okay this is an updated review after me owning this fragrance for 6 months. i need people to stop associating food related scents with super sickly sweet smells. this is a very true nutty gourmand scent without the ever so sweet smell everyone expected it to be. this is simple and straight to the point. if you need to, buy a bag of pistachios and put your face in there and give it a good sniff, it doesn't smell super sweet does it? obviously i can't change the vast majority with only one review when the modern perfumery has brainwashed everyone to think a gourmand scent HAS to be sweet. now let's talk performance. at first spray, the patchouli comes off STRONG. i'm not talking ever so slightly intense it's really a punch in your face with patchouli. it quickly dies down after 10 minutes or so and slowly becomes nuttier and nuttier the longer it sits on your skin. as the time passes, it slowly gets sweeter with the vanilla in the base but again, don't expect it to be super desserty sweet. it becomes a skin scent after about 5 hours on your skin with minimal projection but you can still detect it. my final verdict: if you like sweet scents, don't waste your money on this one. if you like weird scents, definitely give this a try. if you like patchouli, don't even think twice.

All these reviews calling it a patchouli bomb as if that's a bad thing.... Skill issue, some people just can't appreciate the magic of a patchouli-forward gourmand! The Angel DNA is all over this fragrance, although I'd consider Pistachio much more wearable and less intrusive on those around you. I don't really smell pistachio per se (I know what it tastes like but what does it even smell like?), But I get an amaretto-y almond, cardamom, cocoa powder, something floral like vanilla orchid or maybe almond blossom, and yes, patchouli. And over it all, something a bit dusty, like the first time the furnace kicks on in the fall. The combination of the cardamom with the other notes reminds me a little of that cardamom-flavored coffee you find at middle eastern stores. I enjoy this more and more every time I spray my sample, and I fear a full bottle may be in my future if I can find a good deal on a used one. The projection is more intimate than the notes would suggest but the sillage is lovely. It lasts long enough to savor, but not so long I get tired of it. If you're a die-hard patchouli hater, stay away from this, but if you want a gourmand that's darker and less dessert-y, give Pistachio a shot.

Opens green spicy. Smells of cardamom and a creamy backing. The creamy element is trying to be pistachio but the other notes are making it read cold. For a minute, I got play doh from the nutty and slightly salty scent. It dissipates and turns more gourmand. There’s something uplifting and smells like a cross between mint and licorice. I believe it’s coming from the patchouli which here reads green and herbal and less hippy/dank. It’s causing a pistachio ice cream effect. As it mellows out, it smells like the Indian deserts made of ground nuts, sugar, butter, and spices. I’m thinking a kheer/payasam or badam burfi. I described what I smelled to my Indian MIL and she immediately suggested it was like payasam without me divulging my opinion yet. Further in the mid, the patchouli turns into that rich, true patchouli. I see Angel Muse is suggested as most similar. I do agree that they have that type of patchouli that is almost gourmand itself. However, Angel Muse has a delicious hazelnut and chocolate combo. Both could be described as nutty gourmands with patchouli. In the deep drydown, patchouli is all that remains. It turns into quite a deep, sexy scent.

I blind bought a full bottle of pistachio because I have had nothing but excellent experiences with DS and Durga fragrances. I wanted to try their version of a gourmand, as I don’t care for the overly sweet and overpowering gourmands that seem to be more popular at the moment. On first wear, I got the patchouli bomb that other reviewers have noted. I do like patchouli done right, so I still enjoyed the fragrance. I couldn’t pick up much pistachio- mostly patchouli, a waft of almond and cherry, and all around very herbal. It was a scent that reminded me of a new age or crystal shop, a little nostalgic. On second wear (and all wears since), it was PISTACHIO and the “liner notes” were right on the nose. A spicy cardamom and pistachio opening, then softening into pistachio and sweet almond paste, with a dry down of salty, nutty pistachio, creamy vanilla, and the subtle earthiness of patchouli. Excellent long wear that had me sprinting to pick up pistachio ice cream after work. I am absolutely infatuated and completely addicted!

