Ambery Oakwood

I'd say it's a touch sweeter than its inspiration, leaning a bit more feminine, but it's not cloyingly sweet or vanilla, which I appreciate. I also understand why people draw similarities to apple pie, but I like that it's not really giving Kayali's apple fragrance, or B&BW apple. I would say it's just some ambiguous spiced, cooked fruit, or perhaps even just a sugary amber. As someone who doesn't normally do gourmands-- it's delightfully complex compared to much of the market. This is great for layering, or on its own. I can't speak to the longevity of Angel's Share because I've only sampled it a handful of times on my skin, and I don't entirely recall how long the one spray lasted. However, I've heard its projection and longevity is pretty unmatched. This one's probably not there, but I will say that it's impressive for the price. It sticks on my skin for a few hours, but oh my, it stays on my clothes for days until it's been washed. I'm not even sure what it is that sticks to fabric so well, but it does. I like layering it, so sometimes I'll just spray it on my clothes and another frag on my skin, and it's quite lovely that way, especially for cozying up these colder months.

This is such a fantastic fall and winter scent. Absolutely unisex, doesn't lean more either way for me. It doesn't project as much as I'd like after it settles, but I can definitely smell whiffs on me and it's delicious. My boyfriend really enjoys it too. The cinnamon is definitely strong but the myrrh cuts it and gives it a more rounded, savory quality. I get cinnamon, myrrh, tonka bean, vanilla and cognac most prominently, but there's also a faintly smokey quality in there that really makes it for me. It's sweet without being cloying (when worn in cooler weather) and just gives me ALL the fall vibes. Just makes me want a hot apple cider. It's quickly becoming a new favorite.

I have this and Angel's Share and I prefer this by far. This is sweet, smoothly blended and warm. The longevity is also excellent and it clings to your clothing. The base notes (tonka, praline and vanilla) come through strongly and the way they blend with the cognac and cinnamon is perfect in my opinion. After wearing this for three days, I ordered two backup bottles. This is an easy buy if you like Angel's Share but wish it was sweeter.

Smells like walking into a warm, perfectly curated, shabby chic boutique on an evening right around Christmas. I love it, I just wish there were more apple in the fruits. I haven’t tried the inspiration so can’t speak to that, but I do like the Dossier scents I have tried.

Opens with a boozy sweet smell that does turn into an apple pie smell surprisingly. About 2-3hrs of projection and over 12hrs+ of longevity on hydrated skin with apple pie persisting all the way through. Not really picking up the coffee notes on initial wear.

beautifully complex and so deliciously sexy; it screams "eat me" i havent had the chance to smell angel's share, but if its anything like this, i understand the hype

As someone who absolutely loves Angel's Share, this one comes pretty close. It has a similar rich, ambery sweetness and the tonka comes through in a similar way, but I find that this one has a tangier, sharp, fruity quality that Angel's Share doesn't have. I like them both and Dossier's is a great dupe, but I do prefer Kilian's. Angel's Share has a deeper, more complex sweetness and a beautiful cinnamon note that isn't quite as decadent here. For the value though, it's really hard to beat.

On me, this smells like a more masculine and aggressive version of Angels Share. I can smell the woody and cinnamony notes, but I don't get the apple pie smell that made me love the original Kilian fragrance. I think this is still a unisex scent, but it's not as sweet as the original.
