Speakeasy

This is my favorite new acquisition for 2022. ( it’s not a new release) It’s sparkling fresh gin and sweet scents. It’s happy and free living, good anytime anywhere. Soft spice and herbal, to me it’s on the feminine side of unisex where most spice herbals feel on the masculine side. Lovely bottle- definitely worth trying.

While this isn't the most unique fragrance, it's clearly very high quality and delicious to smell. It's what designer perfume would smell like if they actually spent money on ingredients. Love the lychee note in the opening too - a great scent for my girlier days.

My new signature scent for fall and winter.

I got a sample from Moonshine the other day. It's a charming little scent, I can't stop sniffing my wrist out of curiosity. It's fair to say it's not what I was expecting; not as unique as I'd hoped. It does, however, remind me of a polished young woman in the 1920s. Most obvious top note, to me, is the gin. A little woodsy, almost cedary, and a little bit powdery as it starts to dry down. This is easily the most subtle and delicate scent I've ever worn. Sillage and intensity, however, are essentially at zero. Hopefully that's just because I don't want to waste my sample by dousing it all on at once, but a little dab here and there doesn't really stand out much at all. Edit: it isn't powdery, just softly woodsy, and a *tiny* bit spicy. Edit 4/16/15: The recipe has changed, much more pungent in a bottle prone to spilling. Recommend putting perfume in a different bottle. I spilled my first bottle bc the lid doesn't seal properly - an issue they are apparently aware of but refuse to correct, according to email correspondence - so I ultimately had to purchase a new one.

It was an interesting perfume, like a cousin of root beer scent but less sweet. I was expecting something more whimsical but this was more realistic than surreal. The scent didn't last long. I would say it's more feminine.
