Cardamom & Khyphi

This needs to sit for awhile. At first it's incredibly sharp, green and bitter. Cardamom is lovely when it's weaved through other notes, nut on it's own it's overwhelming. The waiting is worth it. The perfume opens itself up slowly and becomes much woodier. It's resinous and ancient smelling. Ancient, as in, 6000 years old. This is a compliment. It becomes so very beautiful I wish I hadn't immediately written it off when I first tried it, overwhelmed by the cardamom bomb. It's a wonderfully well composed warm spicy oriental. 8/10

The "Holy Grail" of spices. I adore cardamom and cinnamon in perfume, this beauty is loaded with both. The cardamom in this is phenomenal, blended with the most wonderful combination of rich, warm spices dominated by a stunning cinnamon. This is an ideal comfort scent for autumn and winter.

Cardamom chai. Nice and comforting. Soon becomes skin scent, longevity 4 hours.

Very disappointing as I was hoping to get CARDAMOM. All I got was cinnamon, tons upon tons of heavy, hot cinnamon. So much so that I began to cough hysterically. It was as though I was inhaling real ground cinnamon. Very much dislike both the sensation and the scent.

The first 30mins of this smells EXACTLY like the best (strongest) Chai tea I've ever had. Spicy sweet cardamom with those tart black tea touches that balance it out so well. The opening burst is just ambrosia. After 15mins or so the slightest soapiness comes out underneath, must be their brand of incense but it's soapy vs smokiness to me. It stays fairly linear from there but hey, that's what I wanted from a 4 note scent that's supposed to smell like a comfort drink. Lovely, lovely stuff. Very happy blind swap from overseas! Two thumbs up.
