Italian Citrus

I have been wearing this a full month and enjoy it immensely. A very rich citrus with excellent performance.Someone mentioned chewing gum but this kinda reminds me of a citrus starburst for some reason. I've gotten unsolicited compliments from both men and woman....very happy ...if u dig around u can get it for 105$. If your a citrus lover i think u must check this...I do also get a soapy johnson and johnson vibe but in a very good way.... i have been switching between this and xerjoff 1861....its beeen a very good summer :) and the one from beautyhabit.com for 106.00 is an EDP not EDC like it says

A warm and zesty citrus scent with an interesting, twisty opening of something a bit industrial (in a good way). After having sampled a lot of citrus fragrances, I rate this one highly. It's juicy with a thick middle that nicely lingers. Completely gender inclusive, it manages to be uplifting and aromatic whilst also sticking around thanks to a musky base. Layered with Crystal Pistil, it's elevated further, adding top notes of sweet, bright neroli.

This really impressed me! I get lemon and orange from this more than anything--perfectly bright and definitely unisex. It's a lovely citrus: you get some of the sharpness but it's also softened by the musk without becoming sugary-sweet, somehow. It doesn't have crazy sillage but I was still catching whiffs here and there at the end of the work day, and when I actually smelled my wrists 12 hours after application it was still there!

I love DS and Durga but unfortunately their scents do not last at all. They are very light and honestly great for layering. This is definitely a luxury product for how much you need to use and how often you need to reapply. This one is the same story. Absolutely beautiful, smells like a lemon summer. But it is so light. Great brand for people who get bothered by scents easily

Clean, delicious and freshly showered with Johnson & Johnson Baby Shampoo--just divine on the skin. The citrus radiates a feeling of ambrosial comfort. Ambrette gives a lovely botanical muskiness. I'd gravitate toward any man wearing this. Simple, pure and beautifully modest. Unisex too--perhaps a little generic, but I love wearing it.

Italian Citrus EDP is a delightful citrus fragrance. It smells fresh and clean. At first spray I smell a sharp blood orange, lemon/citrus. Soon it dries down to a perfectly rounded citrus fragrance. I am a huge fan of citrus based fragrances and I love this one. Perfect for the summer months here in South Florida.

Really classy citrus EDP. Beautiful sharp citrus opening - feel like I've just stepped out of a bath of blood oranges. Decent longevity and though just on the male side of unisex, the other half loves it as do I on her. Sorry Allure Edition Blanche, this stunner has taken your summer number one spot.

A bit of a disappointment ... It was a blind buy. How can I go wrong with any perfume that suggests a heavy mix of citrus notes? Additionally, I like DS Durga perfumes. Sadly, Italian Citrus is not what I expected. I was expecting a heavy sweet cocktail of citrus. However, IC is actually citrus-shy. I don’t perceive a distinctive trace of the citrus trifecta: lemon, lime, or bergamot. I certainly don’t get mandarine, which is usually a sweet citrus note. The citrus scent is rather tame and leans heavily on the green-citrus side of the spectrum. All I get is a bitter green citrus smell, not the customary citrus sweetness I get from other citrus perfumes. The citrus scent I get reminds me of the green orange trees my mother planted at our house when I was growing up. I smell the green orange leafs, twigs, and branches. Italian Citrus is very clean-musky. It's got a lot of that clean white musk note that I don't particularly care for. So there is nothing here that I particularly look forward to wearing under the hot sun in Florida. Perfumers, be careful when stamping a suggestive olfactory name or word on a perfume. If you include words such as citrus, oud, amber, tobacco, rose, Santal, etc, etc, etc to a perfume name, something that sets an olfactory expectation, then make sure the perfume celebrates and has in its limelight the suggested smell. Not the best and most refreshing citrus perfume for me. If you like a bitter green citrus perfume with a lot of white musks, try this one. If you are looking for a refreshing sweet citrus perfume, probably try Eau d'Hadrien by Annick Goutal or Profumo Roma’s Aqua Viva. A different one I really enjoyed from a relatively new house of late is Maison Crivelli’s Citrus Batikanga.

A bougie sea side country club in the midsummers afternoon. After your workout and subsequent shower, you sit on the porch of the clubhouse sipping on the lemon infused water they keep in the lobby to rehydrate and refresh before facing the day. The fresh zest of the gym cologne you brought, the clean and fuzzy bathrobe, and the smell of the fresh cut grass mixing together as your skin is heated up by the sun towering above. Life is good. Probably one of the simplest scents from DS and Durga (not that it’s a bad thing), but it fully encapsulates the post gym/shower smell in the summer. A pleasant medley of citrus, smooth and clean musk, and a ozonic/fresh cut grass backbone. It’s like you mixed bits of “Cologne” by ELDO, “Green Irish Tweed” by Creed, and “You” by Glossier. This would make a really good gym fragrance if it wasn’t $210 at retail. Overall a VERY easy wear, but the opening on paper can come off a bit rubbery (this goes away on my skin). 6/10 Moderate projection and sillage.

