Rose Atlantic

The fragrance opens with the image of a summer garden on the edge of the ocean. Roses bloom among citrus trees heavy with ripe fruit. Some of the citrus fruits have already fallen to the ground, splitting open under the sun and releasing their bright, tangy aroma into the air. The ocean breeze carries a touch of salt and freshness, blending everything into a composition that feels luminous, transparent, and effortlessly refreshing. There is nothing heavy or suffocating about this fragrance. It does not wrap around the wearer or demand attention. Instead, it remains airy, open, and full of light. As the fragrance develops, the citrus notes gradually fade from the spotlight. In the opening, they are the main focus, while the roses act as a delicate floral thread running quietly through the composition. Over time, however, the citrus recedes and the rose begins to bloom. The heart of the fragrance feels like a rose covered in ocean spray. It is highly aquatic, remarkably fresh, and filled with air. Tiny droplets of seawater seem to sparkle on the petals under the sunlight. Yet despite the sunny setting, the fragrance never feels hot. The ocean is too close for that. The temperature it evokes is neither cool nor warm — simply light, comfortable, and perfectly balanced. To me, this is very close to the ideal summer fragrance. It does not create a mood so much as enhance the beauty of an already beautiful moment. The rose is especially impressive. This is not a cosmetic rose, nor a powdery or confectionary one. It is not the dense, vintage-style rose that can sometimes resemble old-fashioned cosmetics or deodorants. Instead, it is a fresh, youthful rose. A rose so natural that it almost feels possible to sense the softness of its petals. Rose Atlantic is an exceptionally beautiful fragrance: light, transparent, refreshing, and natural. One of the most enjoyable summer scents I have ever worn.

D.S. & Durga's Rose Atlantic is supposed to be New England summer: honeysuckle, beach grass, Sam Cooke, ferry boats, salty sea breeze, rose hips and the dunes. Cute. I believe them. But I don't have a single New England summer in my bones, so to me this perfume goes somewhere else completely. The golden coast of Cadaqués. Whitewash walls, toasted skin, an impossible blue, eating oysters and shrimp heads on the beach. The surreal house Dalí built on the rocky cliffs of Port Lligat out of an old fisherman's shack. Walls that look like the've melted into the stone, taxidermy birds, Mae West lips turned into a couch. Everything solid about tradition and common sense turned into air. Ferrán Adria also liked to turn everything solid or liquid into air (into a foam, to be more precise). Things so simple that they seem unmovable. An olive, an anchovy... maybe a rose? It isn't hard to imagine a rose-flavored oyster or a sea-foam rose petal dessert on the menu of El Bulli. Why did all this strange beauty spring from the same place? Rose Atlantic remains one of my favorite roses, but also one of the very few aquatic perfumes I enjoy, because it's not blue but transparent red. Soft, salty, briny, mineral, milky even. Rose petals, seawater, sunscreen, sweat and sunburn. Isn't skin on the beach one of the best sensations there is? A rose petal shucked fresh from an oyster.

I live near the Atlantic ocean and love green, rosy scents that remind me of the warmer months, so I ordered a sample. When I tried it over a year ago I was less into the initial scent and had some other favourites, but upon revisiting, it might be a favourite. When first applied, you get a 'clean' almost soapy rose scent that I enjoy less, but within just a few minutes, a more nuanced scent emerges that I just can't get enough of. While I can't say it reminds me of the roses lining the coast, the notes of crisp grass, clean salt, with just a whiff of rose, but most addictively and the scent I couldn't place, linden flower, which blooms only for a week but makes the air smell sweet for miles when carried on the wind. It reminds me of early summer, a soft salty breeze blowing, harvesting the linden flowers for tea barefoot in my yard. This trails off after an hour or so, leaving something closer to the feeling of salt left of your skin after a dip in the ocean, a mix of warm and powdery and the clean crisp absence of scent that feels like sheets hung to dry on a cool, windy early or late summer day. While the scent has a shorter longevity, the last phase of the scent lingers on the skin a bit longer, leaving a subtle je ne sais quoi. A pleasant sensory experience.

