Citrus Matcha

smells very close to the matcha 26, albeit a little less "santal 33-esque" and a little more medicinal (to my nose at least). very creamy during the dry down, but not in a vanilla/cashmere kind of way, it's like smashing a fig against some cedarwood and placed a bunch of vetiver on top. i smell no matcha in this fragrance, and only trace amounts of bitter orange during the initial spray. if you're familiar with santal 33 and its trillions of clones, this fragrance is like a more dreamy, smooth, quiet, and almost ethereal version of that. longevity is okay, and the projectivity is not too strong, it's a skin scent for sure after a few minutes, but yea its pretty good :3

This review is from wearing it on skin for several hours. This is a bitter orange, vetiver, cedar fragrance tamed with fig and lemon. The notes are married and loud in the beginning, but dry down very soft and pleasant. This is a true wood scent that will likely smell 'spa like' and 'herbal' to most noses. If you like the OG, Matcha 26, and/or herbal spa smells, you will likely enjoy this scent.

This is such a creamy matcha, a hint of citrus but not overpowering. I cannot compare it to The Matcha 26 but I love this so much that i bought 2. I love the creaminess of it so much that I even wear it to bed.

This doesn't last that long for me, so I tend to layer it with a musk to extend the longevity but so far this is the only matcha fragrance that I actually like! All the rest for me are unwearable!

I personally really like this one. I got it because I liked the sound of Thé Matcha 26, but didn’t want to pay the price point. For me, I mostly smell fig and citrus, with a slight earthiness from the matcha and woodiness from the cedar. The matcha doesn’t smell like matcha, but instead just adds a little depth. I got a chance to smell Thé Matcha 26 recently to compare them, and I didn’t think they smelled exactly similar, although I could see how this was duping that. I think I actually prefer this one since it was a bit fruitier, compared to Le Labo being more like... Sophisticated?

I blind bought this thinking I was going to get a slightly fresh tea matcha. What I got on first impressions, especially up close was this funky citrus smell, which yes, smells kind of like piss. However, that not very detectable when you're further away and when it dries down. If you're looking for a matcha scent I would say this is more citrus forward than matcha forward, not much matcha at all. Comes off as more of a green matcha than a creamy lactonic matcha.

Dossier Citrus Matcha. I really enjoy this fragrance. It's advertised as unisex and I believe that it is, however, it tends to lean more feminine to my nose. I pick up on the bitter orange right of the top which I enjoy, only problem is, it doesn't stick around very long. I do get some tea notes and it's there, but the green from the fig tends to be the star of the show. Longevity and projection aren't very good but overall, I enjoy the scent.

Starts off with citrus and matcha powder. The dry down it gets a little earthy like straw and dewey damp soil with citrus. I do get other reviews comparing it to santal 33 and also the slight pickle note. I dont get pickles or pee but can understand where it might get pickly to some. Overall I like it. Weirdly its clean and fresh like being outside after a spring shower.

Great matcha scent but the only reason why I dont 100 percent love it is that the opening is a very earthy green scent that just puts me off. The dry down on the other hand is a nice creamy, woody, matcha that makes it go from a 6/10 to a 9/10.

I am SO SAD. I love tea frags, fig, every note in here. I live in a fragrance desert without easy (or sometimes even possible) access to high-end and niche frags. I've been dying to smell this or thé matcha forever and finally bought the dossier version. Wellll....I've worn this a couple times since purchasing it just to test it out, but gave it a full wear tonight. Getting into bed, I pulled my comforter up and got a whiff of cat pee. I freaked thinking one of our cats wee-weed on our new comforter, but unfortunately, realized after a minute it was THIS. And came here to see others have mentioned it too. Wut?? WHERE is the pee note coming from?!!! As I've typed this, the pee-pee note has already mostly dissipated, but it's still very unsettling. I'm baffled. And sad. I'll see if I can stomach that long enough to keep this in rotation...

Did a side-by-side with The Matcha, and can say this is closely identical (although a coworker mistook this for Santal 33 on me :)). Loved the creamy drydown, but unfortunately got old pretty quick as a daily scent on me. This was heavier on the nose for me (less tea, more musk) vs Santal 33. On packaging: it's a pretty quality bottle and atomizer with a magnetic lid.

I recently got my nose on this and another couple from this brand. Don’t do it. I have yet to find a dupe company that can really make a dupe that performs?! I find dossier can nail down the initial spray yes, but the dry down isn’t ever the same and they ALL have this certain basic dossier smell?? It’s odd. Don’t do it it.

Yikes! I love many of the notes found in Citrus Matcha, but all I'm getting is sharp, somewhat pickle-like sandalwood and an unpleasantly sour fragrance overall. Perhaps it's just my body chemistry, but the scent is reminiscent of generic, woodsy men's body wash. Will be returning. :|

I get very little citrus or matcha from this one. Instead, the fig note is overwhelming and ruins this fragrance for me.

it smells like piss. like if you walk into a public restroom and the piss is combined with cleaning chemicals. it's just piss.

This is not close to the original. It just smells really annoying.

Okay so, my signature scent is thé matcha 26 and I will never stop re purchasing from le labo. However, I was curious one day about this dupe and I decided to give it an order cuz I could just return it if i wasn’t a fan, I also just wanted to have this on hand if god forbid anything happened to my bottle or if i wanted to carry this one with me to re-apply to save product. This arrived this morning and I have a few things to say since smelling it, first off this is nearly identical to the beloved original i was genuinely shocked also cuz of the reviews both here and on dossier saying its so far off that it isn’t even worth it? I dont understand that perspective but ok to each their own. I find that this one is slightly more citrus leaning which i don’t mind at all cuz it’s such a minor difference. Also the lasting power isn’t anything like the original which is understandable because it’s a dupe. This fragrance is perfect for what i intended to buy it for though which was reapplication/backup!

Bought a decant of le labo matcha 26 off scent split and loved it so much! I bought this so I can save up to by the real one later. To my nose this is very similar but not quite "identical". matcha 26 has more depth and pulls more woody on me, where as citrus matcha is way more citrus on the first spray. Its more light and airy and lacks the depth of le labo. I do get a slight fruity note from le labo on the initial spray but dossier is more of a bergamot/lemon type of citrus. And its not as strong. The dry down is soo similar tho. Matcha 26 is more stronger and longer lasting but I don't feel guilty respraying the dossier one so I guess that makes it up.

This is citrusy and very herbal to my skin. Not in a medicinal way but more like of spa-like scent. Very relaxing and calming. I can’t detect any matcha note in this. If you’re looking for a Matcha Latte scent, this ain’t for you. It’s not creamy nor lactonic.

I want to love this fragrance but it's straight dill pickles to my nose. Not nearly as much as Santal 33 but a softer, toned down dill pickles. I don't get pickles from Thé matcha for whatever reason.

I used to like this, but the longer I’ve had it the more I notice an unmistakeable “pissy” and unpleasant aroma. It’s a chop for me love....

This would be a decent duparooni for The Matcha if it wasn't for the peepee note in this :(
