intoxicatingly bad! this smells like burning plastic with something fleshy, lactonic, and slightly sweet in the background. dirty and clean at the same time. this could be some type of fuel for a terrifying machine. it fills me with both hope & despair! i obviously don't recommend wearing this, but i feel even more in awe of our galaxy now that i know her signature scent. 🩶

I own this. It's painful. Genius awful. ping me for a decant <3

Wow! I was stunned by the feelings evoked by this scent. First impressions brought on feelings of loneliness and a vague unsettling existential ennui. At the same time, it invites exploration. If this is truly a realistic representation of space, I am impressed with the psychological fortitude that an astronaut must have. It depicts a strong anthropic foil or raw realism that is both cold/metallic as well as primitive and ...sludgy? A lightning storm where one can smell an electric charge in the air, but also an old rotten bog filled with organic material or a "primordial soup". After inital perception, the metallic notes are replaced with what I assume are the plastic/latex/ozone elements, but it reads more like peat and ammonia when mingling with underlying sweet notes of fermented sugar. When I have friends smell this, they almost always mention feces and/or urine, and this is more pronounced on the skin, so I would not recommend wearing this (at least not on its own). Overall, I think the middle steers more sterile than that, so the diaper/retirement home comparisons seem a bit more accurate. If you enjoy unusual or more alternative smells, I think you'll at least get a kick out of this. I don't think it's far fetched to say this scent could even be enjoyable or satisfying for those with a more primitive curiosity as a foray into a most unnatural natural world. For me, while I did enjoy the trip, I also found comfort in eventually returning to Earth.

I just find it interesting. That someone would have the impetus to recreate a smell that only a handful of humans have actually experienced and something that nobody else on earth can actually access. Great idea, I love that. As far as wearing it, fine if you want people to be disgusted with you. Someone described it as a used condom set on fire... I absolutely can't disagree. There is a male excretion smell to this I can't get past. I wish I could smell the biscuit, rum, almond and fruit but it is not there for me at all. It's metallic male bathroom minus the urine. Still, if this is what space actually smells like, it's something I'm grateful to have been a part of. I will never wear it around people, only when I'm alone and feel like entertaining what space smells like. I've already got a disgusted "what's that smell?" from one person today and I put only a teeny amount on my hand. If I want to be kind, I'll say this olfactory experience is a "what a time to be alive" moment more than an enjoyable fragrance experience (at all, there is nothing that smells good about it.)

  • em inglês

this isn't nearly as disgusting or violent as everyone seems to say it is. while i would never wear this, there's something so cool about it, the fact that it's supposedly really accurate is so strange because... why does it smell like that... but yeah. no fruits, no biscuit, lots of latex and lots of sharpie. like yeah, it's not something you would wear, and it did make my mouth water in a "i may throw up" way at first, and it stays on your skin for far too long, it's cool to know that this is what space... smells like? i think?

  • em inglês

This is very unique! Not sure if its something anyone would wear (unless you're dressing up like an astronaut or alien. I can smell gunpowder, metal, fire and what I assume are the Ozonic notes. I understand the hype, the weirdness and the concept. This reminds me of Bowie's Space Oddity - I actually felt a sense of fear and loneliness. Unfortunately this is something you blind buy (I would'nt advise, unless you are a really curious individual).

  • em inglês

Burnt latex, plastic and a notable metallic tang to it. Like stale air and the smell of a bodyshop amplified tenfold. Literally indescribable, but a super interesting addition to a collection despite being purely unwearable. Did, in fact, make my cat gag when she caught a whiff of it.

  • em inglês

It smells like something mechanical is rotting! I think it smells very much like a xenomorph might fittingly enough, artificial things gone wrong, resins in the plastic component sense of the word, a bit of metal and a lot of bodily fluids over the whole ordeal.

