Fruity Brown Sugar

I blind bought this and was worried because the comments on here are you either love or hate this. But luckily I was pleasantly suprised to really like this one. I think a more appropriate name for this would have been floral patchouli because its very patchouli forward but I'm a fan. Starts off bright and fruity/floral. I can luckily smell the raspberry note along with white florals. The berry note plus patchouli combo reminds me quite alot of the berry note in Blackberry Lily by 7 virtues. Very quickly this turns to a sweet but earthy patchouli. I'd even call it a slightly dirty patchouli smell but the sweetness and florals really balance it out and make it smell expensive. A very "perfumey" scent and it is very reminiscent of traditional scent structures like what you'd expect from dior. This is fun and flirty while also classic.

On my skin this is a citrus and brown sugar, patchouli-oakmoss bomb. I don't get any of the head notes but this is normal for my extremely dry skin. If you love patchouli and oakmoss, especially vintage 70s, you might like this. If your skin is quite dry and mature you may think modern chypre adjacent. I love it because of how it performs on my unusual skin chemistry. I personally wear this most often in the summer. This is when chypres perform the best. The heat really pulls the patchouli forward. When I spray this on a test strip I get some fruity waste of my time and energy. It's fruity but not in a Trésor la Nuit or even Erba Pura way. Immature. College student who parties a lot. Many times I wonder why we bother with reviews at all. Everyone's nose and skin chemistry are so different.

It’s been a long time since I smelled the real Mon Paris, but I remembered liking it when I worked at Ulta years ago so I figured this was a safe bet. Ngl, I love dossier because I can get several perfumes for the price of a designer one and I’m not made of money. Is it spot on the same? Probably not, but this $30 smells pretty dang good compared to $100. I love this one. Smells fresh and bright and lasts a long time on me.

parfait!! a great dupe, the drydown isn't quite as creamy as the original mon paris, but i actually quite enjoy it because it means that the top/heart notes of the fruitiness and woodiness stay all day. it's really hard for me to find woody fruity perfumes that don't turn into just straight vanilla at the end of the day, but this has a gorgeous herbal quality to it that makes it super unique and beautiful.

Love this, and it is so cheap! I get more sugar from this, compared to Mon Paris, and a sparkling champagne with berries. Strangely, I get more compliments from this than I do Mon Paris.

The fruit & brown sugar mix perfectly to form a great scent. Out of the 8 dossier perfumes i own this is an all time favorite.

From the first spray, I got a lot of bergamot but I couldn’t find any raspberry which was a bit disappointing as it’s part of the reason I wanted this perfume, but I ended up very happy with the drydown as it developed into a toasty blend of brown sugar and vanilla, reminiscent of a freshly made dessert or even a bakery. It’s sweet without smelling over sugary which I liked and I didn’t pick up a sunscreen/chemical note like some of the reviews said, but I do wonder what the overall scent would’ve been like with a more intense raspberry top note.

My favorite one of Dossier's dupes. Mon Paris is my favorite designer scent for summer and spring, but it's still decently wearable in winter and fall if you have a wardrobe to fit it. I haven't smelled the real Mon Paris in a few years now, but this scent is pretty close to what I remember. Lasts long enough for how much I payed for it, projects nicely however it doesn't stick to my skin the same way it sticks to my clothes (I tend to prefer spraying on my clothes since my skin is sensitive, but this doesn't really irritate my skin).

Dossier has become one of my top dupe brands. This perfume in particular is very much on the sweet side. When I spray it at work, people can smell it from metres away. For me, that is a good thing- and the dry down is so comforting as well. This is one of my most complimented perfumes, definitely more floral than gourmand, as some other comments suggest. It also didn't need to sit for a couple of months and macerate like some other Dossier perfumes need to get any scent at all. Straight out of the box and this one was good to go.