I grew up in California and now live in New York. I know what the beach smells like on both coasts quite well. The water just smells different. This fragrance captures the essence of east coast summer so well. I’ve never been to Martha’s Vineyard, but I can imagine the vibe. Understated, breezy, boat motifs, “quiet luxury”, patriotic in a liberal way. This scent takes me there. You stop to smell a ripe rose that’s been basking in the sun. Your nose becomes filled with the salty ocean air as the breeze picks up. You take a sip of your ice cold lemonade from a neighborhood shop. Beachgoers, sweaty from being in the hot sun all day, walk past. It’s perfect for a hot, sunny day. There’s something raw and sweaty about the dry on my skin. There’s something about it. It turns the scent into something that’s magical. The rose is gorgeous and the salty brininess of it is so realistic. One of my everyday summer scents. I will forever repurchase this. Silage isn’t very strong, but it’s not terrible. If I were more diligent, I would have to reapply after 3-4 hours. I wish it lasted longer! I need to get my nose on Rose Pacific to scratch my nostalgic itch.

This is beautiful. I do think it's fleeting and more of a skin scent, but it's succulent, juicy, salty, and rosy gorgeousness. I just recently bought a perfume so I can't add this to my collection right now due to the cost, but I need this in my life. This is so refreshing. I keep nuzzling my nose into my arm to sniff it. It reminds me of roses but also being out on the ocean. I do like how roses smell, but a lot of the time, rose perfumes can be too much. Just heavy and harsh, and not a beautiful real rose. This is so lovely. I do think it's over-priced, considering the longevity. But as soon as I can, I'm getting the small bottle. I wish they had it in a pocket size bottle like D.S. & Durga has for Mississippi Medicine. This is too beautiful. I'm also liking the White Peacock Lily and the Radio Bombay samples that I got, but this is by far the best of the 3, to my nose. I want to bathe in this stuff. Lol. I highly recommend trying it. But it definitely costs more than it should. I wish I could find a cheaper dupe.

This is a beautiful and delicate rose, it does not smell like an actual flower, but more like the breeze near the seaside which passed through a rose garden. It has a sour development in the beginning, not a lemon zest, only the juice. The tartness lasts well on clothes, not on skin. On skin it goes away, and you are left with a very subtle rosy aquatic scent which smells clean and pleasant, without a single trace of laundry, or soap, as clean sometimes is. In conclusion, beautiful, delicate, definitely not worth the money, unless you buy it to enjoy it yourself, nobody else will smell it until their nose is stuck to you. I regret spending the money to get it, but I collect roses so... that's that. Swap with me if you wish, if not I might just use it myself, as it is relaxing and pleasant but way too watery. Edit: weak as it is but after trying a few times I've grown to love it. So I'll keep it. But it's definitely not worth the price because of its poor performance.

A great tart, crisp rose fragrance. I get a lot of bright lemon, but where that would sometimes put me off (toilet freshener associations I suppose), here it works like a charm. It really does smell like fresh lemon, undercut by a pink rose not yet fully in bloom. The salt is not super prominent to my nose; rather it seems to give this a kind of backbone that is very pleasant and cause it to linger for 6-7 hours. I really enjoy wearing this in warmer weather during the day; managing to be classy, invigorating, and have a little edge, Rose Atlantic is super versatile. Could work just as easily lounging on a yacht (not that that's part of my life), a brisk walk along the beach, or an extended lunch on a hot day. Will I shell out for a full bottle? Probably not, because this is really expensive - at 160 euros for 50 ml I think I have to be head over heels in love with a fragrance to go for it. But I'd love another sample/decant of this, because it is really excellent.

I live in a place that allows me to spend a lot of time on the New England seashore and in Atlantic Canada, and I love the fresh scent of the ocean at high tide as well as the beach roses that grow there. Beach roses, or Rosa rugosa, have a gorgeous fresh, rosy scent and a hint of citrus. This perfume captures that scent, and adds to it the backdrop of the clean, salty air of the ocean when the tide is coming in. I love to wear it when I’m near the ocean or when I’m wishing I was! It’s a very clean fragrance that is wonderful to wear when you’ve showered after a long day at the beach, or when you’re walking along the water. Citrus is always a bit cloying to my nose, so I wish this citrus were toned down a bit more, but I suspect others will not feel that way. Rose Atlantic lasts for maybe an hour or two in the air and then another hour on the skin and then it’s gone. But I can’t imagine a scent this delicate being a powerhouse, so I don’t mind.