i tested this months prior which prompted me to buy the full sized bottle, but it didn’t smell as i remembered and it ended up sitting around for a year as i quietly regretted the purchase. i thought id made a mistake...too heavy, too vintage, too much. then i decided to give it another chance (but in 30-degree heat) as i somehow decided that it was strictly a fall scent, lol? buuuut, to my disbelief it came alive, such a rich woodsy chocolate!!! then it bloomed with the sun beating down and bringing the patchouli into focus, leaning sweet and nutty. i think the humidity really brought attention to the cardamom, with the salt of sweaty skin it somehow melded itself nicely into a musk. it became something so different and so intoxicating, walking about for hours carrying heavy bags and sweating like muhfkr in that heat but stillll! i could not stop smelling how gorgeous this fragrance had become on a hot summers day. so much deliciousness i cannot get over it.

This brand has captured my curiosity for some time now, and I’ve always had a soft spot for their candles. So, discovering they also offer perfumes was a delightful surprise. Lately, I’ve been obsessed with pistachio, so stumbling upon their pistachio fragrance felt like fate. Upon the initial spray, it delivers a powerful wave of honeyed almond and cardamom—decadent to the point of being almost overwhelming so definitely gourmand territory. Give it half a hour because the magic is in the dry down as it transforms into this beautifully sophisticated, sultry musky patchouli and salty pistachio, kissed subtly by a clean vanilla note. I’m baffled by the number of people who aren’t fans. Personally, I’m impressed with this scent; it would be an ideal companion for a date night, once it settles, it lingers on the skin perfectly melding into a seriously sexy scent.

Oh, I love this. The opening is a pistachio croissant from my favorite bakery down the street. It’s more pistachio paste or filling on the inside of the croissant than anything. Or even pistachio baklava. This continues to linger in the forefront, but the warm patchouli cuts any potential for toothache sweetness and keeps this very adult and sophisticated. I know some people have issues with the patchouli, but I think that’s what makes the fragrance so perfect— I struggle with a lot of full-on gourmands. The patchouli could afford to be toned down a TINY notch and the pistachio amped a hint, but this is SO good. The more it sits, the more addictive it gets. It’s so edible without being sickly sweet. The longevity is excellent on my skin also- I get well over 8 hours. I promptly bought a full bottle.

Artfully done. I don't always love patchouli and almond is hit or miss, but this fragrance masterfully balances its notes. Unlike other DS Durga "hyperrealistic" scents (I'm thinking about you, pasta water...), this isn't hyperrealistic pistachio--it's subtly nutty, subtly salty, creamy, and just communicates sultry sophistication. It has a bit of Margiela's (unfortunately discontinued) Whispers in the Library DNA. Super sexy--I see this worn at a speakeasy by an elegant woman who's got the slightest edge to her. I don't find it sickly sweet as others have; I also want to contrast it to Kayali's pistachio, which was, in my opinion, actually sickeningly artificial and gourmand. Happily just bought a full 100ml bottle after sampling a 2ml tube, that's how good it is.

Distinctly patchouli-forward right out the bottle, but it blends in pretty quickly on skin, where it becomes this complex sweet-nutty-earthy scent. I decided to give it a shot right before bed because I didn't like it at first, and couldn't stop sniffing it as I fell asleep. Woke up to some faint vanilla/sweet notes, so I can confidently say it lasts a decent amount of time. I knew going in not to expect Gourmand Pistachio as everyone warns, but what I didn't realize is that the deeper you smell it, the more the full picture of a pistachio forms. It's not going to be the bright green pudding-packet pistachio that I personally love, but it gave me a new level of appreciation for this yummy nutty note :) it's very cozy!

The pistachio in this perfume is in my opinion a reference to a specific shade of creamy green, with a bright and almost synthetic luminosity. I had hoped for a roasted, nutty, salty note. This is more like a crema di pistacchio, a sweet pistachio cream used for desserts, combined with a light rose water. Still I am starting to love it. Actually on me it is reminiscent of Midnight Poison Elixir, which I seldom get to wear because of its beast performance in the cold climate I live in. So for me it is a very wearable and friendly sweet patchouli. Notes from DS&Durga website: Top notes: pistachio, cardamom. Heart notes: more pistachio, roasted almond. Base notes: even more pistachio, patchouli, vanilla crème.