  • em inglês

This is less of a wearable fragrance and more of a sensory experience. Smells overwhelmingly of burnt rubber and sterile ozonic notes. A sharply air-conditioned tire showroom... fresh steel shavings & the smoldering ashes of a tire fire doused in isopropyl alcohol. Empty, but tinged with visceral remnants of oppressive hostility. I can understand why it invokes dread in some. It's like stepping into the Uncanny Valley version of an auto-shop where something very unnatural has occurred. Once you wade through the burning plastic of it all... there is a stale, artificial, and chalky, fruit stench. Like a rotten, chewed up wad of zebra stripe gum or stale Flintstones Vitamin Pill. As a child, I was gifted a novelty gumball that had been decorated with royal icing and displayed in a small plastic box. The "fruit" notes here have a similar profile. Artificial fruit essences leeched into old plastic. There was an irony in the eternal encasement of something temporal like a gumball. How human.... to create an item explicitly for consumption, only to deny it of it's intended use. Trapped & unused... left to decay inside the walls of its plastic enclosure that will essentially exist forever.

I backed the Kickstarter for this and I got as a curiosity. Apparently space has a smell and it was created so astronauts in training can get the whole experience before blasting off. I don't think this is a perfume meant to be worn on the skin and I advise not to do so. I just spray once into a room and it will linger for about 15 minutes. It's an interesting smell: I get rubber with some metallic at the opening and some burnt almond cookie at the end. It's unique and not something I want to smell everyday. I can only imagine it would last forever on skin or clothes.

  • em inglês

I'm genuinely struggling for words to describe how this makes me feel. Let me make this clear - you should never wear this fragrance outside of your own home. This stuff is loud, obnoxious and will make those within 5 metres of you screw up their faces in disgust at the bizarre scent they're being subjected to. This smells like a group of scientists worked on an unholy experiment - creating the world's first sentient bionic orange, implanted with all manner of circuitboards and metallic parts. However, the experiment went horribly wrong, and the scientists had to dispose of the disfigured and decaying orange as quickly as possible. They doused it in the nearest flammable liquid they could find - olive oil - and set it ablaze. The smell of burning sweet rotted citrus flesh combined with scorched solder and plastic is the only way I can describe this scent. This smells like an impending sense of doom. If you get the chance to sample, I would absolutely recommend it - but for the love of God, do NOT spray this on your skin.

Kickstarter campaign frag. This has the same moon dust note as their Eau de Luna, which is great, but added to that is a reeking mercaptan/bilge note, some body odor undertones, and a burning plastic insulation note that must simulate the ripe conditions of over clocked electronics, under washed astronauts, and the on-board septic system near the end of the mission. The lovely moon dust of Eau de Luna is ephemeral, the stinky spacecraft is tenacious and a bit nauseating. Similar effect as the bilge note in Secretions Magnifiques, but cranked up to volume 11. Wearable if your intent is social distancing.

tested on paper, initially overwhelming paint thinner and sulfur, in a few minutes the alcohol fades away and it leaves a more timid exercise band rubber as the top note. testing on skin, initial spray is the same nightmare, but if you're brave enough to give it a minute and stick your nose straight to it this monster gives up? its giving urinal cake, hand sanitizer and soon-to-expire fruit gummies. honestly a little disappointed by the lack of a rubbery explosive as i am a big fan of the scent of natural latex. this smells more like a factory rubber products are made in rather than rubber itself.

I believe that this can cause you tumors or cancer

This is toxic waste. It doesn't even deserve to be called an industrial cleaning product, much less perfume. This has Tauer and Etat Libre d'Orange cringing with envy that they didn't think of this smell first, even though they've surely tried over and over and over. If some nearby star goes supernova and fries us all with gamma rays, I'm blaming Eau de Space. I'd honestly want to be thrust naked out the airlock than smell this again. Part of the sales scheme of this Kickstarter was to donate one bottle to educational institutions for every bottle sold, and now millions of young aspiring astronauts would rather play World of Warcraft in their parents' basements. Maybe this was all a plot by China to win the space race by crippling the promise of our best and brightest. There needs to be one tier here lower than "dislike" and "hate" called "traumatized." The IFRA refuses to get involved because they only deal with stuff that can merely cause physical harm to people. Which this can, certainly, beyond all the excessive psychological damage one incurs. This stuff does burn: the skin, the nostrils, the mind, and one's eternal soul. I don't even know if nose AIDS is a thing, but I'm pretty sure I have it after smelling this. It came out in 2020, which is suspicious. Maybe it wasn't that people were eating bats, but that they were smelling Eau de Space, which was manufactured in China. You connect the dots. If this has anything to do with the space program, it's that the glass bottle was invented by NASA to be able to contain this liquid without melting. This scent is why no one ever hears Chuck Norris jokes anymore. Leans post-apocalyptic. I didn't get noticed by anyone who lived.

