Vétiver Imaginaire

Okay so I read the blurb and my expectations were that they were going in heavy with the pseudo neuro science with their "destress accord". Buuuut.... I really really love this fragrance and I have truly been feeling more grounded and relaxed while wearing it. Maybe it's because it smells so lovely that I'm taking the time to pause and breathe it in. I'm not a fragrance expert at all, but I'm wondering if/guessing it has iso E in the mix. It's got that fuzzy woody smell that wafts off the skin. I actually bought a full bottle on the same day as trying the sample (and I'm usually a minimalist with fragrance buying, only having one or two full bottles on the go at a time).

This is, hands down, my fav vetiver ever. It’s in the same vein as TF Grey Vetiver, as in - it’s citrusy, sunny and woody. But here (instead of grapefruit) vetiver is accompanied with juicy, ripe oranges and whiffs of white florals in the background (jasmine in particular). Perfectly unisex, although it is something that might be considered as leaning towads traditionally masculine scents. (my husband stole my bottle, it’s not over yet) Easygoing and chic. Lovely.

Very fresh and pretty fragrance. I get a burst of citrus and vetiver with some creamy jasmine. Very luxurious and fresh.

I am genderfluid, but I mostly lean femme. This is the perfect fragrance for my most masculine days — it makes me feel cool and confident and strong. :-) it’s sporty and outdoorsy, kind of, but also very clean and bright! Nice, natural smelling concoction that is essentially aromatherapy (which I didn’t know until after I got it). Love it!

I got this as part of my Scent bird membership, and I’m so glad I did. It starts with an invigorating coral-toned citrus, with a slightly green backing. But it’s really the dry-down that I love. The cedar takes center stage for me, brought together with the vetiver by something papery and creamy, almost like orris, despite orris not being in the note breakdown. Such a chic dry-down. It makes me want to wear a crisp linen suit. Perfect for springtime, but I’ve worn it all through summer and now into fall. Highly recommend if you love a citrus and crisp wood!
