Woodland Pine Cologne

I personally believe this fragrance bears a dual-ended sword, of smelling absolutely gorgeous, yet only lasting approximately 1 hour on skin. Dr. Squatch's specialty resides in his natural deodourent, and it is clear that the same level of expertise is not present within the fragrance. The scent lasts only 45 minutes to an hour on skin, yet on wool clothes it lasts almost double the amount of time. Howver, to give Dr. Squatch credit, the ingredeints are natural and the scent is like a comforting pine blanket being wrapped around you in a north Victorian forest. I personally adore the sweet and ccaramel-esque under notes after it has completed it's cycle of pine scent. 7/10, would recommend

Woodland Pine, as the name and fragrance notes suggest, is a fairly one-dimensional (although pleasant) woody scent. I have found that around 3-4 sprays is adequate for daily wear (2x inside elbow, 2x neck) on my skin, but your mileage may vary. It is a masculine fragrance, but I wish it lasted longer (I haven't noticed much difference between skin/clothes). It definitely projects better in warmer weather, so I would recommend daytime spring-summer-fall. In heavy wind or cold weather, the fragrance gets completely squashed. Definitely not a bad bottle to get on sale, but for what they are asking for it retail I think you can find much better options for much less.

I was expecting this one to be more Pine and woodsy, but its more like a sporty bodywash with a hint of pine. I like the smell but VERY generic and non interesting. It lasts on me for maybe 2hrs so the performance is very bad, but it is an EDC afterall. Would not recommend for the price.

Not bad, but there's better. If you want pine scent, go for Greymist by Pineward. The discontinued "Crushed Pine" cologne by Dr. Squatch, although almost purely a skin scent, was absolutely phenomenal. At least Crushed Pine lives on as beard oil (highly recommend).

This is my favorite in the Dr. Squatch lineup. Smells like a nice pine tree bodywash. However, even though I do use this one a bit often, I think it's a bit overpriced and probably won't be repurchasing it. Though for now I'll still use and enjoy the scent. 6/10

I like it but I'll admit I did expect a little better. For Squatch fans, this is more similar to SNOWY Pine Tar rather than Pine Tar. It has more of a sweet, balsam/fir Christmas tree forest vibe than the Pine Tar soap. The cypress creates a brightness however that isn't found in either of those bricks. With that being said, if you have the full line of Pine Tar products this cologne is still a fantastic finishing touch out of the shower, and they will compliment each other. The opening here is when the Christmas tree vibe shines, then it becomes a woodsy but bright and fresh scent from the cedar and cypress colliding. I also get a hint of bergamot even though it's not listed, which is reminding me of Rainforest Mist. It's a very natural smelling scent; it really smells how I imagine walking through the forest to cut down your own Christmas tree smells. BUT this is not a holiday scent. I know I keep saying Christmas, it's just the best way to describe it, but this does not smell like a Christmas cologne. I would call this a year-round cologne just maybe not on the hottest days. Especially if you're known as an outdoorsy rugged guy, this will really fit your vibe and be a good signature. It's not too strong or harsh and it is surprisingly blended well, it's actually a bit sweeter than I thought it would be (in a good way) which breaks up any rough edges. If you like pine, balsam or fir and enjoy the scents of a forest, you'll like this. Just don't set your expectations TOO high like I did. Overall: not my favorite of the Squatch lineup but still really good. Scent: 80/100 Longevity: will update Price: too expensive for 1.7fl oz if it was more it'd be okay PS- like the comments below me, I do pick up some body wash notes but I don't mind that because it makes the fragrance more wearable, more mass-appealing and more versatile.

This is pine, definitely, but it's not overly snappy or harsh. This is a nice, even, smoothed out pine with a touch of subtle sweetness. A little body wash-y, but it still is a good standalone fragrance. I believe in wearing what you like, but I still do believe this is classically masculine. It's nice, and would make a relatively safe/dumb reach. I see why people are griping about the price of these, and I agree. It's a really nice scent, but nothing groundbreaking. It really shouldn't cost $60, probably more like $25. It doesn't have stellar performance, and although it's very pleasant and fresh, could stand to contain some depth or stronger fixatives...this scent has weak holding power.

Doesn’t last long but has a pleasant smell. I don’t get much pine/fir as I wish I had gotten but to me this smells very similar to Dior Savauge. Atomizer needs a lot of work.

I don't smell the pine in this. It just smells like generic cologne to me. I like their pine tar soaps but this was a let down.

opening is okay really woody but the dry down smells like wet dog and longevity and projection are poor do not blind buy

A soapy ambroxan-fueled shower gel scent. Don't waste your time with it. There are literally 100 better scents than this, and it smells nothing like their pine tar soap. You will barely get any pine with it. It's just bad and marketed towards soap fans, not perfume fans. Also, it's nowhere near as natural as they claim, just like their soaps.

I want to try this and the other Dr. Squatch scents but they are overpriced. I get that they are still cheaper than designer scents, but I don't see this being a whole lot better than a duke cannon or cremon scent which are a 1/3 of the cost.

Pine, Irish spring body wash. Nice for those who only want one bottle of cologne to wear/are not into fragrances much.