An airy opening with a light rose and a refreshing citrus (mix of lemon and bergamot). After that you get some salt as well. The fragrance keeps its airy character throughout so the overall effect is that of a lovely spring day with a breeze coming in from the sea. It smells like spring in that there is some discreet greenness involved but it's more of a background character. I find it hard to classify as I wouldn't necessarily cast Rose Atlantic as an aquatic as it's too airy for that. Neither is it wet in the same way as many other popular wet green florals present (think ELDO's Hermann which to me is a rainy kind of damp or Diptyque's L'Ombre dans l'eau which is a "dunk your head in a green pond" kind of wet). I can't wait to test this in the warmer months as it evokes rather specific summer memories for me. Longevity is acceptable (3-4 hours) and it sits close to the skin which I don't mind at all.

This is a well-rounded fruity, salty rose fragrance. I think that here, David Moltz's skills as a parfumer are incredibly apparent. Though it is an aquatic rose, you definitely get a sense of the fullness of fresh, juicy petals; more rose than sea. I find it denser and more substantial than I expected. Though apple isn't mentioned, there's a lovely apple skin pepperiness that makes this a worthy contender against other romantic, fruity rose fragrances. It's nothing like Delina, for example, but if you were after a fruity rose that wasn't so sweet and saccharine, I would give this a go. It layers wonderfully (as though they were made to be worn together) with 'I don't know what', which brings that woody, oud-y ambrox base. I think DS & Durga could make a fabulous rose-oud offering if they so wished; but that's an aside. I'm digging this and think it's expertly, artfully concocted.

I have been searching for an authentic "beach" fragrance that evokes sun-kissed shoulders and sand, but without the suffocating coconut sunscreen that many summer skin scents draw upon. Enter D.S. & Durga's Rose Atlantic. This fragrance opens innocently with lemon oil, tomato leaves (I guess that's the dune grass?) and just the faintest rose. The kind of rose that lingers on hothouse flowers from the florist: minerals, petals, hot water and oxygen. Then it dries to a decidedly sexier sea salt; like the odor of a damp, stretched-out swimsuit flung over the wooden planks of an outdoor shower. On my skin I detect saliva, the closeness of someone else's breath. There's unwashed hair and nude skin, flaked salt and sand. Very provocative. I can't help but imagine weekend affairs spent on a single, threadbare beach towel. I'm smitten!

This perfume was a holy grail find for me--beach + roses. Yes, I've tried things like Cool Water Sea Rose and Song of the Siren, but the dry down is always the downfall of the aquatic-rose combo (AKA the fresh dryer sheet phase that never ends). Rose Atlantic, on the other hand, performed beautifully for me from start to finish. It's like carrying a bouquet of roses during a walk on the beach on a sunny day, it lasts forever on my skin and it makes my clothes smell like absolute heaven. I am forever cursed for loving the absolute most expensive things possible, because I would love to douse myself in this fragrance all summer long, but alas, my wallet will never allow me to bathe in it like I'd like to. That is truly my only complaint about what I consider to be the absolute best summer fragrance I've ever sampled.

Oh my, this is one of my faves. If perfume had a body, it would be the body of the softest, cleanest, demure female ever. So smooth and almost buttery but very fresh smelling. The rose scent is NOT floral but somehow it’s a brighter and more green smelling rose, but still femme. It’s light but it smells expensive. Sadly, scent doesn’t last long on skin but does on clothing, with a poor sillage which is unfortunate because I LOVE this scent. It’s not overbearing, it’s inviting and soothing. I love clean, fresh, and bright perfumes. I haven’t smelled anything like this one yet. One thing I DISLIKE is that both the perfume oil and the EDP spray are very oily. You can feel it on your skin wherever you spray it, like a heaviness. It’s a bit icky.

After trying a sample I ordered the "pocket perfume" (by the manufacturer) thinking it had an atomizer like my other Ds Durga 10mls but it's a rollerball - be warned if your looking at the smaller size. Im looking to buy a regular bottle now. I would describe it as full jammy rose that is more tart than sweet with a breezy finish. Not sure if I smell salt, but the ending definitely reminds me of a strong dry summer breeze. The rose is full bodied without being heavy or old fashioned. Not a powerhouse in longevity, but it lasted 3-6 hours on me so not weak either. I love the playful but elevated vibe - fun without being immature.

