6+2 Extrait de Parfum

Where do I start. This perfume was kindly sent to me as PR, my thoughts however are completely mine. I have been searching for this kind of scent for years. It’s almost emotional for me. This is so intoxicating. All the notes are supremely well blended with each other. This smells like what a niche perfume should smell like. It’s taken me a long time to try and analyse this perfume because of how the scent becomes one amalgamation. It starts off heavier than the dry down which I find very unique. It’s almost reversed. I’ve never seen something like this before. I can smell this slightly dry powdery savoury note of opoponax. It can be found somewhat similar in Byredo Slow Dance. This savoury animalic note can also be found in Halfetti Leather. Not overbearing or challenging at all. It’s a bit dusty from the oud and incense. It’s not a typical Oud perfume. I wouldn’t have noticed there’s any Oud had I not read it. It’s quite tame. It just adds character. Then after about 5 minutes it develops into this sophisticated sweetness. Not gourmand, just inviting. Balances and lifts the fragrance. So smart. The Oud becomes less prominent with time. The dry down is what makes me completely obsessed with this. The cedar, Vetiver, caramel, cypriol, ambergris and musk is to die for. It’s somehow manages to be almost uplifting and not dense. It’s 100% unisex. It’s not challenging, it’s definitely safe blind buy for people who collect niche perfumes with this scent profile. I’m confident you’ll love it. Longevity is a very good 10/12 hours. Projections isn’t crazy. Arms length. It’s noticeable for sure, but you won’t give yourself a headache. It forms a beautiful scent bubble around you. I’d say it’s versatile because it’s not obnoxious like the sillage of Oud for Greatness, but it’s still for a confident person. I wear it every day now. Some perfume which have a bit of a resemblance with this dry down: Initio’s Oud for Greatness and Atomic Rose (minus the rose). As well as Arabians Tonka by Montale. And a little bit of base notes of Mixed Emotions by Byredo.

Whenever I see a perfume by Paolo Terenzi, I know that perfume lacks projection and longevity, because this guy is stingy in terms of using materials in his works