At first I was disappointed. This didn't smell like what I was expecting but I also didn't look any further than "fruity" and "brown sugar". This is not a gourmand this this a bright sharp floral fragrance with some sweetness. I have to admit it's grown on me though, and I got a compliment at work so that's something!

I have smelled Mon Paris multiple times and I think this is a very good dupe. Lasts very well with a decent sillage, overall I recommend this dupe.

Good dupe for Mon Paris! However, idk what it is but this seems LOUDER. My first impression with Mon Paris was a jammy wine opening that blended into vanilla patchouli brown sugar rather quickly. This one is like: FRESH FRUIT! (Jam...?) like if Mon Paris is someone simmering red fruits over the stove to make jam, Fruity brown sugar opens like a commercial for a hydrating beverage with pears and raspberries flying in slow motion over a white background with water splashes while some 28 year old man excitedly tells you about electrolytes and vitamins. Lol. And then I’m like “oh, the jammy red wine is there too.” On my wrist, I could tell that over a period of a couple hours it blended into the vanilla brown sugar which was pleasant. But, I had also spritzed some on my neck, which was a mistake for me. Much stronger than I expected. I went nose blind over a period of 9 hours til I took a shower to wash it off. Like. When you go shopping for perfume and you smell just about every bottle and the general smell of “PERFUME!!!” stays in your nose and you have to go smell some coffee grounds. WOW this one stayed for eternity and even though my fiancé likes the notes of this fragrance more than my usual picks and encourages me to wear stronger scents, even he was like “it’s too perfumey, too strong” when he got close to my neck. I’m going to try again when my nose recovers in a couple of days, this time I’ll perhaps spritz my wrist so it’s not 5 inches away from my nose all day and see how I feel then. Staying power is grand. Sillage is grand. Will update if I get a different opinion next time.

This is my first impression after a day but oh my gosh, extremely strong cheap patchouli smell that is floral and sweet. I got this because I like mon Paris, I haven’t tried these side by side but I never had a negative reaction to mon Paris like I did with this. First spray is very strong and overwhelming, once it settles down it’s not as bad, but I’m not sure if I can get used to this. Very floral, strong patchouli, with a sweetness. The combination is pretty overwhelming. I’ll try it more since I got it on a flash sale but will most likely give it away.

I have not smelled the OG. To my nose, this smells like very fresh and pretty detergent. There is a fruity element, but an almost fresh and clean accord comes through over the fruit. When I smell this, it feels like I am walking into a room that has just been professionally cleaned. I can see the vacuum lines on the carpet, the bed is made so perfectly you don't even want to touch it. I will probably give this a few wears and see if anything changes, but right now it is a possible declutter.

I really liked the brown sugar in the heart note once it settled down, and really the perfume as a whole was okay. Nothing very sweet, not big projection unless I became nose blind, and really intimate sillage- though I did apply to unmoisturized skin, and my skin has a habit of drinking perfumes rapidly...

Not sure why it’s called Fruity Brown Sugar, because I don’t get that at all and it’s not a dupe for YSL Mon Paris. It’s a safe scent. I wear it to work sometimes (less is more because it can quickly become overpowering). It definitely gives floral. I don’t love it enough to purchase again.

This was very strong for me. The initial spray smelled of cologne. This was not feminine or fruity to my nose. There was something vaguely sweet and the patchouli was overwhelming. My husband agreed it smelled like mens fragrance. I'm wondering if my bottle was improperly labeled and I received Sauvage dupe. I'm going to try another one, I hope I like some of their offerings. The price is great.

This leans more floral with fruity accents than a true fruity brown sugar scent. I was excited for a richer, sweeter profile, but it comes across closer to Mon Paris, with a similar synthetic feel. Overall, it’s not very appealing to me. It smells generic and overpriced for what it offers.

the notes are deceiving, i def get the sunscreen // synthetic scent some reviews talk about, not a terrible scent but i feel like theres so much better out there >.< not worth it tbh.