The rose in here has a fresh tartness, almost sourness about it, the rose being done in this way compliments and works really well with the saly aquatic breeze accords. I didnt love it on first try, but everytime I wore it I fell in love with it more and I've landed on a hard love for this now. I would say this is a rose scent first and foremost more than marine. If youre an aquatic lover looking to build a wordrobe of different versions and takes on a marine scent this could be worth looking into, but I would more so recommend this to try if you're a rose lover looking for a spring and summer inspired rose scent.

I would recommend to sample this perfume to those who don't like rose scents. This is absolutely beautiful composition. Very light, but not watery (which happens a lot with scents that have water notes). It took me instantly to the Baltic sea shore, where lots of rosehips grow on the sand dunes. Few moments later, a gourmand and mouth watering sweetness of linden blossoms shows up... and I can't stop sniffing. This perfume could also be a great substitute to Atelier Cologne "Rose Anonyme". They do not smell the same, but they share the same magical "smell of roses in the wind".

This is amazingly fresh but I don't smell citrus, somehow... there's a sort of warm milk base note that makes it really unique as a rose perfume to me. (That explains why my cat tried to lick it off my arm?). It smells so tasty and good. I can't explain it. It's what I imagine an angel would smell like. It smells very pure and beautiful, but not in the sense of youth / innocence. Like an ancient marble statue in a sacred rose garden that comes to life and grants wishes, or something. Surprisingly, I got decent longevity even from a dab-on sampler. I just ordered a full bottle.

This is a really unique take on rose, and I love it. The rose is there, but it's the aquatic notes that make this really special. The fresh florals are backed by a musky quality that's salty and briny, but really warm and delicious and inviting, especially in the drydown. I always thought of this as a quite feminine scent but recently got a comment while wearing it that it smells kind of masculine, so I'm not sure of my assessment anymore. I love this house but sometimes most of their scents can only be enjoyed as an idea, while this one is totally wearable.

Rose Atlantic is such a romantic perfume...I imagine strolling along a deserted beach on a clear day at the end of summer, wildflowers blooming near the sand dunes, hearing only the sound of the waves, feeling the sunshine and a light breeze on your skin. It's the feeling of being free, or better, of being carefree. Performance is average, not bad at all, but obviously such a delicate scent cannot operate on beast mode. It just feels so natural, breathable and gently aromatic. Kudos for such an evocative creation!

I am not a fan of rose scents so I thought I would hate this but it was LOVE AT FIRST SNIFF. The rose is not at all overpowering and balanced in the best way with the citrus notes. It is bright and fresh but also very comforting. My only gripe is that it just doesn't last long at all (only about 1/2 hour on my skin) which is incredibly disappointing for the price. At first I thought I had found my new favourite perfume but given it just doesn't stay on my skin I'm now on the hunt for something similar.

Totally unique, very salty rose. I'm not much of a rose-wearer, but this one is terrific. Refreshing, and nice to have a pure summer scent that isn't just sunscreen or coconut. Like dousing yourself in a cocktail. It's the only thing I can stand to wear in dense Midwest USA humidity. Ran out of my sample so quickly; just bought a full bottle. Many other "salty" smells end up just being skin scents on me, but I found this one to have a very nice, medium sillage.

unique summery unisex take on rose. Opens fresh, rosy, salty and unusual. On my skin I get none of the shower gel smells others mention, this smells bright but with rich clean undertones. Incredible balance, it invokes literally walking through a rose garden onto a beach. It's great for those like me who love aquatics but are a bit bored, and love rose, but not a pretty girlie rose... This one smells fresh but expensive and really unusual

what a bright salty rose! its really inoffensive, a very easy reach! there is a quality about it that reminds me of soap, but i find that aspect of this scent engaging, its not like grandma soap its just like a nice clean soap. it smells like you’re in a sundress walking along the beach on a sunny day! i do enjoy rose quite a bit so this was kind of a no brainer for me! lowkey would be a kind of epic scent choice for an aquarium date lol

Honestly I kind of overlooked this scent the first few times I went in the store, but I finally got it on scent today and it is beautiful. I was comparing it to the new Rose Pacific so that may skew my review but this is definitely not like a sweet stereotypical rose scent. Kind of a nothingburger opening but the drydown is gorgeously aquatic in a way I didn't see coming. Would def get a bigger sample.

