Musc Et Freesia

Musc Et Freesia hits every single check box for me - bright berry aldehydic opening - settling into a bright juicy floral musk. It really is everything I love - it smells juicy yet, "clean," the aldehydes create this retro French femme scent that I just simply adore (a little fuzzy hairspray leading into a bright cloud). It is E.Coudray's interpretation of the cotton flower according to their website which explains the musky, gentle florals. Every time I spray this I am transported to Paris in vintage Technicolor springtime - pure joy. It is an eau de toilette and behaves as one so the sillage is short lived, however the longevity on clothing can be a solid 24 hours. I plan to purchase the range this spring to see if I can get more sillage and skin longevity out of it. I love this scent so much that I can never be without a bottle.

This is such a beautiful, romantic, floral and fresh scent! I totally love it, but, it lasts just 30 min.... It's wonderful, like a walk in the park, in the spring 🌸🪷🌺🪻🌷

I don't reach for this in winter, but I love it in summer. If you like Hot Couture, try this. The raspberry is really lovely, strong without being artificial; the white musk gives it longevity (long lasting with plenty of sillage, but then I always "get" a musk note if it's there) and if you like fruity scents, this is a forgotten treasure. Really a very sweet, interesting fruit/floral/musk, becoming powdery as the day passes. I understand "Musc et Freesia" is the reissue of a very old, original scent by E. Coudray (19th C), and I love it. Nice big bottle too.

well. well. well. I was hoping so much of this frag. It has so many notes I truly adore (strawberry, freesia and all of the base). What is the outcome? I am sobbing. It smells like faint strawberry powder on my skin. Little bit reminds me of lipstick. Where did the rest of the notes go??? I could come b

Musc & freesia sounds and looks like it should be a romantic perfume... It probably is, but between all the fresh romantic types, this is a bit of a cheecky one. One with a little punch. Not really for me, but I'm sure it would make a lot of women feel confident (at work, probably).

Very few times do I allow myself to criticize a perfume because it is essentially a subjective question as to why one may or may not like a perfume.... But in this case I feel like I'm saying bad words about this perfume since I bought it several years ago thanks to a review I read in a well-known perfumery, where it was praised in an almost surreal way... Describing it as a fresh scent.... Airy.... Clean etc. etc well.... Let me tell you that for me, graceful, fresh and clean scents are on another planet! This perfume is horrible for me, it smells stale, dusty which I hate.... I don't know why it's described as clean, on the contrary it gives me an almost dirty feeling. I wore it in the afternoon very disappointed because, loving fresh fragrances, I had a very bad surprise, I dozed off for a couple of hours and did nothing but have terrible nightmares.... this is to make it clear how much even a smell has a positive or, on the contrary, negative (as in my case) negative influence on our brain. I remember this perfume with terror, so much so that I threw it away the next day because I was terrified by the idea of hearing it on someone I knew! Sorry to be so dramatic but for me it's a total NO, a dusty and stale musky....

Musc et Freesia is a very feminine perfume.It is powdery which I think comes from the musk note.On my skin,the scent is not so weak,it lasts well into the day.I clearly get the freesia note,too. Maybe the weakness some mention is due to being anosmic to this special kind of musk. I think it's a clean smelling perfume which I would recommend for day wear including work.

I love this old French perfume company and have worn several of their fragrances over the years. Musc et Freesia is my favourite, I have a immediate feeling of bliss every time I spray it on myself. BUT... It does not last,even on clothes and it drives me nuts. Still, a gorgeous vintage floral that is very soft and feminine. Perfect for a go-to-bed comforting moment.

Sadly, my bottle was already turned when I received it. I was able to get the most beautiful sniff for perhaps 10 seconds before it turned to rancid mold. It's so bad I can't keep it. It smelled very breezy, pink florals, tiny musk fuzziness. I do love the bottle and the atomizer is a lovey puff, close to the modern Goutle bottles.

Supremely feminine fragrance. Slightly old fashioned, perhaps, but I can't help but feel 'pretty' wearing it. I keep getting soft, delicate wisps which make me smile. It lingers reasonably well on my skin if I apply it generously, but quickly becomes very subtle, which is often a good thing.

It is very charming, but it didnt last long on me. I dont know for others. But definitely wearable for any occasion- day or night.
