Winter White (Holiday no.4)

A delicious white chocolate raspberry bonbon served on a bed of baby powder. Winter white is sweet, creamy, and very powdery with a touch of fruit. The drydown of clean musk is easy to enjoy.. I love this for bedtime all year round. It’s so comforting. Those looking for a perfume that smells like dolls may want to try this one. Thanks so much to the lovely person who gifted this to me.

Winter White opens with a warm fluffy musk. This then fades to a sweet musky powder with a bit of rose and a hint of vanilla. Not particularly complex and nothing new for the genre but I find myself really liking the overall gestalt of the fragrance. Cozy and easy to wear. Lovely.

Musky white chocolate with a fruity rose undertone. Sadly not what I expected, a bit too juvenile and reminiscent of something Bath and Body Works or Victoria's Secret might have. Only have a sample and as I'm not too keen with the scent, won't be doing a wear test. It still smells nice and I think it's still a great option if you want something sweet, young, and safe.

Johnson and Johnson's baby lotion....followed very quickly by sweet powdery vanilla. Simple and gentle but not for me....would have worn this when I was a teen/early twenties when I used to use baby lotion to moisturize.

Perfect Veil in body mist strength

Not what I was expecting at all! DSH Winter White smacks of divinity--the candy, not the metaphysical state. I was really expecting a more neutral musk scent. Winter White does smell good, but you must like dessert scents to be able to wear such a perfume. Divinity is made of stiff egg whites, corn syrup, white sugar, and vanilla extract. Sometimes people throw some nuts into the mix for a bit of variety. The taste is needless to say incredibly sweet, and the scent is very sweet, but not overwhelmingly so. It has a kind of powdery quality to it as well. I would recommend Winter White for testing by those who enjoy the Keiko Mecheri Loukhoum trio. If you do not like those perfumes, then you will not like this. However, if sugar is your thing, then Winter White may satisfy the craving. I note that the subtitle of this perfume, "Holiday #4", does give a hint of what is in store...

This is a fairly simple fragrance, very light and soft with a pleasant powdery sweet scent, but nothing special on my skin. I expected a little bit more. I find that it's a linear scent and lasts only 2-3 hours with a very light sillage. It can be a great cozy fragrance for cold winter evenings at home, just for my pleasure.
