Possesion

This will be a perfume that you’re going to use without being scared of making a big dent since it’s really cheap and not groundbreaking. This was 7,99€ in a famous French dollar store called Action. I wanted to try Eau Jeune perfumes, since they’re the typical teenager signature sent on plenty Europeans, since EJ’s creation, the most famous ones being : Demon, L’Orientale, Possession etc etc... Don’t understand why it’s name’s « Possession » and they describe it as a sensual EDT, because for me this fragrance’s youthful, sweet, and shouldn’t be called anything like « sensual, sexy » or whatever, this is a CHILDREN/TEENAGE perfume !!! Don’t understand why they went for an asian aesthetic either, in my opinion, it’s not making that many sense for a musky sweet scent.. Should’ve been a white, pretty bland/blank aesthetic rather than dark colors that makes the perfume look like it’s notes are more intense, maybe warm spicy, sensual and sexy... But although I don’t understand why the overall image of this fragrance doesn’t make sense, it doesn’t mean it stinks or isn’t holding any quality or value. In the opening it’s a really fresh musky fragrance with the Musk shining through the fresh and aquatic florals such as Cyclamen, Magnolia and Lotus Flower. But make it a bit creamier, powdery as well with that noticeable presence of Vanilla and Tonka Bean, teaming up with the musk to create something soft, creamy, youthful and full of innocence it seems. It’s reassuring in a way, I wish my younger self got this fragrance to go to elementary and middle school to feel cute, sweet and more confident because it’s definitely something that the younger J-A needed. It doesn’t seem to last really long on skin, performs a bit better on clothes, I think it doesn’t stay more than 2 whole hours on skin. For me it smells good, not something that wasn’t already done before, it is a pretty, sweet, innocent and youthful musky vanilla scent. Like I said earlier, wish it was my signature scent back then, it’s such a cute scent and if you’re looking for a gift for a young kid,teen,etc.. This is it ! it isn’t expensive (less than 10€ usually, depends of the stores you go to), it can introduce young people to fragrances, the clean, musky ones to be exact, and even if it looks a bit, and feels a bit cheap, for the price it is surprisingly good ! Somehow, even if I never smelled or possessed (little pun hehe) this fragrance back then, Possession takes me back to my younger, naive and lost self who only cared about her toys and family. I think every youthful musks are pushing these thoughts/memories. I think it’s the perfect cozy fragrance that you can overspray without a worry and it’s just perfect for bed time or if you’re doing something (could be simply going to grocery shopping or doing an oil change on your car by example) and you still want to perfume yourself, but don’t want to spray on a designer or a niche scent on. But this is what I’m wearing at the time I am writing this review on Possession, I’m in my bed, it’s 1am in France and this perfume is so soft/sweet/powdery that it soothes me. Cute, sweet, youthful and soothing scent, I’ll give it a 6,5/10 because I still hate the fact that the sprayer looks ugly and that the aesthetic makes no sense.