I was particularly anosmic to this for a while for some strange reason, it was extremely faint and wearing it did not change anything. Thankfully I can smell it now and it is one of the best aquatic florals I've encountered so far. I get a slightly salty sand / beachy accord with a gentle waft of a green rose bush singing from a distance. Ethereal and very pretty, makes me want to watch Sailor Moon.

Gorgeous scent. I don't get much salt or marine vibes, strangely; I get an exceedingly clean, fresh, wild rose blossom, gentle citrus, and lots of linden buds (linden reminds me of my beloved Swiss dad's linden tea, so it's a very pleasant memory trigger). Very short-lived, but that's what I was expecting. I found it for a killer price at a discounter; not sure I would have gotten it otherwise tbh.

This smells like Nantucket. Bright washed out colors fresh linens, cultivated casual beauty. The rose is very mild and mingles with green citrus. It takes me for a walk past sunny gray houses and bright dunes with beach plants clinging to them. Performance is mild, I just keep respraying. This is actually a good thing as rose can easily become an overwhelming terror. Timeless class.

This scent is very sentimental for me as I grew up in a small Nova Scotia seaside village covered in wild roses in the summer. I got a small decant of this and went though it quickly. great for office or daytime sling/summer wear. Sadly doesn’t last more than an hour on me and very little sillage. I still may pick up a full bottle and candle but wish it was a bit longer lasting,

One of my ultimate favorites. Somehow the fantasy of salty sea air is captured in this. It is so aquatic and has the quality of luscious citrus and rose without actually smelling like either. It is just a delicious aquatic scent. Has an essence of sweetness but it is still high end and fresh. I wear it to bed a lot because it feels so decadent but it is light.

It is certainly a unisex fragrance. Smells exactly what it says, rose with a marine freshness and a bit of salt. Beautiful pleasant smell. It does not last long though, maybe 2 hours max and very close to the skin. DSDurga makes some very innovative fragrances. Not all of them are to my liking but they do make some crazy interesting smells. I like this brand.

Her skin or her breath gave off a faint new smell, a smell that seemed to Grant like green stems in rank water." something just a touch too fetid about the marine spray, but when it makes you run back into those rose petals's arms, they never tasted so sweet.

A lovely maritime rose for hot weather, though short-lived. This is very much a "what you see is what you get" fragrance. Citrus at the top that leaves quickly, giving way to a green (linden, grass), fresh rose, saltwater, and musk. Leans feminine, but once I've undone the top three buttons on my shirt, I'm long past caring about that anyway.

I loved this scent, it smelled like rose and beach and clean linen, and it brought happy smile to my face. For about an hour. After that it smelled like my skin, and the magic was gone. I'm now on the hunt for something similar to this with a bit of staying power, and if I fail to find it I'll come back to this and layer with the same lotion.

DS and Durga does such an excellent job capturing the notes of salty sea water in the air. A walk on the beach in New England during the summer, passing rose bushes as you make your way to the lighthouse and breathe in the scent of the waves that drift through the breeze as you take in the Atlantic ocean. Clean, nostalgic summer happiness.

Lovely and enjoyable rose scent. Fresh, bright, uplifting. Youthful rose with just the right amount of a citrusy twist and a just little bit of salt. Not powdery like a lot of rose fragrances tend to be. Very nice for summer. I wish the performance was a bit better, but with a fresh light fragrance, you can't really expect a beast mode.

I stay away from full bodied roses, especially when they lean into vanilla or musks. They can feel too heavy, too formal. This one stays light. A soft rose, lifted by salty notes, citrus and linden, sheer and clean. It stays steady from opening to drydown, linear and restrained. Technically a floral, spiritually a mineral.

I definitely have a type. I love rhubarb in fragrances and nothing can convince me that this is not a rhubarb centric fragrance. I don't smell an aquatic rose. I smell rhubarb in all its glory. A beautiful frag. I wanna swim in it. I wear this nearly every day in the summer and it gives me such a confidence boost.

I was looking for an everyday, at the office summer perfume and this one's incredible! The juiciest rose covered in dewy sea water droplets. That's it, and it's so perfect and inoffensive. It has great longevity (7hrs) but my skin chemistry seems to love florals, and holds the scent much longer.

This is a really nice dewy, green rose made a little more unisex with the salty and mossy notes. Seth really nailed the "chilly Atlantic coast" vibe he was going for - a beachy scent that is NOT referencing coconut oil or tropical flowers. Just a bracing breeze and blinding sunshine.

