Annicke 2

A beautiful, elegant, and tranquil fragrance. It evokes a soothing autumn afternoon as dusk begins to settle. Warm hazelnut notes touched with sweetness intertwine with delicate vanilla and hints of incense and woods like a distant reminiscence of a fireplace welcoming you with comforting warmth after a long day. The florals remain in the background, contributing more of an herbaceous aura and subtle sweetness than a distinct presence. As the fragrance unfolds, it maintains its calm, enveloping character. The composition is long-lasting, though rather quiet in projection. Restrained, elegant, comforting, and serene, a beautiful fragrance and a pleasure to wear.

I got up this morning and started making my coffee. Turkish, black, with one spoon of brown sugar, as always. But when I opened the brown sugar can, I suddenly smelled Annicke 2! I bought it three days ago and couldn't figure out why is this scent so familiar. Now I know - it's my spoon of brown sugar 😃 Aside from that, it also reminds me of Escada S which I had 10 years ago and sold it very quickly. Back then it was too elegant for me, totally didn't go with my way of life, mindset and black metal music. I remember that hazelnut note was very prominent and it just wasn't what I expected. The hazelnut note is the most prominent note here as well. But 10 years and 1 pandemic later, I still like rock and metal music, I wear colourful hoodies more often than black shirts, and I don't expect the perfume to match my wardrobe or occasion. I expect it to match me. And it turns out that hazelnut and brown sugar match my mornings perfectly 🙃

Soft, powdery woods with a bit of nutty, spicy sweetness from the hazelnut. Nice and unique. Unisex but leaning a bit feminine.

Another mass appealing fragrance. It's floral with a little sweetness. Nice but not super special. Good for office work.

A slightly gourmand fragrance. Nutty and bready from the hazelnut and smooth and creamy from the sandalwood and fig.

A little sweet. Very feminine. Pleasant. Not too strong. Not too light. Not similar to anything.

It reminds me of one of female Iceberg 74 for some reason... it's sweet and fruity, yellow florals etc, and after a while it smells like a sticky caramel candy, I'd say for autumn, winter and definitely evening, quite mature. But something about it says cheap... I don't love it.

I don’t smell the sour/wet clothes, but there is something off that doesn’t smell right after the dry down. First spray, so lovely, but then it’s all downhill from there.

Tried this yesterday and also had the wet-laundry, sour smell. Couldn't stand it, but it does last forever, so theres that!

Very similar DNA as in Juicy Couture - Viva La Juicy Noir. Sweet berries and vanilla on a woody base. Unfortunately a pass for me, I expected something much more smooth, milky and sophisticated.

Out of the sample set Annicke 2 sounded so appealing from the note list but immediately no. I get a sickly syrupy dried fruit smell, not a fan.

After falling in love with the masculine-leaning classic coffret from Eight & Bob, I was excited to try the Annicke feminine offerings. However, they are slightly disappointing so far. Annicke 1 was a generic aquatic peony, and Annicke 2, though (easily) more interesting, isn't something I would wear. As @PerfumePixie87 below has said, it is best described as a sweet, dried fruit scent. There is a nice nutty undertone to the opening, adding a gourmand quality to this scent, but overall it is too sweet and rather syrupy rather than the rich, honeyed scent it could have been. It has an interesting gourmand opening - easily the best part of this scent - but then becomes cloying. A2 opens with a jammy fruitiness, not particularly figgy, more date-like, sweet and honeyed in the manner of dried fruit. The nuttiness follows, adding a nice counterpoint, and the orange is sweet and peachy. It is at its best here. As it develops, heady white florals emerge, smooth and tropically sweet. Alongside the dried fruit accord, it becomes a little cloying. A sweet vanilla base emerges, alongside soft woody notes that temper it somewhat, but it is too syrupy-sweet for my liking. It fades to a musky vanilla skin scent. Sillage is moderate and longevity is long-lasting. An uneven scent that could have been great, A2 is ultimately too syrupy-sweet and cloying for my liking. The House of Oud Dates Delight is a superior alternative in a similar vein, featuring a rich, honeyed amber base instead of synthetic vanilla and tropical florals. I don't dislike this, but I've smelled far better. 3/5.

I don't know if I received a bad batch, but this particular perfume makes my body and my clothes smell so sour in the worst way possible. A weird blend of the sourness of damp, sweaty clothes left in the hamper overnight and tumeric on wet moss. I love the scent of the first whiff you get when you spray this, but once it cools off, it's such a mess. I love Eight and Bob usually, so this one really surprised me. I'm sure I must have gotten a bad bottle.

Very faint, it smells of a sweet nothing.
