A pleasant real amber driven scent whose impact is unfortunately diluted by the addition of very strong supporting notes. The key player here is fossilized amber which is first surrounded by a smoky myrrh and pepper. As the perfume settles, one detects notes of jasmine and mint and upon complete drydown, one gets a strong powdery mix of synthetic musk, olibanum and the Symrise molecule Amberwood that gives the perfume an exaggerated amber effect. All in all it’s a nice overpriced pleasurable unisex experience with moderate projection and longevity. But don’t go in expecting an amber dousing. Enjoy!

It morphs a few times before reaching the dry-down, which is mostly just myrrh. Likeable but doesn't scream anywhere near $700 (not even half of that)...You're better off getting a Stéphane Humbert Lucas

A sweeter version of Cartier's Oud & Ambre from the Les Heures Voyageuses line. With suede. Or perhaps it's the mint. At least in the opening. It deviates in the drydown with an ambery suede, floral, impression. I've only tried this on paper, once. But instantly got the Cartier Oud & Amber impression and confirmed it when I took the latter out to see if I was correct. In my opinion, it has more going on but I find the Cartier to be more solidly blended. Whereas the 40 Million feels like an unfinished product. Again, I've only tried this on paper once.

This and the Kinam Oud, ugh this house has been releasing some insane sounding studio juices. Wish I didn’t care about going into debt.
