Aromatic Pineapple

I would say this is a 50-60% dupe. The profile is very different, but if you like Dossier's Aromatic Pineapple you will likely enjoy YSL Y EDP. Think of it as less of a dupe and more of an intro 😂 Hard to put on too much, unoffensive, and you will likely need to reapply. Not necessarily a signature scent, but one you can spray on when you're in a hurry to go to work, school, errands, and wherever else the day takes you. Edit: Forgot to say, this has been my first and only blind buy. Would I buy it from the store after testing? Likely I would, but not with 100% confience. However for the price, it is likely to not be a dissapointment for most.

Possibly the best rendition of Y EDP out there. The substitution of pineapple for apple make it’s slightly different, but I love it for that. I’ve tried a few of dossiers dupes and all of them have been damn near spot on. Their version of acqua di Gio is also very good and outperforms the original.

Best fragrance from dossier in my opinion. It's a twist just like other dossier fragrances but this has the nice woodiness from the og but just tones down the sweetness. If you want YSL Y on a budget this will blow any other dupe out the water. Especially scent mogs Fakhar.

Smells like a fresh pineapple. I over sprayed and I still do not smell the fragrance though, but my nose is stuffy. It will be a better performer in warmer months, it is literally 30 degrees outside. I love the scent and picked it up at Walmart for 30 dollars.

The ginger in this stands out well with the cedar and pineapple and overall this is a solid good performing fragrance.

Dossier Aromatic Pineapple is a mix of Yves Saint Laurent Y (2017) and Y Eau De Parfum with some Y Le Parfum (the original) to it since Le Parfum was a stronger Y (eau de toilette.) I am not beating around the bush here. It is what it is. Aromatic Pineapple isn't as pineapple-y as you'd think. For as to why I say this is in-between Y and Y EDP or Y Le Parfum (the original), let's look at the notes. The original Y had top notes of white aldehydes, bergamot, mint, and ginger; mid notes of apple, sage, pineapple, geranium (absolute), and violet leaf, and base notes of ambergris, incense, fir balsam, vetiver, cedar and musk. The reformulated Y has top notes of bergamot (essence), aldehydes, and ginger (essence;) mid notes of French lavender, Madagascarian geranium, and Provencian clary sage, and base notes of cedar (essence,) Boswellian frankincense, ambergris, and vanilla. Y EDP has top notes of bergamot, ginger, and apple; mid notes of sage, geranium, and juniper berries; and base notes of vetiver, cedar, tonka, amber wood, and olibanum. The original Y Le Parfum had top notes of grapefruit, apple accord, ginger, and aldehydes; mid notes of sage, lavender essence, and geranium absolute; and base notes of cedar, olibanum, tonka, and patchouli (essence.) This Dossier clone has notes consistent with all of these forms of the Y DNA within it. These notes are top notes of bergamot, ginger and pineapple; middle notes of juniper berry, clary sage and geranium; and base notes of amberwood, cedarwood and olibanum. The pineapple is noticable (imagine that) which is in the original Y. The mid is consistent with the the various Y with that clary sage and geranium. The base is woody with no discernable olibanum to my nose. I found that consistent with Y too. This is a brighter version of Y Eau de Parfum mixed with components of Y original especially up top. I like it and it extends use of Y EDT. I find it works in similar situations to Y which is any occasion in spring, summer and warmer fall days except for clubbing. I cannot say this is a good clubbing scent at all. Y Le Parfum is maybe the closest in the line or perhaps going to an Invictus (another similar fragrance to the DNA.) Overall if you miss the original Y's, this is not a bad option. Yves Saint Laurent seems to be reformulating the entire line so if you like it, this really gives the feel of the older Y releases. I give Aromatic Pineapple a 7.8 out of 10 for that reason.

