Le Nomade

I ordered some D'Orsay samples from a site that didn't indicate the so-called "gender" of the scents. I bought Le Nomade based strictly on its notes, and didn't realize it was marketed as a men's scent until I checked Fragrantica. :-) That being said, if the notes on this appeal to you, don't hesitate to give it a try whether you're male or female. This one smells gorgeous on my husband, and also smells nice on me. Don't fear the berries and fruits. This one is not a fruity scent. It opens with a burst of sour citrus and herbs that led me to believe it was going to play out as a traditional eau de cologne. Minutes later, it turned to a soft, gorgeous floral woody musk with noticeable cedar and vetiver. It's a touch powdery, with gentle sillage that stays close to the skin but has decent longevity. Great scent for office and daytime, for either gender.

This is a very safe, light, pleasant, versatile masculine scent suitable for spring/fall and summer. Dominant notes are vetiver, geranium, very mild but noticeable cardamom and strong sage. It reminds me the classic Cartier Declaration but done in a modern way with the pronounced note of sage. Good longevity, moderate projection.

although this is not one of the most famous perfumes in the world I think it's very nice.I'm in love with the fruity notes mixed with spices.then it becomes a bit bitter which is not bad for a male fragrance and finally the base notes are exactly a reminder of hugo boss hugo(F) which means it smells somehow feminine. the perfume was introduced at the end of 2001 and that was the time I got a chance to smell it and receive a free simple. the bottle is simple,just like the calm * reserved man who's gonna wear it. I was always wondering why no body posts about this fragrance and now I got the chance to write something over here:)

A toned down version of Declaration. A short-lived spicy-woody concoction that has a quite catching opening but, overall, it's far from being original or particularly interesting. My biggest disappointment comes with the drydown (that occours pretty soon), where Le Nomade turns to a pale and clean woody-musk that's way too generic. Not completely bad but let's face it, in this genre we can have much better options. Rating: 5-5.5/10