All the reviews were telling me this is disgusting, I saw videos of people gagging when they smelled it for the first time, I even saw a meme from the seller who decanted this for me talking about how this is one of her bestsellers and she hates it (sorry girl!!!) I wanted to like it so bad because hi, I’m Xeno, I love space and aliens and sci-fi. I was lowkey hoping that everyone was just exaggerating and I could enjoy this as an unsettling, otherworldly fragrance for cosplay and editorial stuff. Unfortunately everyone was correct. It smells like old, oily machines, bitter and cold. Sharp, rusty metal. There’s a very strong, overwhelming rubber aspect to it that dries down to gunpowder and burnt plastic. I interpret this less like the smell of space (since space doesn’t actually have a smell), but more like the smell of a broken-down spacecraft floating through the void. Maybe something terrible happened on board. Maybe there was some kind of Alien. Maybe some chest bursting was involved. The scent is overpowering and strong, it made my entire room stink after one spray, and I had to open a window to get rid of it. The hunt for my dream intergalactic cosmic horror signature scent continues

This perfume is a gimmick, pure and simple. At best, it can be classified as an anti-perfume. Your nose will not be impressed with the utterly bizarre choice of notes that are thrown at it. The profile is supposed to mimic the scent of space, namely the scent that met NASA operatives when they opened up the people pod that fell from space after the lunar mission. In fact, dirty people living in close proximity is quite a good way to explain this scent. It is also reminiscent of extreme disappointment at a petrol station, because the car wash is not working. Latex, burnt rubber, melted plastic, spent gunpowder, and burnt electronics are just some of the extremely horrifying notes that make up this utter piece of unfathomable crud. If you want to give it a bit of love, you could say that it is more of an "olfactory experience", rather than a perfume. Something to have in your collection just because it's weird. True olfactory hunters will know of it's sister perfume, which focuses more of the scent of moon dust collected from the boots of astronauts. Eau De Luna is it's name if you are curious...but it doesn't get any better. 3/10. It is a fun piece of olfactory art, but it cannot be worn.

Probably the worst thing I've ever smelled ( ok, the worst thing that came in a bottle ). To be fair, it does what it says on the tin: it smells like a Bakewell Tart cooking on a hot car engine being basted by rum and petrol. But MUCH worse. And you'll never get rid of it. Don't get it on something you can't wash, whatever you do. I appreciate it was designed as a concept rather than a wearable product but it could easily have been both. A few tweaks and a bit of creativity and it could have worked. The Kickstarter was a joke too , damaged, shoddy packaging n all. It was "Made in the UK" only to be shipped halfway around the world to be bottled and boxed and back again. The ones that didn't receive anything at all were the lucky ones ! I went for it because, as a perfume AND Sci-Fi nut, it seems like the perfect fit and it didn't cost much ( but that was still too much ). I keep it as a novelty and because mace isn't legal in the UK.

MONSTROSITY! I like weird scents, but this one beat me. In most cases, when the description gives various weird notes, few of them can actually be smelled. When I read about latex, metal, gunpowder and fire in the description, I thought it would be a harmless smell, or maybe it wouldn't even be that bad, because there was also supposed to be fruits, biscuits, rum... However, it was bad. VERY BAD. I sprayed this devil just once, and I'm never going to do it again. The intense, concentrated smell of burnt plastic, cables, electricity, almost the smell of the Chernobyl reactor is like pure death! Additionally, it stubbornly stays on the skin for several hours, and even scrubbing your skin with soap doesn't help. If this is what space smells like, I will gladly stay on Earth. It is absolutely impossible to wear. Test at your own risk!
