Mona Lisa

I bought this as I have an uncanny attraction to hidden gems and inexpensive fragrances which is perfectly describes Mona Lisa by Eclectic Collections. Mona Lisa opens with a strong, clean tuberose note and sparkling fruity notes. There truly is an inkling of all the fruity notes listed. At times, the fruity notes combine to make a sugar-free-grape-syrup nuance and ride on-top of the tuberose during the opening and heart. The drydown is all creamy tuberose, musk, and a muted white and black pepper accords. Mona Lisa is absolutely unisex as the tuberose is very clean and there is a dry musk. The fruity notes are not sweet at all. They provide the "freshness" found in many modern men's fragrances as they lean towards a more citric nuance rather than being candy-like. The bottle is gorgeous and a work of art! It looks so opulent standing next to my other fragrances. There are absolutely no cloying chemicals or nasty synthetics used in Mona Lisa. It smells like a high-end designer or niche. Mona Lisa is a sleeper hit within the indie and fragrance community. A definite recommend and blind buy for me!

10/24/19 - notes: tuberose, patchouli, mandarin orange, red apple, passionfruit and watermelon. On first spritz, the floral and fruit notes are strong with a sharp alcohol note. After 5 minutes, this frag really blooms. I sprayed it on as I was leaving and, as I was driving, I was thinking “I’ve smelled this before in my youth in the late 80s/early 90s... What is it?” Then it hit me about a half hour later when it really had time to warm on my skin... Remember Sand & Sable? Not a strong, but it’s got that creamy sensual feel to it. I was daydreaming about that afterglow moment: time has stopped... you feel exhilarated and so relaxed... everything’s happy and life is good... When this frag settles, that’s where my head and heart are. What gives it that animalistic note? Musk isn’t listed but I gotta wonder 🤔 I wish it lasted longer. Seriously - two hours tops! Unless you douse your hair and clothing. But, oh! Do I LURRRRV it 🥰🔥 Worth reapplying!

I recently got a bottle. It looks the same with the same name, but the notes are listed as follows: Ylang Ylang, Jasmine, and Rose. However, it really doesn’t smell like that. This is a Jadore dupe. It is smooth and clean without being sharp. Melon soap is a good short description. I have been enjoying the this.

From just reading the notes, it's really easy to mistake this fragrance for one that's bound to be headache-inducing with fruity sweetness. Especially with the watermelon! Is it lollipop watermelon or natural watermelon? I think it is an artificial watermelon, but don't worry, you won't be smelling like a lollipop at all with this. This is very unisex to me, definitely not too sweet, fresh but not exactly a freshie. It's nice to wear to work or wear with friends. The tuberose is pretty intense sometimes. I'll smell it one day and get the fruit notes, and then the next it'll just be all tuberose. I basically blind bought this, I smelled in the store but that place reeked so badly of mens' cologne that I didn't get to fully smell anything. There really isn't anything in here that I think a person wouldn't like, unless they really hate tuberose. I'd say it's safer to wear than to buy for someone else, though. It seems like either you get the fruit and tuberose blend or you get TUBEROSE, in big capital letters, going in for an olfactory K.O. This is really likeable, and I never hear anyone talk about it. I wonder why, the bottle is so cool and feels a lot like a higher end bottle would. The picture certainly does not do the beautiful bronze Mona Lisa on the bottle justice. My only complaint is the font they used, but I guess they had to skimp on the graphic design budget to bring us a better fragrance. They tried.

I gifted this to my ex-wife. I know from experience the Eclectic Collections 2nd generation scents are world-class. This scent is heavy tuberose and some fruits around the edges. I would describe the fruit as tangy, but they are really only a supporting role for the tuberose. The only tuberose heavy scents I know are Jeanne Arthese Cobra and Poison. The tuberose here is powerful. This bottle was a beast mode perfume. One spray was too much. It smells pleasant, but very powerful. Everyone in the room will know you just walked in. If you like it, 100ml will last you a several years. My ex was spraying it in the air and walking through the mist. It was still super-strength. I could taste it from 5 feet (2m). It is a fruity floral and if you like tuberose, you should love this quality scent. It definitely does not smell cheap. It smells great, just spray sparingly. I am heavy on the sprayer myself when I apply cologne, and this was loud for me. In my opinion, it is 100% feminine. For $10 shipped from ebay, it is money well spent. This would be a good perfume to decant in a glass bottle with a vintage stopper.

Ive been told that this is similar to Hot Couture Givenchy..which is my all time favorite! I am going to try it and I will update!
