d ́Anjou

This is a nice pretty fragrance, unfortunately some light fresh type scents just don't hold well on my skin and this is one of them. It was strong for about an hour or so and then faded. Whilst it was there it was a very pretty scent, I mainly smelled the pear but to my nose I could smell something like banana leaf. Nice but not amazing.

58th The first time I tired this I got the fresh pear which is so hard to find, but it quickly faded. The second time I sampled this from a new sample years later, I got no pear at all, just lily of the valley. Maybe this recent batch sample wasn't fresh. Disappointing! 6/10 Still looking for that fresh pear scent...

Pear skin, soap, and red cinnamon hearts. Unfortunately smells like vintage air freshener on me.

D'Anjou is a light, pretty spring and summer fragrance. The dominant note is a very natural smelling pear (Anjou pears- hence the name). The florals come in nicely, rose, cyclamen and muguet, but the muguet is in the background. The petitgrain lightens the juice so it is not too sweet and the musk gives it just a bit of sexy and longevity. This is a light skin scent and is meant to be, but anyone who comes close to you will love the way you smell. I like this one but I'm not sure whether I would want a bottle of it or not. I like these light, ethereal, skin veil types of scents, but this one is too heavy on the pear notes for me.

Enjoyed the fresh pear 25 years ago but it was too pricy for my singles budget. Yikes it is $80.00 an ounce.
