Gourmand Orange Blossom

I wasn't sure if I would like this one because when I smelled the original a long time ago (La Vie Est Belle) it gave me a headache. I was surprised because I'm a huge gourmand fan. With that being said, it's been a long time since I've actually smelled the original so maybe my nose has changed. I absolutely love this one, and this is my first Dossier buy (blind buy as well). It's very gourmand but not "sickly sweet." I can really smell the hazelnut and praline in the first sprays, and then the orange blossom comes out and just makes it an absolutely beautiful scent. It's a perfect spring/summer scent for sure. I lasts all day on me!

My first floral; saw it on sale for $8.50 and figured why not. I actually really loved this as someone who hates anything but super-sweet gourmands--the citrus and white floral openings are strong but not headache-inducing, and fades into a nice nutty praline that's light enough for the heat while keeping me happy. Pairs extremely well with Bath & Body Works's Touch of Gold.

I liked this more as my bottle aged. While this is definitely similar to LVEB I like that its not as sweet. This starts out orange citrusy and blackcurrant foward. Then the slight spiciness from the patchouli. Then the florals and vanilla comes through. This reminds me slighty of Coco mademoiselle and Viva La Juicy together. At times a very artifical smelling orange comes through but its tolerable. Ultimately this smells high-end and sophisticated while still being bright enough for summer.

Not a floral fan but relatively new to my fragrance journey so I wanted to buy more floral perfumes to see if there's anything I'd like. I ended up liking this perfume! especially the scent left on me after the opening. Happy that I found a delicate spring scent like this :) I have their ambery vanilla which I don't like at all. I also have their floral marshmallow which I slightly prefer more than this.

Just blind bought this. Not sure if I'm 100 percent on it yet. I usually go for sweeter, vanilla based fragrances. I did layer this with Pink Sugar and I think I prefer it that way. I'm very new to fragrances and I can't always pick out the different notes yet, but I definitely get orange blossom, Jasmine, and Patchouli, but not getting any of those base notes I was looking forward to.

yum!!!!!! this is quite sweet and feminine, maybe a little bit too much for me typically but i know ill get a lot of use out of this scent this summer. this is a perfect beach scent to me. smells like holding a creamsicle in one hand and a bouquet in the other. very girly and cute, and not crazy strong so it will be comfortable to wear in the heat.

I haven't smelled what this fragrance is inspired by, however it smells very similar to Black Tulip by Nest, but a little less potent. The patchouli is a strong note. It's a unique and mysterious scent.

changing my review after wearing this a couple times — ok, i typically put on 4 sprays (1 on neck, 1 per inner elbow & 1 in hair), and felt like the smell had mostly disappeared after 4hrs, though, one day i put on like 8 sprays, and it lasted like 12hrs. when i was going out of my way to smell it, i could only get the patchouli and a bit of the orange blossom. a couple people told me they could smell fruity & floral notes, but i didn’t get most of it. it’s not terrible, but not amazing. when i spray this in a room, or on my pillow, though, i feel like it’s perfect! sweet, fresh, and, yea, a bit fruity. smells like a garden at dusk to me. i might keep trying to use it on myself to get myself more into the scent, but i think it performs better as a room spray for me.

The opener on me is very true to the name "gourmand orange blossom" i get a lot of the praline and the orange blossom + jasmine with a touch of nuttiness from the hazelnut. It smells like a chocolate covered hazelnut caramel with white florals infused inside it. It's def a floral gourmand and lives up to the name. The white florals are prominent but i can really smell the praline as well on my skin. After about 15 minutes the patchouli starts to come out and add a touch of spice to it. The dry down starts to warm up with the vanilla and tonka beans and as it continues to dry down the florals start to disappear but not entirely and the patchouli lingers and mixed with the vanilla and tonka.

Unfortunately the original LVEB just does not work on my skin, I’m not too sure if it’s the patchouli or Tonka but it turns very stale on me in the dry-down I wanted to love the original so badly because the initial few minutes of it are AMAZING! So when I saw that dossier had a dupe of LVEB I became excited so I tried it, let it sit on skin for the rest of the day and went back to CVS the very next day and bought it. It’s so similar to LVEB that you would think it’s the same but Dossiers version does not turn stale and that annoying patchouli is thankfully NOT the star of the show. This is everything the original LVEB should have been.

I had 'the real' on my arm, fresh from browsing testers at Kohls, only to come home and spray 'the dupe' as well. Both dupe and original are strong and long lasting, with good projection. :) The opening of Dossier's is quite a bit more orange blossom and less Lancome-ish. That's fine with me, as I prefer orange blossoms to Lancome! Seriously. That said, the heart notes are rather similar. Even the bits I don't care for in the original are here. So, if you do not care for La Vie Est Belle, I highly recommend avoiding Gourmand Orange Blossom as well! Impressive quality and good value.

Gourmand Orange Blossom & Pink Vanilla Wish by Bodycology smell just like La Vie Est Belle. If I smelled either on someone else I wouldn’t be able to tell the difference. I’m not such a huge fan of the original to spend a lot of money, so these two suit me fine. I can really smell the gourmand candy like orange blossom, nutty praline,smooth jasmine & sweet feminine patchouli....lasting power on me 4-6 hrs but longer on clothes.

Warm sweet slightly fruity. Slight citrus with a warm amber. I like it. Will be great in warm weather.