It takes a good minute (a week of spraying) for that sweet full pistachio note to hit, I can agree at first there was a wave of sweet patchouli but again after spraying it once or twice a day for a weekish made it blossom to it's notes. It's not a ice cream pistachio but the vanilla patchouli and pistachio are absolutely a sweet delicious mix. I love layering this with Montale's vanilla cake, the combo of the two do indeed make that pistachio ice cream. I'm not the biggest fan of gourmands and not the best judge but this does remind me of baked goods with pistachio in them.

This opening is TO DIE FOR in perfumery... Breathtaking every time... It's a meaty, oily, creamy full pistachio note; which evolves to sweet, mapley, pistachio pudding with herbal and earthy patchouli; finally drying into a lightly sweet, nutty dry vanilla, with herbaceous patchouli over iso e super on full drydown- nary a memory of that glorious burst of pistachio at the intro. Still so beautiful and unique. Worthy of any carefully curated fragrance collection. Perfect for fall and the holiday season. Best rendition of pistachio I've personally ever experienced. 💚😌

Pistachio is an ill-suited name for this fragrance that just leans into the hype of pistachio perfumes that's been building for the past year which is a real disappointment. Don't get me wrong, though--I love it. This fragrance is a cozy blend of cardamom, vanilla, and patchouli. It's not super sweet but does smell like the kitchen around Christmas time... warm cookies, spices, etc. but in a more sophisticated way. I'd sum it up as a really lovely spicy-sweet scent that is way overpriced for its complexity and poorly named/described by the brand.

Absolutely delectable, but by no means a gourmand pistachio ice cream or macaron. This is a meaty, oily unisex scent with salt, sweetness, and a medicinal kick. Though the notes cheekily list only pistachio, I think I’m picking up patchouli as a base note. It’s an incredible performer and is unique but entirely wearable. I loved it on a warm spring SoCal day and am so happy I was able to pick up a bottle! This is my first and only DS&D fragrance and I will cherish it for sure.

It is what it says it is, it's Pistachio. I get a lot of nut out of this, but I do notice some others might not get that but I personally mostly get a salty pistachio. If you had a bag of dusty pistachios and creamy almonds in a bag, this is what that is. Very diffusive and round. It does start off more dry, and settles into a sweeter, creamier, pistachio almond scent. Definitely not for summer, but can see this fitting any other season or occasion. Unique and cozy

botanical patchouli concoction. i appreciate the nod to the godmother of all gourmands - angel, but i cant see how fitting the patchouli is here. this one had the potential to be such a nice spicy, nutty, warm and maybe tad sweet pistachio paste fragrance - granted the other notes were amped up and grounded with something other than patchouli. At the minute it just smells like a light cherry chapstick with a patchouli bomb. eh...

this disappoint me very much by the name. the brand say this everything is pistachio but the pistachio vibe in this one is too short. just a few second. it's not a pistachio perfume for sure. but as a fragrance, this is very nice. it's patchouli with almond and honey that blend very well. really nice on my skin. remind me a little bit of angel or A-men but not that much. flop by the name but as a fragrance this is so good.

I can see a resemblance between Pistachio and Mugler Muse, both sweet without being gourmand, but to me Pistachio has a prominent honey note (actually honey and woodsy notes are the only ones I can smell here, honey is the strongest note in this parfume and so realistic) and Muse has a chocolate-patchouli notes. Both equally delicious, but different. I actually prefer Pistachio over Muse,even though I am a patchouli lover.

this wasn’t a love at first sniff. the opening is a patchouli bomb and i almost scrubbed it off immediately until i let it sit on my skin for a bit and it bloomed into a beautiful spicy pistachio. the patchouli dies down the longer it sits on the skin and it actually becomes quite sweet after a while. i'm so glad i snatched this off of mercari for a good price and i'll save this for the fall and winter!!

