El Secreto de la Alcazaba

Inside the Alcazaba is a secret water well known as the Airón Well. The purpose of this Well was to self-supply water to the population without having to go out and expose themselves to possible dangers in the event of a siege. The biggest secret however of this well was the quality of the water coming from a natural spring that was discovered under the fortress. Fast forward 900 years later and a perfumer by the name of Paul Kiler teamed up Ecuacion Natural and decided to create a perfume from this natural spring water and name it El Secreto de la Alcazaba! An even bigger secret however lies in the fragrance of El Secreto de la Alcazaba as it manages to transport the wearer 900 years back in time and experience the wonders of the Alcazaba market and it's surroundings. The scent strongly opens with a blast of saffron adding a slight hint of coffee and ginger that seem to be even more noticeable later on in the base notes. The opening takes you on a journey inside the open market during the times of the Muslim Malaga. Once your olfactory senses have taken enough of the market you are invited inside the beautiful courtyard of the Malaga to experience the beautiful garden of the palace. The incredible smell of carnations and jasmine along with a slight hint of tobacco take over the saffron giving it a more peaceful environment away from the noisy market. People are sitting in the garden enjoying tea and coffee whilst the beautiful breeze of the Mediterranean sea fills the air with the smell of incense from the benzoin, amber and tonka bean base notes. El Secreto de la Alcazaba is an olfactory sensory experience that is unique, rich and unlike anything ever created. It’s a fragrance that has been hidden for far too long now and every serious perfumer needs to discover or own this piece of art. If the brief for the perfume was 'a spicy-immortelle-tumeric soup, with tobacco sprinkled on top and it will hurt while drinking it' then the perfumer totally nailed it.

Very unique indeed, would not have imagined a strong coffee note. To me it seemed a lot more like an oriental leather, but now looking at notes makes sense. Nonetheless this is extremely oriental to me. Spicy, thick, unisex leaning masculine. Lots of tobacco and coffee but I also (imagined I guess) some leather there. Giving me shisha bar vibes too, with something soapy beneath, soapy and incense sticks. Quite a sobering scent actually, which goes well with the coffee note. Arabic coffee and shisha bar in Malaga next to the spicy perfume shop vibes. Something "sweaty" about it too, no cumin, but maybe there are some camels around that coffee shop. :P I guess this creation is trying to time travel the wearer as well as regular travel. 10 ml of this up for swap in the UK - pm me!
