Annicke 5

Annicke 5 is a balsamic, gourmand amber scent with a lot sweetness in the base. It is one of the better Annickes - I have found this line to be quite uneven overall; never bad, but often underwhelming. A5 is a nice example of a sweet amber scent - laced with warm spices and some earthy patchouli, it is a pleasant, comforting autumn/winter scent. A5 has a boozy opening thanks to the rum note, followed closely by the amber which forms the backbone of this scent. I don't get much freshness, despite the listed bergamot and muguet notes. Instead, jammy plum adds sweetness after a little while, with caramelised vanilla developing in the background. It is smooth and sweet here, nicely gourmand. The amber becomes honeyed as it develops further, richly sweet but not cloying. Some patchouli adds a lovely earthy counterpoint in the later stages. It fades to a powdery vanilla-amber skin scent eventually. Sillage is moderate and longevity is long-lasting. Nothing unusual, but a nice example of the genre, A5 is a gourmand amber-vanilla with honey and plum, sweet but utterly delicious throughout - it is really well-composed. A feminine cold weather scent, this is addictive throughout and really quite beautiful. 4/5.

I was introduced to this fragrance, as part of the Eight & Bob Annicke line discovery set, three days ago by some friends who own a really high end boutique/label in Sydney. I was also told to pick one as a gift (yay, my fave pressie). So I sat down with my laptop, Annicke's from 1 to 6 lined up, along with tester strips... I'm going to cut to the chase and tell you that I own close to 100 fragrances (yes, I collect them), but in three days, Annicke 5 has become my signature scent! I cannot get enough of this boozey, sweet plumy and caramelly potion! It reminds me a bit of Khamrah (prob because of the rum, amber and honey), but I think it's the Lily of the Valley that elevates this perfume, making it slightly powdery and not just a yummy gourmand, but a powerhouse and addictive sweet scent! Ladies, this is sexy, bold, highly projecting and it lasts forever (8 hours +). It baffles me that this fragrance, though niche, doesn't have more reviews on this site (only 26) or videos on YouTube!!! It's high-end but no more expensive than some designer brands! Get your nose onto this if you love grown-up gourmand scents!!!

I've had this a while now and I'm really glad I bought a bottle. I'm not a huge fan of caramel and honey as dominant notes, but this is an amazing caramel bomb that doesn't make me nauseated. Extremely sweet, but the patchouli adds grounding and spiciness. There's honey for sure, also amber and vanilla, but it's mostly caramel and patchouli to me. The patch behaves differently than I am used to, or maybe it's just perfectly measured to my liking. The opening is boozy, it's got a bit of fruity sweetness but I wouldn't have known it was plum. Can't pick out any lily of the valley or bergamot. Annicke 5 was gorgous in the summer heat, which is surprising and awesome. I like misting this from a bit of a distance though. 3 mists was enough to have my perfume commented on hours after applying, so it obviously performs well. Also, I'm sure this is GREAT for layering.

The opening notes reminded me of a non-alcoholic rum-flavored syrup that was sometimes used to sweeten tea when I was a child. Sweet, sugary, almost sticky notes, yet at the same time warm and comforting, bringing a sense of relaxation. However, let this introduction not give the impression that Annicke 5 is a trivially linear gourmand. Although it does not evolve dramatically, it is multifaceted, and from time to time that complexity reveals itself. As the fragrance unfolds, the rum nuances gradually give way to a more general impression of enveloping sweetness. Warm, comforting, and long-lasting, it offers a projection that remains perceptible for many hours. While it wore surprisingly well on a day with temperatures around 30°C and a stormy atmosphere in the air, I can most easily imagine it as a fragrance for the colder months.

Whoa! This is a lot! It's super sweet, dense and very strong. There is something spicy here I can't pinpoint, but it's not any of the notes listed. Maybe the Ambre 84 DL molecule, because whatever it is it's intense. Then there's caramel, I'd go as far as saying this is at least 80% vanilla-caramel. Tons of caramel! I keep going back and forth with Annicke 5. Is it too much and just sickening - or is it what seductive, sweet dreams are made of? I love the whiffs I get from my arm. It smells mysterious and warm, I'm so intrigued. Then I sniff closer and find myself a bit repulsed. What's going on? I just contemplated the purchase of a 30ml bottle. I will keep contemplating.... ....Aaand I placed an order for the small bottle. Guess I will update once I get to spend some time with this intriguing scent ;)

the most perfect rum fragrance. It reminds me of jazz clubs, cigars, and black dresses, but not in a way that it smells like you've been drinking or the day after. I'll say this is very unisex. A masterpiece - well blended with vanilla, rum, amber, honey, and caramel with a hint of bergamot and patchouli just to make it balanced. Boozy and dense, one of my all-time favorite fragrances. The sillage and longevity are strong! Beware - DO NOT overspray this one. 1-2 spray is more than enough. More than that, it gets headache-inducing, nauseating and cloying. Edit 21. April: Still beautiful, but I'll probably sell this as the rum note gets very strong on me. It smells like I've been drinking a lot.