Oh boy, I dont know what is in this fragrance but it hits me with some crazy nostalgia and comfort. It smells like I staring at the sea holding a rose bouquet, and maybe sipping some fizzy water with a lemon slice. This might be my choice for next summer!

I enjoy this perfume a lot. It is a light, sweet, and flirtatious rose scent. Even though it is not the most excited or unique fragrance I had, there is something about it that makes me keep reaching for it. Beautiful fragrance. I hope you enjoy it.

Salty, zesty rose with an unexpectedly charming drydown. This is how you want to smell when you don’t need to prove anything anymore. Layers beautifully with a body lotion from the line. What a pleasure!

This is one of my favorite summer fragrances. It’s sparkling, airy, with fresh rose floral and green notes. I would consider it leaning more feminine. It reminds me of my beloved Hermes Jour.

Obsessed with the salt note. Smells like learning that the sirens were not mermaids but actually more like squawking gull-women.

A fresh and bright rose scent with salty lemon oceanic vibes.

Lemon & juicy roses in general with watery effect and slight fresh salt. No grass, no vetiver, and definitely no musk. a fresh rosy blend that is quite interesting somehow, as it doesn't have that peppery sharp rose thing that accompanies red roses, just a juicy sweet red roses. Edit (9th Feb 2020) After 3+ years... I am getting a beach sand with salty sea spray, linden, & barely hints of roses. It's not the usual aquatic blend, it's more of a dry yet barely wet beach in the morning between spring & summer seasons. I normally dislike the aquatic blends but this one is quite impressive in away that i don't sense any rancidity because of sea spray (ocean spray!). The colder it goes the roses appears and in a juicy way, i believe that was the time when i sensed that roses to go juicy back then. It's quite cute as i believe it's dry down is the best and shows it's charm. Edit (18th Jan 2021) After a year now using the same sample from Dec 2016, This is a licious juicy delicious sweet roses with apricots, & peaches and i believe the Bulgarian roses with hints of salt, ocean breeze, and sea spray. When it cools down i start to get a hint of seaweed as it adds a tiny dirty-nasty note within this juicy sweet mix. The more i try it the more i enjoy it although i dislike aquatic blends but this blend is quite different.

Smells pretty much like the listed notes. The opening is my favorite part where the rose note is its most tender, beautiful, watercolor self. The supporting notes add a mineralic, ozonic, and also melon-y quality. Linden perfumes always have a melon undertone to me and that'show I interpretthe linden here. I can also see the green apple association some are getting. By the time the top notes burn off, the perfume smells much more synthetic fruity-floral to me. In fact it is nearly identical to a Votivo candle I had called Rush of Roses which was a fresh, mildly green, fruity, dewy, and ozonic scent. I can't separate this $$$ perfume from my $ candle, thus kicking it down a notch. In fact, the more I smell it, the more I feel like I could find this smell in a Meyers cleaning product line-up. It's still pleasant, (and I liked the candle as well) but I wouldn't spend that kind of money on it.

Well first of all I think we need to distinguish what's soft in terms of sillage and what's soft in terms of projection. If I think about the first this perfum lasts more than 12 hours on my skin and it developes very well. The first impression you have though is ice lemon tea, which is not a bad smell but a bit bizarre. Then you recognize the rose which is nicely supported by lime blossom (which gives you the tea impression). There's a lot of acquatics but to me the salt is not that present, but it's for balancing the sweetness of the other ingredients. Quite linear but beginning and drydown (oakmoss and lime to me) are very nice. I am not against pricey fragrances but I am not sure I'd pay that much for this as I would for Cowboygrass.

This is a classic fresh summer rose, but with a savory edge. Interestingly the sweet but tart, dewy rose, mixed with lemon and the naturalistic, vegetal linden note reads as rhubarb to my nose. Perhaps the salt note also plays a role in that, but this doesn't come across as a very salty or oceanic perfume to me. I like how the rose is not soapy, but still very fresh. The linden blossom reminds me of linden tea a bit, which I don't like that much, something more heady-honeyed-floral would be more to my taste. The oakmoss gives the base a subtle earthiness. All in all this is light and simple, but not boring. Though I wouldn't buy it for myself, it's a good choice for a fresh rose perfume if you don't mind spending a little more.
