is the cardamon, but it's used judiciously. Nothing earth-shattering, but smells lovely for an hour or so.

Tested it at the same time as "À cœur perdu. L.B." which is also a citrusy floral but with more character IMO. I'm not a fan of clean scents though, so if it's your thing then you might love it. To me this was just a pleasant fragrance.

Slightly spicy smooth florals. I can’t pick up any distinct lilac and I also get lavender that adds this calming touch to the fragrance. It’s very likable and relaxing. I would wear this as a bedtime scent.

Nice, classic profile. I ordered a sample thinking it would be an ethereal, watery, modern floral. Not what I'm getting from this. At all. It smells vintage, green, slightly barnyard-y (narcissus), perhaps a hint of leather. Not smell-alikes but makes me think of L'Heure Exquise Annick Goutal, Chanel Cuir de Russie, maybe even an animalic vintage Chanel no 5. This is not young, fresh, modern, despite the updated line and packaging for d'Orsay. If you like those kinds of things, this might be up your alley. I went through a vintage phase, used to prefer classics to modern perfumes. Something shifted and I'm now in a modern phase taste-wise. I would have loved this 10 years ago...

Not your go-to for bold evenings or romantic dates, but perfect for winding down, lounging, or those moments when a whisper of scent is all you need—like in a hospital, a classroom, or any place where fragrance is meant to be understated, yet quietly uplifting.

This is a pick me up scent. It has zero longevity on me. I mean, I seriously get maybe 30 minutes of wear. I don't think it's me becoming nose blind to it. My mom sprayed it on her wrist and within 10 minutes neither of us could smell it. I wanted her to try it because she loves the smell of lilacs. It's a beautiful fragrance with purple florals, citrus, cardamom, and a feminine woody base. Sadly, it disappears WAY too fast. If it could be reworked to even last 2 hours, I would buy it. This line is great with only being $120 for 50mL. In the niche world, for French perfumery, that's a steal. Smells like Ivory Soap.

A common scent of iris and lilac, with a slight vintage nuance (perhaps narcissus) reminiscent of baby powder or soap. If Chloe's Love had less of a cinnamon and spicy nuance and was less powdery, it would smell like this.

If you like the clean girl perfume, this is a clean lady perfume. Smells like Nivea body cream that's a tad more mature. It's kind of boring, and I'm learning that powdery makeup scent just isn't my cup of tea.

Too light and barely there. it is nice for a nighttime fragrance where you spray your sheets and nightclothes. Zero longevity and nothing thrilling for me.

Pretty weak opening. I smell alcohol, lemon, lavender, white musk and cedar. As it develops it settles into something soft and pleasant, an abstract springtime musk. It’s here that I smell spicy green cardamom blended into an accord of iris and pale woods. It’s a lovely skin scent, delicate. Reminds me of a much lighter, simpler version of Oriza Legrand Cuir d’ l’aigle Russe. 2 out of 5.

It's nice. It smells good. But it is another from D'Orsay that is just so boring! Another perfume for people who are don't like perfume. A very prominent clementine opening, followed by "pretty flowers" like lilac and daffodil. A little green. Then it's gone. A lot of these D'Orsay are like Jo Malone colognes... but with less personality.

Wow. This is true real florals. It then settles into a cream like silk. The faintest powder smell. I’m blown away. This is a stunner. What I’ve been searching for. If you’re a clean scent lover, elevated, you can 100% blind buy this. I did and what a joy!

Intersting combo, that I don't think I've come across thus far: I get lilac-iris mostly, but also some zesty greens and clean(ish) musc. Powdery, fresh and subtle, a casual day wear scent.

Is this only in EDT? I love it but it is so soft and fleeting. Would love in a perfume or extract concentration. Lovely just to soft.