This is a beautiful, high quality and well blended fragrance from Ds & Durga. It opens with a burst of citrus - not sweet but zesty and green, with a tiny bit of bitterness. I love the lemon in this - I’m not usually into lemon but it is super refreshing. I don’t personally get the incense, but the balsam resin and oak moss are there and there’s no hint of citrus cleaning products in this fragrance at ALL. My partner bought this for me not realising it’s supposed to be a scent for men (I’m a woman), but although it’s a little on the masculine side it’s quite unisex. I see what they were going for with the fresh out of the shower mens cologne feel and this is 100% the vibe it’s giving. I can’t wait to wear this in summer, it’s so cooling and refreshing.

Italian Citrus is a very nice peppery citrus mix with the addition of musk (I smell some pine as well, though it's not in the note breakdown). This is a very masculine, mature fragrance and I find it very enjoyable. It does remind me of Terre D'Hermes a bit due to the citrus and pepper, however this one is a lot more clean due to the lack of vetiver that is in Terre D'Hermes. Sadly, as it is nothing really new and special, the price asked for it is a bit too steep. There are many citrus fragrances that have the same depth for a lower price, so I couldn't see myself getting a whole bottle for myself or as a gift to anyone else.

A modern refreshing take on classic eau-de-cologne, this "safe" beauty from DSD combines notes of citrus, orange, lemon, mandarin, ambrette and musk to create a light airy and masculine beauty that pleasantly freshens without overwhelming. Moderate in sillage and long lasting this is a really inoffensive and clean smelling scent that can be worn actually by either genders in almost any setting. A real classic offering from this eclectic line, a must for citrus musk lovers, and beautifully blended.

Limonceeelloooo. Very fizzy, almost thick, syrupy, yellow-white top notes, Amalfi lemon sorbet-like revisited trou normand, candied citron. All of this little world is quickly followed by something sweeter, white tea type, ambrette, musky hint, which turns the lemon into a clementine, with the green leaf-branch combo left hanging. Not the most amazing of their collection, but nice and well-balanced.

A safe, clean, musky fragrance. Pretty relaxed and unassuming. For my own tastes, quite boring but well executed. I think it has a beautiful dry down/skin scent stage which easily brings this up to a 7.5, but I have to say the majority of when you notice the fragrance it isn't that interesting. I absolutely love the dry down, though, it is deliriously relaxing. 6/10

It's clean but it's very sweet - almost bubblegum-like. It's nice but it's so faint, it has absolutely no presence at all. It's like sweet-smelling water. Lasts less than a full hour on my skin with absolutely no projection. Definitely a skin scent. Not worth the price tag by any stretch of the imagination, I'm afraid.

Italian Citrus is a delightfully clean, zesty, ever-so-slightly-sweet and slightly musky understated scent. Nothing earth shattering or ground breaking, to be sure. However, it wafts softly around you and wraps you in a nice scented bubble. It's marketed toward men, but I'd totally wear this and enjoy it.

Go girl give us nothing. It's super similar to Coriander and Bistro Waters, but where Coriander is one note and lovely and Bistro is complicated and grows on you, Italian Citrus is kind of a nothing burger. It's nice on card and it's fine on skin. Just doesn't stand out in any specific way.

Not much else to add here that hasn't already been said, but this is definitely DS's safest option...no one would not like this, and it's very light, more musky than fruity to my nose...worth trying if you like light, inoffensive background perfumes, something we all need once in awhile...

pleasingly dark and bitter and a little boozy on me in a nice contrast to the one-note brightness of most citrus scents; mediterranean holiday but once the sun has gone down and you've had to shrug a shirt on over your white linen to go out for cocktails

So clean and masculine, wish my SO would wear it. Strong, strong citrus, nothing sweet or playful or childish about it.

DS & Durga is a hip niche brand that I admire overall, but I haven't met a DS&D scent yet that is full bottle-worthy for me. Italian Citrus certainly won't do anything to change this. I received a sample of this for free with a purchase, and expected a straightforward citrus cologne. Their scents are usually quite creative, but this is pretty dull (despite the radiance of the citrus opening), and has limited performance. IC is, predictably, a blend of citrus notes on a light, musky base. Orange is most dominant to my nose initially, and some tart lemon follows. It is quite sharp, leaning dangerously close to cleaning products. However, the clean musk creeps in early on, softening the sharp edges nicely. I get a little grassy greenness too. It is quite pleasant for a little while, but then fades to nothing in under an hour - quite a disappointment. It would work well as a refreshing scent in hot weather or for sports, but it is way overpriced for what it is. Sillage is intimate and longevity is weak. It is a unisex scent for hot days. More of an eau fraîche than an EDP as labelled, IC is ultimately disappointing. I have also smelled better colognes. Buy 4711 instead for about 5% of the price. 1.5/5.