For me this was good but not great ! Still a very solid scent but unfortunately this is a scent DNA I like on others but it just doesn't vibe with my skin chemistry Aromatic pineapple opens up very fruity,fresh,juice and pleasant ! I REALLY enjoy the opening and the pineapple is a very cool and pleasant twist on the DNA. On my skin however, this starts to lose the magic of the opening and the scent is still pleasant but starts to fall a bit flat. Still very pleasant but just not as good as the opening. Performance on this is actually very good as it lasts 6/8 hours with decent projection but a very nice sillage . One thing this scent has going for it is its versatility! The Y DNA was always weird to me as it smells like a summer scent but can be very dense and cloying in the heat. This is more fresh so it works for both colder and warmer weather !! Overall rating -7 out of 10 !! A VERY solid fragrance but unfortunately not's favorite

It’s good. My only complaint is that it’s a little bit expensive for such a small bottle. When it comes to dupes there’s so many options for crazy presentations and big bottles and this one doesn’t beat those. It kinda makes up for it in the smell tho. It smells like a designer fragrance. Fresh and citrusy. People say it’s better for winter but I honestly think this is a pretty good daily wear. The mag cap is a plus and the atomizer is pretty nice too. I would recommend this for anyone trying to smell fresh. One final note, it does a good job of blending in with ur natural musk, instead of trying to cover it

So I got this fragrance the other day and I will say it is a close dupe of the YSL Y edp. The scent is a bit generic and nothing crazy new or exciting but it is reliable and a good easy grab and go-to. Off my skin this fragrance projects for like the first 30 minutes and then drops off to a skin scent. Also the longevity off my skin has been rougly 3-4 hours. So definitely need to reapply throughout the day, but for the price I don't think it's a waste to spray more. I would say its an easy blind buy if you want a reliable scent that does the job and is mass appealing.

I 100% bought this cause i don’t have money for ysl y. Anyway it’s actually really good but changing the apple note for pineapple did add a difference. at first the initial sprays can seem strong and headache inducing. the fragrance does a good job at maintaining the same smell even in the dry down and i would say the dry down is very similar or even 1:1 to ysl y. i think i can also say that the fragrance is versatile and can be used all year round. for the price, it’s a pretty good buy. good for having it in a bag or satchel since the bottle is pretty small.

as someone who owns the real YSL Y EDP, I can say that this dupe is extremely accurate and actually very long lasting just like the real version but the only thing that it's missing is the apple/aldehyde notes that are in YSL Y - otherwise it is a decent (inspired) clone for $25-30 bucks.. but it seems redundant when you can get the real thing for $75 bucks - it does get the job done though..

Very clean noticeable scent. Can be easy to overdo and headache inducing if you don't use modestly. The geranium and olibanum notes are very strong. I rather more of the fruit notes in the middle than floral notes to be honest. But for $28, I can't complain. This would be good to pair with something spicy or smokey

Smells generic, like something you have smelled a thousand times, but very rounded. Doesn't project for a long time, but the original doesn't either according to some reviews here. Definitely spray more then usual! Overall 7/10 good clone, good scent, just nothing special.

I like this much better than the original. Doesn’t have that caustic, burnt chemical smell like YSL Y. This is just pleasant, fresh, warm. Lasts long. You will get a compliment.

This is almost 1:1 compared to the original, except it's actually better, it doesn't have that synthetic, chemical smell in the opening.

It smells good. Vaguely sweet and fruity. Not bad for the money. I haven't smelled YSL's Y as a basis for comparison.

Back when I purchased this (many years ago when Dossier 1st start out and released this one) they didn't label it as a men's frag like it does now. The site even suggested this one to me from doing their survey so I blindly bought along with several others (unfortunately)... Most if not all of them I now realize are Men's or male leaning uni's, which is not generally my cup o'tea. I don't understand the notes at all... where is the pineapple and fruit? I get fresh for sure and it is a very nice scent... I get all the other notes, just no apple or pineapple. I might give to the hubs or maybe layer with a sweet tropical floral in the summer.

I was on a mission to find a fragrance that is a good easy reach. I purchased a sample of YSL Y and I thought it was decent, but wasn't overly impressed, at least not for the price. It's a good generic, easy reach for all seasons but that price....so I took a chance on Dossier AR. I actually like it more than YSL Y. It's a tad more youthful, but it smells better to me. A solid 7.5 out of 10. About 4-6 hours longevity, 2 ish hours of projection. Mission accomplished, I now have my easy reach fragrance.

Why do people say this is a dupe for YSL Y? 50% similar at best. Y doesn’t even have pineapple scent. I think it is just the power of marketing. And some of the articles and commenters are plants