I used to dislike this fragrance, and I swear it macerated beautifully. At first all I smelled was play dough, so artificial. Now, this is my not super loud gourmand. I can smell this after a 10 hour day at work. It’s so light yet has such great staying power. It’s creamy, salty, nutty. Almost sweet like artificial almond. Amazing to payer with scents. It really is so unique and very cool

To me this is more about the patchouli than the pistachio. It is 100% gourmand on me at the start - it feels like a pistachio pastry with fluffy vanilla whipped cream and a delicate butteriness. On the dry down the patch shines and it is still quite gourmand in the way that Angel Muse is gourmand. In fact, Pistachio quite reminds me of an upscale Angel Muse with a much more muted sillage.

Love! This is a salty roasted pistachio smell, think shelled pistachios straight out of the bag. Opening is salty, savory, and toasty, and slightly sweet notes come out as the scent sits on the skin. I'm not a fan of sweet pistachio dessert scents so this was a happy surprise. Not a huge projector but noticeable a few hours later. I love this as a unisex scent.

This is a weird smell, but a pleasant one. It is fresh and nutty while still somewhat mysterious. It doesn’t smell “green” to me. Not extremely saccharine but enough to get the point across. I don’t get “dirt”, and it is not exactly like a pistachio but it refers to their smell in a sophisticated way. Truly unisex. I’m a 34 year old man and wear it confidently.

Oh wow, what a unique and playful gourmand. I got a sample from Luckyscent since I don't think I'll be able to get the FB unless someone starts paying me for being cute. I get pistachio, cardamom, anise and very light vanilla. Almost smells like halva instead of pure pistachio nut/pistachio ice cream etc.

I truly have no clue what most of these reviews are talking about LOL. This is a gorgeous, sensual, truly unisex fragrance of which I will gladly buy a full bottle and integrate as a signature scent. It’s my most complimented scent right now. Calm down, everyone!

i dont know if im being stockholm syndromed by my sample this winter but this fragrance is growing on me a lot... like the sweetness is more amplified, i can smell the cardamom and vanilla now... and the savouriness of it all is kinda intriguing....

Admittedly this is not a straightforward pistachio fragrance, but it is still very nice nonetheless. It reminds me of an almond chocolate-y cake with hints of pistachio around. I'm personally into patchouli so it helps its case even more

Not the type of thing i would wear but soo yummy smelling. Like a thick pistacio cream with vanilla at the center of a delicate and expensive pastry. Happily not cloying or synthetic but rich and creamy.

This was not at all what I expected. Very strong patchouli. Nutty smoothness underneath. I like it alot! If you like Angel it feels like a flanker.

This is not nut-centric. There’s no salt or bite. But it’s still wonderful. This scent is super creamy, like a pistachio cream Montblanc dessert.

The pistachio in this is so fucking yummy I nearly chewed my wrist off after spraying.

Just a few minutes in, the scent evolves into something deeper and more comforting, taking on a doughy, nutty quality that leans into the gourmand territory. As it unfurls in the heart, I’m reminded of pistachio drop cookies. However, the true magic of this fragrance reveals itself about ten minutes in, as the dry down captivates the senses. A wave of creamy vanilla entwines with the pistachios, transforming it into a velvety experience that feels both indulgent and familiar. Picture pistachio cream nestled inside one of those Dubai chocolate bar that took TikTok by storm just a couple of months ago—rich, smooth, and utterly addictive. While the fragrance itself is undeniably delightful, I find myself disappointed by its performance. For a 50ml bottle priced at $190, or even $100 when snagged on Jomashop, one would anticipate a more robust experience. The initial projection is pleasing, casting a charming aura for the first ten minutes at a distance of about two feet. Yet, this vibrant presence quickly fades, retreating to about one foot after that point and lingering at this level for around two hours. By the end of the second hour, it melds into a mere skin scent, until it vanishes around the five-hour mark. In summary, is it a pleasure to wear? Absolutely. But does it hold its ground performance-wise? Regrettably, no.