Agh, another to add to the really short list of absolute failures from D&D. Usually there's always some twist of wit or source of interest in their scents, whether they're your (or my) thing or not; mostly I adore them. This? A muted whisper of citrus which sometimes points at sweet-synthetic, sometimes gestures towards something quirkier and muskier, but whose voice dies so fast it's left gaping and mouthing some message at you which you just can't pick up. What on earth is this trying to say? A tiny ripple of freshness spreading a few inches off the skin for under an hour and ... that's all folks. I'm sure that my #1 hate object in the scent world, the tiny .5ml dabber format tester, didn't do this one any favours but pffft. Really! File under BAFFLING MISFIRE.

Nice Citrus with a Chanelade like drydown quality...aldehydic, musky, very sleek. Can't say I love it...bit too perfumey and not as fresh, bright, and non-perfumey natural as what I'd want something called "Italian Citrus" to be. More sleek French than Italian.

It’s an astringent, green citrus. Straightforward and not as well rounded as I had hoped. Smells cheaper than it is. It’s steamy and kind of old man-ish. It starts off with this unpleasant ambrette like note and settles into a lemon that’s not zingy or fresh.

Pretty forgettable. Still haven't found a lemon-forward fragrance that doesn't smell either one-dimensional or like hand soap...

Straightforward, linear, exactly what it claims to be.

Picture this: You're suntanning on the Amalfi Coast of Italy, an older gentleman approaches you. He's tan, a bit overweight, and has been sweating from being out in the sun too. This is the scent of his slightly bad breath, aftershave, and body odor. In other words, this is definitely what Bert from the 2nd season of White Lotus smells like. Personally, I don't like it at all, I don't like to wear it, and I definitely don't want to be emanating the same vibes as him. But if that's the kind of feeling you're after, go for it.

Italian Citrus opens with mouthwatering bittersweet orange. Exactly like a chinotto soda, or Aperol spritz. It's quite faint and sheer even with pretty heavy application. There's some fuzzy, clean synthetic white musk under there too. ...and it's gone in an hour. This is one of DS & Durga's duds. Complete waste of money. Citrus colognes are meant to be pleasant and fleeting, but not *this* fleeting.

Not my favourite, I do however tend to like my fragrances on the sweet side and this is not at all. It's definitely leaning masculine. There’s a watery/metallic note, I would call it a sort of cold scent. Also I have a hard time with the musk, I don't find this fragrance well blended enough, too aldehydic.

I'm not sure how or why, but this smells like straight up carrots. Literally the only thing I could smell for most of the time I was wearing it was carrots. I think it might be the combo of musk and citrus? Either way - it's not for me

Why the hell does this smell like the leather in a new car, it was itrus for about 30s and now all i get is car leather and tyre rubber (not burnt). I guess someone COULD like this if they were so into cars they sniffed them.

The opening is great but it lasts all of about 5 minutes. What i'm left with is a faint smell of orange rind and musk that does not smell that great.

The musk and citrus combo isn't working for me here. Citrus itself isn't even that interesting, it smells rather synthetic.

The opening was a big beautiful blast of citrus which very quickly turned to a medicinal bitter scent. This is Not for me.

Dries down to exactly the same fragrance as Rose Atlantic. Too bad because on paper it smells like a great natural lemon.

I'm a citrus fanatic and this was not for me. In my opinion, it's way too aquatic and super short lived.

WEAK. After a few seconds I can’t smell it at all. And I have been giving it a good chance. Maybe I got a dud? My husband can’t detect the scent on me at all, no matter how much I spray on or how recently.

Smells like something a sleezy con artist would wear. Muted, almost mentholated citrus with hints of bad shaving cream and plastic. Leans masculine. A scrubber for me.

Ugh this is a horrid scent. Smells like rancid sangria.