I was searching in shop for some amusing perfumes reluctantly on the shelves untill I reach to this one sprayed it and see woww what a nice ambery vanilla scent . the on the dry down plum one of my favorite notes appeared which added from the middle but its obvious mre in dry down .amber vanilla plum makes me crazy so that bought it few days later despite I m male . best in line and more roward male than others .

This is good stuff, a well blended boozy cold weather scent. I get the rum, honey, amber and patchouli. Annicke 5 is dark, decadent, rich and sweet, perfect for keeping the chill at bay on a night out in winter. To me, this is the perfect perfume accompaniment to heading out to a cigar bar for a clandestine rendezvous wearing Chanel lipstick and a fur coat.

WOW! This has solidified my thought on rum being the best boozy note for gourmands; this is so delicious. I love that there's a slight freshness to this (maybe from the plum), which makes it not a sickly sweet gourmand

Smells very gourmand. A warm, cinnamon, caramel and honeyed scent. A little boozy and a little sweet and smokey. I could swear I smell dates and plums in this as well. This is a very good buy from the Annicke’s and it reminds me of Rouge Saray

This is very similar to 21 by CoSTUME NATIONAL, except a little lighter and sweeter. I like this as much as 21 - soft, inviting and easy to wear. If you like spicy fragrances this is worth investigating.

Just a slightly sweet floral scent (I was surprised that floral notes aren’t listed here): very tender and feminine, but nothing too extraordinary really. Pleasant everyday perfume. My ig: scent.guide

Beautiful boozy honey plum opening, extremely addictive warm dense fragrance but something (amber? patchouli?) in the dry down is too sharp and headache inducing. Wanted to love this after smelling on the tester but glad I ask to smell it on the skin and wear it out first.

This notes are Somehow off. Scent is boozy, a bit like a plastic but only for a moment, it develops into spicy caramel.

Looking at the notes, I was expecting this fragrance to pack a punch but it didn't. It's ok but not for me.

Extremely sweet and cloying, with beast mode projection and duration, which is why I gave it away.

I am shocked there isnt a banana/banana liquor in this ingredient list. It is all I can force myself to smell, all 4 times ive sprayed mine since purchasing 1+ year ago. Chokes me out, yet also makes me love the idea of perfume even more, thinking of how everyone's nose is so nuanced, each of our tastes so different. So, at least after the chokehold, it gave me a nice POV. ;) ~Salud!

I’ve been testing this one for a while. And I keep wondering why it’s familiar. 5th time’s a charm, LA BELLE by JPG. It is so similar in terms of sweetness, density, thickness.. all that I (as a floral lover) am extremely wary about wearing. But for some reason I keep on testing this. It has a certain allure, a booziness paired with a honeyed plum, very sweet and decadent, smooth and not screechy. The house has 30ml bottles which aren’t too pricey so I might just get number FIVE one day. It’s a sexy scent that I can’t get my mind off. Lasts forever too which I am very pleased with!

In the drydown I get a lot of that fruity Erba Pura style smell. Like the smell of wine gums or jubes or something. With the vanilla as well it reminds me a bit of Dolce Melodia. I didn't get this at all the first few times I wore it, but the other day I sprayed it on and then forgot what I was wearing and I was sure it was something in that family. Whether that's a good or a bad thing is up to you but personally it elevates it for me.

As much as I like it this profile has been done many times before. Rum vanilla caramel and fruits. Can get similarities to Angels share, tobacolor , khamra , even bianco latte. If you don’t have any of those this would be a good contender especially if you can get it for a good price. the dry down goes to a dry powdery caramel smell which is quite nice not cloying at all.

It starts off like a vanilla cream pie but don't be misled - soon resins join the game and the stuff gets heavier and boozier. Somehow it reminds me of Flowerbomb in the best possible way - slightly sharp flower gourmand with rum notes. It really becomes better after 5-10 minutes on the skin. Amazing for the winter - incredible sillage and projection.

Very long lasting! I sprayed it on a piece of clothing and washed it and I can still smell it 😅 It’s a strong perfume and not safe to blind buy. I bought it a couple of years ago and I like it but it needs specific vibes for me to use it. It also sometimes gives me headaches (probably because it’s a pretty strong perfume)

Omg! I'm obsessed with this one since I've got a decant. Now, I have a full bottle comming. Its so warm, a bit clean at the same time. I get the honeyed plum and the caramel. I'm not a fan of patchouli usually but in this... its gorgeous! A big big love! More people should talk about this one!!!

Screwed again by inaccurate reviews. I can barely smell this if I put my nose to my wrist, no projection whatsoever, I can barely smell anything. It is a little sweet, but I sure don't detect all those notes that are supposed to be in it.

Love this one although im not a sweet gourmand fan! I also smell wipped cream and maybe hazelnut?! Ir is very sweet and warm, beautiful for cold weather

Not a fan, smells of burn tires on my skin. My husband said it smells like too much going on.

Combines the smell of a sweaty towel with sweetness. Maybe I'm anosmic to some of the notes.
