L'Ome Sea Buckthorn

I first bought this EDT years ago, when it retailed in France for barely 15 or 18 Euros. It is absolutely lovely and unique and one, if not the best compliment getter out of my fragrance collection. Hard to describe, it is very fresh without being one of those generic "Acqua" themed scents. It has a lot more distinction and class to it. Definitely masculine yet sweet and subtle, it doesn't have much longevity but retains a nice and comforting presence on skin. A must for sunny days and warm weather. Women love it and ask what it is. I have skillfully and willingly kept the answer very vague to this day ! The new pricing is so ridiculous I still hold on to my old bottle - will definitely come back if they decide to decrease it. In my opinion, this is a quality scent but it classifies more as a cologne to me and it shouldn't be retailed above 22 Euros maximum. I should add that part of the beauty of this fragrance was its affordability. Durance is pushing itself too hard to become a new l'Occitane but margin enhancement on such a lovely independent brand will only deter new customers from discovering them. Wrong strategy ! Make Durance affordable again !

This one gets all the Yummy Mummies on the school run interested, it's old school, smells of the sea and gin, with a barbershop floral whiff. Great value and so far has been a real panty dropper..