Defective? A weak sugar water skin scent. There's no fruit or flair. ~Walk away from this lackluster fragrance.

I don't usually write reviews on here, but this is one of the worst perfumes I've ever smelled. The only good thing about it is that it unfortunately lasts a very long time. It gave me a headache and made me nauseous, my best friend wrinkled her nose and asked me what i was wearing so that she could never buy it lol. I'm not sure if i got a bad one since everyone else seems to like it.....but this perfume is not it. I exchanged it for another gourmand white flowers.

This smells ok - but it goes bad very quickly. Unlike other Dossier perfumes I purchased at the same time, this perfume went bad in a year. Most of the perfumes I own last more than a few years without going bad (I store them in a cool dark place). Something is wrong with this formula - unless you are one of those people who use ONE scent 24/7, this is not worth the money. Went RANCID. Disgusting.

Doesn't smell like any of the notes at all. I kept it for a year hoping it would get better with age and no. It smells like straight sunscreen and chemicals. I wore it out one day and asked others what they thought, hoping it was just me who didn't like it and they all said the same thing: I just smelled like sunscreen.

Maybe I smelled an off bottle, but this perfume was terrible. I sprayed it at a store and the perfume clerk and I both hated it. I didn't spray it on myself, but I could smell it in my aura for over an hour. I can't even describe the scent. It was just terrible. So glad I didn't blind buy this one.

This does not smell ANYTHING like the notes!! I was expecting a sweet fruity perfume but it literally smells like ONLY florals?? Like I’m shoving my nose in a peony in the worst way. I was very disappointed by this because I thought I would love it based on the notes

first 3 seconds i was like omg yum then it turned rancid asf and the clothing i sprayed it on smelled so bad next day i ACTUALLY threw up so 😭 never hated a perfume this bad before omg

Very weak generic scent. Smells like rubbing alcohol and a bit of brown sugar. Dries down to weak vanilla and weak brown sugar. Not worth any price.

I am sorry but I don't find this ressemble YSL Mon Paris. Not as you spray anyway. I don't know if I am sniffing the same batch as others, but the mix in this fragrance seems very old in it's style. It smells ok right after spray but the berries soon dissipate and a powdery smell with a touch of "rice vanilla pudding" -- yes the only thing that comes to mind to describes this smell is "rice vanilla pudding" at the moment :) .Then I am having a hard time with the scent after 10 minutes. It seems to be giving me a headache and I can't really distinguish anything nice about the scent. It feels like a perfum from the 90s. It only becomes nice again after a couple hours and it is very faint powdery sweet...something. An unfortunate blind buy in an attemp to save some dollars by not buying the YSL Mon Paris. What a bad bet I made. I know I won't wear this. Oh well. I personnally cannot recommend. :/

Concur with the earlier reviewers and say it’s fruitier/brighter than the original. I love that the berries have a stronger fresher presence because I miss them after the dry down with the original. It has great performance all day and I feel like you get to appreciate the top notes longer. Really slight difference to the inspiration but a great purchase if you like Mon Paris.

Love this. I get compliments every where I go. I swim in this one. I don’t know what it is. Maybe it’s the fact that since it’s so affordable, I don’t scrimp on sprays because I’m trying to save it because it’s expensive. I spray with abandon. How freeing is that! Smells expensive and classy and is affordable and within reach financially. Thanks, Dossier.

Received in PR from the brand (I am an influencer). As compared to She is Mine from La Rive (another inspired by scent), this is sharper, fruitier, zestier and She is Mine is creamier. I like to layer w a vanilla or Whipped Berry Meringue to sort of tone down the loudness other reviewers mention. However, this is a banger. Lasts, projects, etc.

I stopped a woman on the street and this is what she was wearing. She smelled very sweet but sophisticated. I think the brown sugar is to die for, but this may just be another one of those scents where it doesn't work with everyone's skin chemistry.

I have both Dossier and YSL, and for me there is no difference.