I was looking for a nice cool weather 'fume, and was so tired of all the tiktok recommended scents you can smell on almost everyone. I like something different, evocative, but supremely pleasant. I tried the pistachio but went back and forth on "I'm returning it/I'm keeping it" about 75 times before deciding to open the box. The reviews, especially on this website, were so mixed, and my experience with DS&D were wildly extreme. Finally deciding to open the box, I noticed that the notes listed on the box are completely different than what you see above. The box lists: "TOP pistachio/cardamom; MID more pistachio/roasted almond; BASE even more pistachio/vanilla crème." The first sniff was like getting smacked in the face with a huge sack of cardamom, but not at all unpleasant. Minutes later came the light green pistachio note, soon to be overpowered by a strong almond cookie aroma that made everyone in the room go, "mmmmm, what IS that!?" And I mean that in a good way. Throughout the following hours, I thoroughly enjoyed the creamy and powdery dry down. Five or six hours later, I detected the "play-doh" someone else commented, but I was soon to be corrected by my partner's nose which interpreted it as vanilla. There was the vanilla crème! All in all I'm super pleased to have opened the box and find the price point decent for a gourmand scent that is complex, interesting, warm, and above all, pleasing in all of its stages, at least on my skin.

New notes from website: TOP NOTES pistachio cardamom HEART NOTES more pistachio roasted almond BASE NOTES even more pistachio patchouli vanilla crème First impressions: So, judging by previous reviews this would be a remix rather than a straight rerelease. It’s the sweetest Durga scent I’ve found. First impressions is it’s a straight up pistachio desert gourmand, more chocolate than vanilla at first but moving toward vanilla as it dries, and then more oily and nutty as it dries further. The sweetness has a vanilla quality to it, I don’t find it cloying, it’s soft and nutty. It smells more like the flavor of the nut than the nut itself. Several hours later it’s giving off a light floral/sweet sandalwood vibe, very creamy but it’s less sweet and gourmand than the first few hours. Longevity seems good, unsure about silage. The only note I have trouble finding is the patchouli, but that’s often the case for me when it’s really blended, like here. I was going to update this but after several wears I stand by this review, it’s a sweet and creamy gourmand. I do smell the patchouli more than before but it mostly comes across as pistachio to me.

If you're smelling this hoping for pistachio ice cream or baklava, you're going to be disappointed. This one doesn't smell edible. But--it's really nice! This isn't a gourmand-y gourmand. Think of it as the pistachio version of what the perfumetok influencers call a "hotel lobby vanilla." It's woody pistachio with a light touch of vanilla through and through, lightly sweet and mostly dry, not cloying or overwhelming in the slightest. The patchouli does come out swinging in the first minute or so, but after that fades very quickly. It's truly unisex, and I would be happy to smell it on anyone. I've shied away from DS&D fragrances I've sprayed on paper in the past because of that opening blast of patchouli. Something in the way they formulate must be responsible for that. I'm thinking now that I need to go back and skin test their fragrances instead because this is much more balanced and soft than I would have expected smelling it from the bottle. If I use up the sample, I might just buy it.

Unless something leaps out of a disco-set, I rarely sample gourmands anymore but this one had been on my mind ever since a forum discussion, so here I am trying it. And honestly; this is very good. I know that’s not the most technical way to begin, but it was my first reaction. Dense, woody, and intensely nutty. A true gourmand, with both the sugar level and the edible impression running high. Now, when I imagine this with slightly less sweetness, I suspect the composition would suffer; the patchouli would start sticking out; yet a part of me still wishes it were a bit less sugary. This is not a playful, cutesy pistachio at all; it leans fully unisex. A dark gourmand with a woody-nutty character, blending pistachio, cardamom, almond-milk, and patchouli into a cohesive whole. It’s seductive and perfectly suited for winter. Not FBW for me due to the sweetness level, but definitely something I’d enjoy wearing occasionally for fun. DS & Durga, you got me good with this one- of course, I should've known better than to think "Pistachio" was going to be a gourmand in the hands of David Seth Moltz! This is the antithesis of a gourmand- not an ounce of sweet, confectionary pistachio for miles. What this bottle holds is a savory roasted pistachio with a huge initial blast of patchouli. The previous review mentioned a medicinal quality, and I'd certainly agree with that- I do get a fleeting aromatic, aftershave note. While the opening would normally be way too much patchouli for me, the combination of notes leaves behind a rather unique and pleasant dry down- an earthy, slightly herbal skin scent- which I definitely see myself wearing on the right occasions. Perhaps unsurprisingly, this also pairs delightfully well with vanilla and rose forward perfumes, too! I can confidently say I've never come across anything like this pistachio, but it is really a masterpiece in its own right.

