Ruby N Vanilla Oud

I love EBK Ruby n Vanilla Oud, I don’t care what the others say!! This is possibly one of the most opulent Vanillas ever, on the same scale as MFK’s Grant Soir (more how it fills the air than shares the same Vanilla, and also...a little reminiscent of the caramelly-toffee vibe of TT’s Tabit). The woody aspects are tertiary behind this distinctively Oud and Vanilla dominant creation. Superbly blended with fine, long lasting ingredients, RnVO is a joy to behold. I don’t get any barnyard oud at all, but it is a strong and present Oud for a mature person...it is extremely heady and very sweet but still comes off unisex to me. 9/10 (1 point off because it’s a bit linear) ...was not an instant love, but it grew and grew on me to the point that it became FBW. I also don’t want to smell like everyone else...RnVO has that little extra oomph that I crave...but be gentle on the sprayer, this can get nuclear and easily fill a room. Still, something about being cocooned in this scent feels luxurious and decadent, and I'm finding it extremely enjoyable!! And the drydown is Heaven.

An ethereal silky smooth vanilla, brightened with a clean subtle rose and an even subtler touch of smoke (frankincense & gaiac). The second main component is initially a strong animalic Oud but it eventually becomes enveloped by the vanilla and musks which tame its darker nature. A very interesting play on light and dark. Once it’s at this stage it’s quite gorgeous. Really enjoyed this composition. Didn’t find it as animalic as some suggested and it doesn’t last that long before it’s perfectly balanced in harmony.

This is like Delina Exclusif, less marshmallowy vanilla, and a more prominent oud. This is completely unisex. Its her more sophisticated, rich aunt/uncle living in Dubai. ZERO barnyard. If you get that, your juice may be “upset” from altitude or extreme temperatures. If its a sample it was likely decanted while it was upset.

As much as I love the Intense, I prefer this one most. Intense is fun and flamboyant. Oud is grounded and signature scent worthy. It’s not a stanky Oud. I find this one to be the masterpiece of all 3 Ruby N Vanilla perfumes.

De-li-cious! The intense version has this pastry vibe which is fortunately absent here. For some reason I smell slightly camphorated patchouli, rather than Oud. There is nothing animalic to my nose.

Definitely not blind-buy worthy. This is a beautifully blended scent, but if you are picky about your oud, be aware that this one leans toward barnyard territory. I personally don't find it offensive, but the only occasion I can see wearing it would be in an "intimate" setting where an increase in body heat may make it really shine. There is something seductive about the dry-down on this.

Delicious vanilla w/ a slight unlisted ambroxan note & a sharp undertone of subway pee. So gutted! The vanilla is luscious so going to try layering away the pee...🤞🏽

Opening is a no. Drydown is a major yes

Please test this one before trying. This smells like someone sprayed their compost bin with some roses trying to mask the stench. Had to scrub off, can not stand it enough to wait until the drydown. Go for its sibling Ruby N Vanilla Neroli - much more appealing. Although I feel rude for calling it the sibling, maybe distant relative due to having the same name.

One word ... yuck. It stinks so so bad in the opening. That oud is an animal dung smell. I just can’t do it. So sad! As this had potential if they used a nicer oud ! As I would love the original Ruby n vanilla with more woods. But this is just no no for me. So sad! Coz I love Ruby n vanilla intense and Ruby n vanilla neroli is stunning as well!!

No, no, no!! I’ve never hated the opening of a fragrance as much as this one!! I had to scrub it off right away and couldn’t wait for the drydown. Like others have said, this is a very unpleasant oud that’s in the barnyard or fecal territory. If you’re into that, then go for this one, but if not, definitely sample first. I’m glad I did!

I agree with the following reviews that those type of oud is very off putting to me it is a faecal oud! Not enjoyable. Much prefer the sunny smell of Ruby n vanilla neroli! Do test before buying!

I really enjoy Ruby n Vanilla Intense. Ruby n Vanilla Oud is well blended, and I love oud and deep scents, however this oud to my nose smells extremely fecal. I think the most to date of any fragrance I have smelled. For the people sensitive to rose notes like I am, I get rose, but not enough to turn me off.

This oud is way too fecal for me! It has a heavy fecal oud especially in the opening, which does die down eventually, but I can't get past the fecal oud in the beginning. If it was not a fecal oud it would be really nice, but yeah, can't do fecal ouds...