Italian Citrus is having friends in the backyard for an afternoon bbq, marinating chicken and making cocktails. Tons of cut citrus, the pulp squirting out and the pithy tart citrus skin all over my hands and shirt. It’s bright and light but like a good cocktail it’s not fruity, sweet or boring. It’s just great. I think of this as a dark citrus and similar to making cocktails there is a seriousness to it. It’s fresh but it’s not just a summer day kind of vibe, on the hottest days it might even be too thick, but on a cooler day, an evening bbq with friends, a date with my wife or to work in the morning it’s awesome. The best part is I get no floral at all and for that I’m grateful. I have been trying a lot of citrus scents and colognes and too many go white floral/lavender and that just didn’t work for me. This stays as a dry citrus and just sort of sinks into a musky smooth base over time. I us a lot of sprays on my skin and on my clothes to get some staying power and it’s not a beast in any way though I have had compliments long after spraying so it does stick around. I like DS&D, I pop into their store from time to time and have several samples and decants. This is the only one I bought straight, full retail - no regrets. Some of their other stuff is weird, some of dosnt work for me though I like it, and there are others I want to get. This one is a winner.

Italian Citrus is both generic and unique. Generic because it is simple and pleasant in the way many fresh citruses are, and is thus somewhat forgettable. Unique in that if the scent is focused on, one realizes that not many other citrus fragrances are quite like it. On my arm, Italian Citrus opens with a classic bergamotty citrusy floral, but the freshness is grounded in something that reminds me of fresh BMW leather (maybe evocative of driving down the Italian coastline in a convertible leather car) but that leather is an incredibly fleeting note. Next this turns into something very aperol-y, minus the bitterness. Finally, it settles into a clean and somehow unique citrus—it is very limoncello-like (minus the cloying sweetness) grounded in some kind of expensive note like silk(?). Eminently pleasant, but not something I'd be super excited to get for myself (maybe again owing to its "generic" quality). Would be lovely to smell in the environment, on clothing, in a store, or in a car though.

Italian Citrus is a citrus blend coupled with musk and an undefined sweetness, perhaps brought on by the mandarin orange, that reminds me of fig, though fig itself is nowhere found in the note breakdown. A unisex citrus warm-weather fragrance that might have a lot of appeal to different people but nonetheless does not sit well on my skin, where it comes off a little old and feminine. Longevity and projection are decent, though, for a fragrance that seems to lean toward warm-weather usage. Still, this is another example of a D.S. & Durga EDP that strikes me as a bit pricey for what it is (at the standard cost of $145 for 50ml). Only their heavier options have so far (Bowmakers, Burning Barbershop) have struck me as potentially worthwhile at this price point. Nonetheless, intriguing to try. 6 out of 10

Was happy to be able to sample this very interesting brand in NYC while visiting last week. Italian Cirtus is one of my favourites. I do not find that it leans masculine, and is perfectly unisex suited for whatever skin chemistry vibes well with it. I prefer feminine and unisex-feminine leaning scents, and on me IC is soft, warm, with the bright opening of light citrus. I think the mallow rounds out and softens sharp edges and makes it creamier. Maybe it's the time of year - deep summer in Canada - as I don't get anything harsh or astringent as others have noted (other than..like, it IS citrus, so if you immediately think of cleaning products, you might with this one). It is light, and lovely. Uncomplicated. I am not sure if I'd get a FB yet but, I do keep going back to my sample...

This perfume really got my hopes up only to disappoint. It’s supposed to lead with lemon and blood orange, with herbal notes of Chinotto, evoking Campari, with a balsamic base chord and touches of violet leaf and incense. As a negroni devotee and lover of bitter Italian sodas, that all sounds fantastic to me, but on my skin, I find it mostly just smells like cheap orange dish detergent and then dries down to something unpleasantly powdery (that’s the violet and the musk ambrette, probably). I simply do not like it, which is a bummer, because I really wanted to.

Fresh, simple, sweet, and subtle. Definitely a scent that matches the vibes of the Italian coast. It evokes feelings of lemon print, coral, and limewash. Very understated, which I prefer. This didn't strike me as a masculine scent. I was trying to decide between this and Coriander, and actually thought this one had a slightly more feminine edge in comparison. I ended up going with Coriander because it was slightly more complex and interesting on the opening.

-If you could bottle summer at a beach resort, this would be it. -Italian Citrus opens as a sweet, slightly tart citrus scent. -Very photo-realistic, well-balanced scent with depth to it. -The dry-down reveals incense notes and some ambrette (i initially thought it was vetiver), both of which help ground an otherwise nondescript opening. a iced cola cola with a slice of lemon in it. heavy on the lemon note tho, maybe it's more accurate to say that it smells like a fizzy lemon drink wiith a note of coca cola in it. so do i love it? yes. definitely considering buying this for the summer, it smells amazing and so refreshing.. however that price is ticking me off a bit

More interesting than the notes would suggest - it definitely has DS & Durga DNA in there, the drydown reminds me a bit of the drydown of Radio Bombay, and somehow, on an unrelated note, even a bit of the drydown of Ganymede. Does not seem like the lasting power is gonna be great, but not bad if you can find it for cheap.
