Agua Divina

It seems to me that whatever fragrances were affordably available during the popularization of voodoo and hoodoo were those used in practicing it. Practical. It's here, why not? ;) So... naturally I attach no magical significance to any of these, and find the history of such practices very instructive of human ingenuity! As a sub note - I am highly amused that the company themselves do not know the actual 'power' of their fragrances, only that they sell very well! ;) I too treasure certain scents from traditional, much-loved usage. They are familiar and beloved, and therefore very much wanted - irregardless of their particular beauty - or lack of it. Pompeii is another voodoo/hoodoo fragrance - it's lovely. A very old fashioned, unisex scent that lasted a bit longer than I expected for a mere cologne. (Originally I was put off by a sour, metallic smell in the opening notes, which turned out to be at least partly caused by the metal edge of the opening! Patience produced a miracle... which was the only supernatural occurrence I noted.) In short, Pompeii is the scent of the past, and not a bad past at that. :D I cannot vouch for any of the others , be they the universally liked Florida Water or these by Coudray, but in general I take each scent on it's own merit. With a warm spot in my heart for the oddball and authentic vintage, that is!

The label with this lady is magical enough to attract people to purchase, even before smelling the liquid. Im in love wth this artistic creation... I'v just purchased it now, the bottle looks much artistic in reality.. I think will stock more of it soon to just display with my vintage collection...(:
