7 Wonders of the World Colosseum

For some reason I would call this fragrance Casanova, because it has that slick appeal to it. Even though the bottle itself doesn't look like all that, I can assure you that the fragrance definitely is! To start off, this is an EDP fragrance and is VERY hard to find because it has been discontinued and I will always wonder why they have. To me this fragrance is a boozy (rum) cinnamonny fruity fragrance with a nice soft Oud in the background. If you are really looking for a strong and present Oud , solely for the Oud this is not the fragrance for you. Do not expect the same strength of Oud you get in Arabic / Middle Eastern type of fragrance. This is a way more western style of soft Oud. As the first reviewer mentioned, this fragrance does give a pancake'y vibe to it, because of the soft Oud in the background in my opinion. It definitely falls in the gourmand category because it's indeed yummy. Yet it stays very masculine and classy. Performance is pretty good, nothing over the top and nothing to be disappointing about either. I have NO regret's at all for having bought this blind. As a matter of fact I am very excited to say that I am a proud owner of this nice discontinued Gem.

This is a very sweet scent. I kinda like it. It is also a bit hard to find it seems. I was able to buy it at a perfume store in Las Vegas, NV. My girlfriend claims that it smells like "pancakes and waffles" ...but anyway to me it smells like a good sweet fragrance. It seems to have good longevity too. Perfect for those long Vegas days walking from casino to casino.

After the extremely positive and glowing review on Basenotes about Eclectic Collections, I've always had my eyes set on 7 Wonders of the World Colosseum. After 4 years, I finally pulled the trigger and blind bought this discontinued fragrance. 7 Wonders of the World is a very well blended, soft spicy, boozy, and creamy fragrance that is aptly sweet. It's entirely unisex as it does not veer off too spicy or too sweet. It shares a lot of its dry-down with Jacomo for Men (Silver Cap bottle), although 7 Wonders is much less powdery and less sweet. It doesn't resemble pancakes but it does occasionally give a nuance of gingerbread cookies or some other spicy, slightly sweet cookie/bread. While this is discontinued, it does pop up regularly on eBay and random, small internet shops throughout the country. Be warned: I've read bottles leaking/not well made and arriving through the mail leaking. I can confirm this as my bottle came leaky and damaged. The package arrived smelling wonderful, of course. This being my 3rd Eclectic Collections fragrance, I can attest to there being absolutely no nasty, cloying, cheap aroma-chemicals. That fact alone makes 7 Wonders easily worth the $20 price. Just to note, this is not a statement fragrance. It's a classy, casual fragrance that is appropriate for the office, a date, or just running errands. It's a fragrance YOU wear. Not the other way around.

I love this perfume! The composition is exceptional and the ingredients are of the highest quality. It's fruity and sweet and a little powdery at the opening, with the plum and cinnamon nicely balanced and every note well represented. It's less a melange of flavors and more of individual notes playing in concert. This has become one of my favorites in a very short time. There is nothing offensive or off putting about it at all. I just can't get enough of it, so I bought another bottle. I've only done this once before. The packaging and marketing concept is fun loving, easy going, and a little adventuresome. Nothing pretentious about this at all. I like it, I like it a lot. My only suggestion might be that the quality of the juice exceeds the quality of the bottle by a country mile. Still, it's kind of cool looking. As is this would make a great gift for a young man.
