Eau Cerise

I almost can't believe this is 100% botanical, it's very well done for a natural. (ie: Not a generic EO smell.) Dawn wasn't kidding about Eau Cerise being a sexy cherry and I'm rarely one to draw these associations with perfume. This feels indulgent, femme, but at the same time, is quite fun. It's important to note that Eau Cerise isn't just a fruity fragrance, but is quite blue floral heavy as well. That aspect made me unsure of whether I was going to like the frag or not, but I may be a convert. Upon opening, there is quite a prominent lilac accord, mixed with what initially reads to me as red wine. Though this stage is pleasant, I don't enjoy it nearly as much as the dry down, when the very realistic cherry comes out. Admittedly I have liked all kinds of cherry scents, but this is by far the most high brow, akin to the smell of pitting a bowl of fresh black cherries. This mixes with the calmed down florals, creating an early summer feel. Subtle ambrette appears hours in. Wearing this makes me feel pretty. But it doesn't make me feel like a painted doll, it doesn't make me feel like a sex kitten. It makes me feel both free and desirable. I think of purples, reds, gardens at sunset, delicious fruity desserts awaiting. Longevity is not fantastic here, four hours or so, but not weak enough to prevent me from purchasing. Sillage is moderate and enough for me. No headache issues. Eau Cerise is one of the pricier perfumes from the DSH line, assumably due to the higher cost of natural ingredients, but quality wise feels on par with similarly priced niche brands.

The best cherry perfume. At first it smells like boozy cherry jam then it becomes more botanical and you can almost smell real natural cherries. I was hooked how natural it is smelling. Longevity and silage is moderate. I need to reapply during the day but the smell is so great this is definitely worth buying. It's also quite popular and I got several compliments while wearing this, especially from men. I cannot believe this is not more popular. In the end it might not be a bad thing ... I'm keeping it for myself :) It's relatively cheap and the quality is excellent. DSH perfumes are all of excellent quality but some are more challenging than others. This one is for everyone IMO.

This smells like cherry Kool-Aid. It's just a bit too sharp for me. But I can see how others would like it. It's linear, to my nose. The sillage is very good in the beginning. All natural perfumes are in a class of their own. It's an important category. I love DSH scents.

I love DSH scents, but this smelt mainly oily with a hint of cherry and honeysuckle and vanished within an hour or two. Really unimpressed, which is sad as I adore Biwa, Marzipan, and Amande Delicat, so I had high hopes.
