Mystic Moss

I love chypres. Two of my favorite fragrances are Mousse de Chenne 30 and Eau Capitale, and this makes a fine addition to that collection. On paper, this smells like a traditional chypre, but on skin it opens up to be a modern, fresher take on an old format. The fragrance opens with a clear and distinct green mandarin. I'm typically wary of "new notes", but his one is spot on. It smells like a mandarin stripped of sweetness with amped up acidity. The biggest downside is that this sharp note stays dominant for several (2-4) hours. Eventually, sage takes over as the dominant and starts guiding this into more of a masculine aromatic direction. The salinity of algae and the freshness of geranium kick in around the 4 hour mark and fade into a beautiful mossy/patchouli that leans in more of a motor oil direction, reminiscent of Tempo's (Diptyque) patchouli note. Despite the marketing as a fresh scent, the sharp citrus and mossy-patchouli keep it from being "t-shirt fresh." Instead, it feels more like a scent you'd wear on a sunny day where the max temp is 70f (~20c), and you're wearing a button-up or light cardigan (fits my style). Longevity is great (7-8hrs), as a chypre, projection is great (as expected), and, for a designer fragrance, the value is great.

An orange and lime-citrus forward fragrance that’s fresh-spicy, mossy and aromatic. Yes there is a subtle earthiness in the dry-down, but it’s very sweet and ever so slightly vegetable-like, (not dry or dirty, like soil). There’s also a barely noticeable mint or sweet spearmint at work in the background; it holds the composition together. The vetiver and incense reveal themselves slowly. I personally find this better as a room/linen spray and have used it as such.

It's expensive, but very long lasting and a BIG bottle. I was surprised to still easily smell it on my wrists 12-14 hours later. The next morning waking up I still get some hints of minty eucalyptus sweetness when hitting the shower. That's impressive for an Eau de Toilette. I like the uniqueness of this scent, its not something I can say I smelled before. Very green, salty, earthy but also fresh and summery.

Opening is similar to Hermes H24. Transforms into a spicy mandarin with some very likeable marine/salty notes. I hate marines usually but wow this is amazing. The mid almost reminds me a bit of burlington 1819 by roja. Spicy, citrusy, marine, and earthy, but not nearly as earthy as fragrantica says it is. Recommend!

Expensive? Sure. However, what would you pay to smell like muddled mandarin and cardamom in a salt-rimmed glass by the beach? This is evocative of good times in hot weather with the best people. In other terms, mystic moss is a citric cocktail anticipating its shot of alcohol and crushed ice.

Mystic Moss is a lush green spicy herbaceous moss with citric tang. It leans more masculine and for an EDT it lasts (12 hours), so is better value for money as it’s a huge 200ml bottle. I love the fuzzy green oakmoss/patchouli/clary sage/vetiver combo with the zesty and fresh mandarin with slight green spice from the cardamon. The only aquatic element comes from the algae, with gives a green, salty and mineral nuance rather than a traditional blue watery or ozonic quality. I get no geranium (unfortunately) nor incense. It rather It does remind me of Pacific Rock Moss but greener, mossier and not aquatic, plus it lasts a whole lot longer than PRM too. If you’re a guy who’s looking for a fresh, easy wear, herbaceous/aromatic promdoninantly green scent that’s still light and fresh, I’d get this. Plus the large green heavy bottle with the solid metal cap is beautiful.

There's something silky and seductive about this designer-but-niche range. Citrus and cardamom do a fine job balancing each other out and the patchouli remains soft and mossy, not pushing into greenness. The sillage on this one is fair, but I did spray liberally to achieve that.

I get orange & lime peel, salt and mint. Really bright fragrance that I can’t stop smelling. The marine notes and patchouli linger while the citrus dies off. I wish the citrus lasted longer but bought a travel size of this for that extra reason.

Smells like a beautiful woodsy-citrus with earthy (like actual dirt but fresh in the ground) undertones fragrance. But too masculine for me to wear casually, would be lovely as a candle/room spray though if it were 1/10th of the price!

Too masculine imho. Very mossy for the first hour or so, you feel a pinch of salt and mandarine, and I guess this would be a modern addition to a cologne style, that would still have an honourable place on your perfume shelf. Gentlemen, try this one, the citrus is so well blended.

Intensely green. I think I smell salt as well. This is very aquatic as well but not blue aquatic. This is like bottom of the ocean. Too marine for my tastes but, it's not bad

I blind bought this today. It was a risk on my part since I just based it on reviews but I took the chance. I am so happy with the result. I LOVE THIS VERY MUCH. And that is an understatement. This will be my signature scent. Without looking at the notes provided above, let me describe to you my experience with this perfume. It starts off as citrus. Not the orange type of citrus, though. It is like citrus-infused tea, with a dollop of sugar. It becomes similar to Hermes Vetiver Tonka but make it stronger, a bit creamier. And that is all that I can smell but it is very beautiful. I sprayed on my skin and on my clothes and I love the scent trail it gives. I know since I can smell myself and people around me too, with people complimenting my smell. If I am to use another famous perfume to further illustrate, think of BDK Gris Charnel, but make it citrus+tea, and a tad sweet, if that makes sense. But the style or rendition are very close to each other. I will enjoy my bottle while it last and will consider purchasing again, despite the price.

Perfect way to smell like a chiq, cannabis smoking, artist in his 20s that lives in a 1980s London warehouse turned into a modern contemporary home Yea... anyways Realistic, tart citric fruit peel scent backed by some awesome earthy patchouli/woods/vetiver. The herbaceous, tea or cannabis like quality really makes mystic moss stand out Wow! This is good stuff and for the price, dare I say, a bargain Easy to throw on, uplifting and impactful scent

i dont feel like this smells dirty or mossy really, i get a lot of freshness and citrus from this. it is green, but not in a bitter way. smells nothing like cannabis patchouli in my opinion. definitely smells like a designer cologne but i still really like it

My husband just fell in love with this. Bright, energizing and uplifting. He swears he get rhubarb very clearly. I enjoy this on him. Its green and light, also it smells unique and expensive (not cheap chemicals).
