The perfect floral bouquet perfume for me. No greens, spices, balsams, or sweet vanillas taking over the flowers here. If MDCI's Un Coeur En Mai, and Maison Louis-Marie's Bousval were the meadow grass, and Ormonde Jayne's Prive was like green flower bouquet sap, then Divine Gardens by DSH is it! Pure meadow flowers! A florist's flower garden made bouquet into a beautiful wreath. I can identify the marigolds, jasmines, and muguets even despite being blended into a dreamy mix with bulgarian rose for a balsamic touch, amplified by the smell of sweet, juicy patchouli-orange and the air of firs, pine trees and herbs veiling the flowers for naturalist effect, yet never overpowering the flowers. And instead of coming off as shrill, bitter, or cold, the trees (fir and pine) were a perfect fit! It gives off a sunlit-warmed red woody touch similar to a thyme and paprika but less foody more woody. And I have to sing praise again for the touch of that super juicy sweet orange, it's the cherry on top! In short, it's like if Amouage decided to try a recipe out of Jean-Claude Ellena's Hermessence perfumes but instead of Ellena's style which feels of bottled air, it's as evocative as Japanese incense sticks (Shoyeido, Apotheke) but the smoky incense is removed and what remains are a field of fertile flowers in a hot spring day! Divine Gardens is vivid and potent enough to transform the scent of surrounding into itself. Quite magical how the essence of such an experience is contained in this perfume: a florist's cherry-picked bouquet of rich sun-kissed healthy flowers, freshly picked from an exclusive hill-side garden (next to a farm of oranges. Valencia, perhaps.) Spent an hour fixing the notes pyramid of this fragrance because I would not have expected something so bouquet-like from the lack of data and reviews for this DSH gem! Thank you so much Dawn for giving me a sample of Divine Gardens when I bought my first purchase at DSH. This was the perfect pick! Quite the divine garden. (Shoutout to Amouage's Beloved and Roja Dove's 51 Essence for another choice at most perfect floral fragrance. But Divine Gardens is much more affordable while still being made of the highest quality! *51 smells like a delicious flower-vanilla dessert in a luxury cafe, which I also have and would recommend for sure.