I received this with the DS&Durga Deluxe Box Set, and was interested to try it. When it comes to gourmands I lean less sweet, so I was prepared for this to be a “nice but not for me” experience. It opened heavy with cardamom for me. Smelled exactly like Kulfi if you are familiar. The sweetness built immediately but leveled out. Almond notes tend to dilute quite a bit in my skin, so I think that is what saved me here - without the dilution I feel like it would have been been syrupy. After about an hour it has settled into a photorealistic pistachio scent combined with what smells like a high-end lightweight face cream. Still with a little sweetness, but not overwhelmingly so. It sits very nicely on my skin, and I’m surprised to say I might actually reach for it on days where I want to feel a bit more soft an feminine.

‘Pistachio’ is a boring but really fitting name for this fragrance because it really is a pistachio fragrance through and through, but is it really nothing more than that? The fragrance is very nutty and woody and forms a delicious green pistachio. It makes you dream about late nights in Italy, walking around town and eating homemade gelato. You smell the vanilla from the get go but the fragrance never gets overly sweet, and the patchouli really help with tying it all towards a greener and woodier place instead of that sweet gourmand realm where it easily could end up. It is playful and cozy just as other reviewers have commented on but as I said, I never think it gets too sweet, just as sweet as pistachio naturally is. And it is a great advantage that this one is just as fitting during summer as winter.

We had an influx of pistachio perfumes in the last year. It is my personal opinion that you only need one in your collection, as most end up smelling about the same. The opening of this is very similar to Kayali Yum. Beautiful, sweet, nutty pistachio. The dry down is where it's different. The patchouli note in this is what emerges and takes center stage. And I think it's a beautiful patchouli! Expensive and clean. As I've said with the other DS and Durga I've tried and passed on, the silage of this is intimate. Too intimate for me. I think some people prefer something that sits close to the skin, but I enjoy for at least one person other than myself to smell something I'm wearing, especially if I'm spending over two hundred dollars on it. I would buy a travel spray of this! But not a full bottle.

Despite the hype, this one of those scents that seems to smell very different from person to person. I really recommend you sample on your skin several times and don't blind buy. There is a specific window of time in the year where I really enjoy this scent - a cozy Sunday morning in cold weather. It does not last long on my skin, nor does it smell particularly nutty. It smells like a vanilla-heavy pastry lightly dusted with pistachio. I'm not a huge fan of vanilla or sweet gourmands - and I know that to many noses, Pistachio does not even smell sweet - but it does on my skin. I think I was hoping for more woodiness, maybe a little bit of salt and smokiness from a roasted pistachio shell. But this smells like a pistachio milk or dessert. I am really hoping I'll have better luck sampling Peanut.

Oily salty pistachio, floury doughy almond mixed with a sweetish almond extract, and chocolatey patchouli are featured against a dense cream base. There’s something bordering on floral, or maybe minty floral, as well. It’s just at the edge of perception but it adds intrigue. The thing that stands out most though is the patchouli, it’s the best chocolatey patchouli I’ve smelled yet. The dry down is an appealing dry and powdery vanilla. This may sound sweet but it’s actually more savory. It’s pretty unique in terms of gourmand leaning fragrances but it does share some nutty and doughy/woody qualities with Zoologist Chipmunk. Lasts 10 hours on skin. If you don’t like this at first give it another chance, it really grows on you.

