The Voices of Trees

In 3 words: sweet fir woodshop. I am a carpenter and a gardener, so naturally was drawn to this as I have a Lot of scent memory pertaining to the woods and wood itself. No doubt a mass of fir going on here, but it is a sweet fir, not a nailfile green fir, and that is due to the maple wood. The genius in taming one wood with another is highly appreciated in a world where one practically expects all fir-based scents to have some kind of citrus dumped on top of it to guide the nose in. I am glad that this scent stands outside of that to show what else can be done when someone smart and creative takes hold of the concept.

The lovechild of a Finnish sauna and a Tennessee sawmill -- bright loblolly pine sawdust. Dry down is hugging the loblolly -- woody coniferous bark, rich sap. Not much of the needles -- this is not a jolly, citrusy Christmas tree -- this is sapwood/heartwood fire-starter in a dark forest. The sapwood mingles with smoky, resinous incense after a few hours. An outstanding atmospheric that unlocked happy scent memories. Ingenious and well-blended. Practically grew roots.

This is smokey, resinous and green/woody from start to finish. I really find the Fir note to be top notch. I don't get much Maple or sweetness from this but I don't think it is really needed. Exceptional for fall and winter. Try before you buy... otherwise Enojy!

This is a wonderful fragrance. I don't think I really hear the voices of the trees, but I definitely smell the trees, and it's just so good. I would enjoy having a bottle of this.

Imagine you are hiking through a wilderness area. It's late summer, and the leaves have just started to turn and fall. Every stage is transfixed with micro details of being in a deep woods. This is a natural perfume masterpiece. I'm listening to The Voices of Trees, and it speaks to me of magic and metamorphosis.