Let me start off by saying, I'm not into gourmands, or a huge fan of pachouli for that matter. But my best friend kept bugging me to try this one. I was pleasantly surprised! On my skin the pachouli settled in to what I describe as its "cleaner" expression (not the dirty/dusty-hippie way it can come through sometimes) and it blended nicely with the warm, nutty "pistachio". I don't get a photorealistic pistachio like some people mention but I only tried this one time. I'm planning to order a sample so I can wear a few more times before making the final decision to purchase a bottle. I'd say it's worth a try if you're not a traditional gourmand lover and lean toward more unisex fragrances, like I do.

yummy and delicious! DS&D did not come to play, they kept it simple and straight to the point with this one: pistachio. I'm a huge fan of nuttiness. my favorite scents often have almond or sesame, so whenever there's a nutty note in fragrances I get excited. and this is giving it to me. rich, indulgent, creamy nut. (pause) I notice that a lot of gourmands overdo the vanilla and I am so glad this one doesn't. I often don't like gourmands because they are always so thick and heavy. this fragrance is welcoming, warm, and cozy. the vanilla here gives more of a subtle lactonic base, I imagine a pistachio latte. overall so happy I got to test this and am on the look out for the best nut!

Pure nutty Pistacchio cloud. None of that sugar milk nonsense. Just real Pistacchio, Pistacchio, Pistacchio ! Amazing fun fragrance from Durga, they always play on high notes and keep it light and interesting. Very brainy brand, i love it, their fragrances always make you think, not feel. This I've had for a while now, it's amazing on its own as you forget you even have it on, and then it hits you here and there during the day to remind you " hey ! i'm here ! " Like a salty delicious skin scent, a nutty surprise! Also very versatile to layer with other fragrances , crunchy and dry. Edible and delicious, no frills : pure nut. Love it. Very Playful .

I’m surprised to see the low rating here. This is a beautiful pistachio fragrance that doesn’t just smell like straight up nuts. The opening has the strongest pistachio note but I actually prefer the dry down. It blooms beautifully with the patchouli (usually I’m not the biggest fan of this note) and blends with the vanilla so smoothly. It’s a really nice pistachio perfume (key being a perfume, not smelling like straight up food). It has a good amount of body but I still feel like I can wear it during the colder fall days. This does not smell gourmand to me, so perhaps that’s the miss for some people re: expectations for a perfume called pistachio.

This is a patchouli bomb on me.... like nothing but patchouli lol which I normally am fine with, patchouli tends to get amplifed on my skin but I was not looking for that when I bought this. I don't get any of the other notes at all. I was trying to figure out what to do with it when I realized the patchouli note in here is VERY reminiscent of the patchouli in Kayali Vanilla Royale Sugared patchouli, so I Layered vanilla 28 on it and that combo is identical to the Vanilla Royale. So I guess I don't need a full bottle of that now lol so yeah if patchouli tends to get loud on you beware that's all you'll get with this.

This is not a gourmand pistachio scent. Someone told me it smelled exactly like pistachio ice cream (and the marketing shows ice cream) and it does not, at all. I don't even smell any nuttiness. It is warm and on the sweeter side (the newer pyramid Durga put out says there is a vanilla creme note and I feel like I'm getting that), but backed with a dirty patchouli note and spicy notes like cardamom. I don't think it smells like Angel but it gives a similar vibe. It's nice, I think it would be a great scent for the cooler weather and it performs strongly. It's just not what I was expecting or hoping for.

Gourmand perfumes are my absolute favourite genre of fragrance, and given the latest trend in my country for anything pistachio flavoured, I had to try a small sample of this. I was a bit disappointed with it not being pistachio-ey enough. I was expecting it to be nuttier. I find that the initial spray has some nuttiness, but the vanilla does take over quickly. Thankfully, the vanilla here doesn't pull too sticky/syrupy on me, nor is it too powdery. Just okay. It's a nice comforting scent that I'm glad I got to try for a couple of weeks, but I don't love it enough to buy a full bottle. Too pricey.
